sunlightetc.



Allowatleast10cmofspaceatthetopand10cmofspaceonbothsidesoftheapplianceandbetween

thebackoftheapplianceandthewallforadequateaircirculation.Theapplianceisnotdesignedfor

recessedinstallation(“buildingin”).



Installonagoodfirmlevelsurface,andanyunevennessofthefloorshouldbecorrectedpriorto

installation,slightunevennesscanbeovercomebyadjustingthefrontfeet.



NOTE:Iftheapplianceispositionedonacarpet,softfloorcoveringyoushouldreadjustthefrontfeet

oncetheappliancehashadtimetosettle.

OPERATION



• Thisapplianceisdesignedtooperateinambienttemperaturebetween16℃and38℃.Ifthese

temperaturesareexceeded,i.e.colderorwarmer,theappliancewillnotoperatecorrectly.Ifthe

ambienttemperaturesareexceededforlongperiods,thetemperatureinthefreezersectionwillrise

above‐18℃andfoodspoilagemayoccur.



• Removeallpackagingmaterialsfromtheappliance.Washtheinsideofthecabinetwithlukewarm

waterandbicarbonateofsoda(5mlto0.5litreofwater).Drytheappliancethoroughly.



• Whenyouusethefreezercompartmentforthefirsttimeorafterdefrosting,setthethermostatcontrol

tothemaximumpositionforatleast2hoursbeforeintroducingfoodtobestored,andthenreadjustto

thenormalposition.



• Ifthereisapowerfailure,donotopenthedoor.Frozenfoodshouldnotbeaffectedifthefailurelasts

forlessthan

12hours.Ifthefailureislonger,thenthefoodshouldbecheckedandeithereaten

immediatelyorcookedandthenre‐frozen.



Settingthethermostatknob

Theapplianceiscontrolledwithathermostatknoblocatedinsidethefridge,towardstheupper

right‐handcorner.TurntheknobfromtheOFFpositiontowardsthehighernumbersforcolder

temperatures.Theknobcanbeadjustedfromsetting1to7.



Higherset tingsontheknob(highernumbers)meanlowertemperatures(colder)inallcompartmentsof

theappliance.



Changesoftheambienttemperatureaff ecttemperatureintheinterioroftheappliancesochoosea

correctsettingofthetemperaturecontrolknob,dependingonyourambientconditions.



IntheOFFpositiontheappliancedoesnotoperate(thecoolingsystemisswitchedoff),butpower

supplyisnotinterrupted.

Setthethermostatknobtoamiddlepositiontoachieve‐18℃inthefreezercompartment.

PleaseNote:Iftheapplianceisswitchedoffyoumustwaitatleast5minutesbeforerestartingthe

applianceorre‐insertingtheplugintothewalloutlet.Thisistoallowtheprotectiondeviceinthe

compressortoreset.

Ifthecompressorfailstostartcorrectlyremovetheplugandwaitfor5minutesbeforeyoutryagain

thenthecompressorshouldrestartnormally.



Thestoragetemperaturemaybeaffectedby:

• Howmuchfoodisstored

• Positionoftheappliance



Whenyousetthecorrecttemperature,allthesefactorsmentionedaboveshallbetakenintoaccount.

Shoppingforfrozenfood

Theapplianceisrated

asa4starfreezerandcanfreezefreshfoodandstorepre‐frozenfood.Whenyou

arebuyingfrozenfood,lookattheStorageGuidelinesonthepackaging.Youwillbeabletostoreeach

itemoffrozenfoodfortheperiodshownagainstthe4starrating.



Freezingfresh

food

Ensurethatyourfreezingoperationsarecarriedoutunderthemosthygienicconditionsasfreezing

alonedoesnotimprovethefood.

Neverputhotorevenwarmfoodstuffsintothefreezercompartment.

 

Priortofreezingthefood,foodshouldalwaysbecoveredtightlywithfoil,plasticfilm,placedinplastic

bagsorstoredinairtightcontainers.Thiswillpreventfoodfromdehydratingandtopreventanystrong

odoursofsomefoodstransferringtomilderones.



Storingfoodintherefrigeratorcompartment

Donotallowrawmeattocomeintocontactwithcookedfoods.Forsafety,onlystoreraw

meat

fortwoorthreedays.Fruitandvegetablesshouldbethoroughlycleanedandplaced

inthecrisper.



Milkandotherliquidsshouldbesealedwithlidsandplacedinthebottleshelfinthedoor.



NOTE:Theambienttemperatureofthefreshlystoredfoodandhowoftenthedooris

openedaffectthe

temperatureintherefrigeratorcompartment.Ifrequired,changethethermostattemperature

settings.



Storingfrozenfood

Allfrozenfoodyoupurchaseshouldbeplacedinthefreezercompartmentassoonaspossible toavoid

themfromdefrostingandspoiling.

Allstoragerecommendationsprintedonthepackagingoffrozenfoodbythemanufacturershould

alwaysbefollowed.



Whenusingthefreezercompartmentforthefirsttimeorafterdefrosting,setthethermostatknobto

themaximumpositionforatleast2hoursbeforeintroducingfoodtobestored,andthenreadjustitto

thenormalposition.



Makingicecubes

1. Filltheicetray(notsupplied)with¾fullofcleanwater.

2. Placethetrayinthefreezercompartment.

3. Closethedoor.



Toremovetheicecubesfromthetray,putthetrayunderrunningwaterforawhileandthentwistthe

trayslightlytoloosentheicecubes.



Reversingthedoor



Refrigeratorcompartmentdefrosting

Therefrigeratorcompartmentdefrostingprocessiscarriedoutautomaticallyeverytimethecompressor

stops.

Thedefrostwaterisautomaticallyroutedtothedrainportandintoatrayplacedonthetopof

the

compressortotherearoftheappliancefromwhichitevaporates.

Makesurethedrainportonthe refrigeratorcompartmentattherearoftheapplianceiskeptclear.



Freezercompartmentdefrosting

Frostwillaccumulateinsidethefreezercompartmentdependinguponthelengthoftimeduringwhich

thedoorisleftopenortheamountofmoistureintroduced.

Itisessentialtoensurethatnofrostoriceisallowedtoformatplaceswhereitwillaffecttheclose

fittingofthedoorseal.

Thismightallowairtopenetratethecabinet,thusencouragingcontinuousrunningofthecompressor.



Thinfrostformationisquitesoftandcanberemovedwithabrushorplasticscraper.Donotusemetalor

sharpscrapers,mechanicaldevicesorothermeanstoacceleratethedefrostingprocess.Removeall

dislodgedfrostfromthecabinetfloor.

Fortheremovalofthinfrostitisnotnecessarytoswitchofftheappliance.



Fortheremovalofheavyicedepositsdisconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupplyandemptythe

contentsintocardboardboxesandwrapinthickblanketsorlayersofpapertokeepthemcold.

Defrostingwillbemosteff ectiveifcarriedoutwhenthefreezercompartmentisempty,anditshouldbe

carriedoutasquicklyaspossible.

Anincreaseintemperatureoffrozenfoodpackagesduringdefrostingwillshortenthestoragelife.

Providedthatthecontentsarewellwrappedandplacedinacoolarea,theyshouldkeepforseveral

hours.



Examinethecontentswhenreplacingtheminthefreezerandifsomeofthepackageshavethawedout.



Afterdefrostingisfinishedcleantheinsidewithasolutionofwarmwaterwitha

littlebicarbonateof

sodaandthendrythoroughly.Washallremovablepartsinthesamewayandreassemble.



Reconnecttheappliancetothemainssupplyandleavefor2to3hoursonsettingnumber5before

introducingthefoodbackintothefreezercompartmentandsettingthethermostatto

yournormal

setting.



Noisefromyourappliance

Youmaynoticesomeratherunusualnoises.Thenoisesarecausedbycirculationofrefrigerantinthe

coolingsystem.IthasbecomemorepronouncedsincetheintroductionofCFCfreegases.Thisisnota

faultandwillnotaffecttheperformanceofyourfridge.



The LED light in the appliance cannot be replaced by the user. If the LED light stops working,please

Check the appliance is level and it is not in contact with another appliance or kitchen furniture.

The appliance does not cool sufficiently.

If the door has been opened too often or it has been left open for a while it will take time for the

appliance to reach its set temperature.

Check the airflow over the rear of the appliance has not been reduced due to insufficient

clearance.

Check if a large quantity of fresh food has been introduced.

premièrefois,letempsquelesystèmesemetteenplace.L'appareilnedoitpasêtreplacéàproximité

d’unesourcedechaleur(ex:cuisinière,chaudière,lumièredirectedusoleiletc.).



Afindepermettreunebonneventilation,laissezunespaced’aumoins10cmau‐dessusdel’appareilet

de10cmsurlescôtésetderrière.Cetappareiln’estpasconçupouruneinstallationencastrée.



L’appareildoitêtreinstallésurunesurfaceplane,solideetstable;touteirrégularitéduplancherdoit

êtrecorrigéeavantl’installation;sil’appareilestlégèrementbancal,ajustezlahauteurdespiedsde

devant.

Emplacement des denrées

Zone la plus froide

Vous obtiendrez une meilleure conservation de vos aliments si

vous les placez dans la zone de froid convenant le mieux à leur

nature. La zone la plus froide se situe juste au-dessus de bac à

légumes.

Le symbole ci-contre indique l’emplacement de la zone la plus

froide de votre réfrigérateur.

La zone la plus froide (0°C à 4°C) du compartiment réfrigérateur

est délimitée par l’autocollant collé sur le côté gauche de la paroi.

La limite supérieure de la zone la plus froide est

indiquée par la base inférieure de l’autocollant

(pointe de la flèche). La clayette supérieure de la

zone la plus froide doit être au même niveau que

la pointe de la flèche. La zone la plus froide se

situera donc en dessous de cette clayette. Les

clayettes étant amovibles, veillez à ce que la

clayette inférieure soit toujours au même niveau

que la limite de zone décrite sur l’autocollant, afin

garantir la température dans cette zone (0° à

4°C).

Chaque type d’aliment a une température de

conservation idéale et donc un emplacement

précis à respecter.

Controleer of recent een grote hoeveelheid verse levensmiddelen is ingezet.

Do not position next to any heat source e.g. cooker, boiler or in direct sunlight etc. e .b re Allow at least 10cm of space at the top and 10 cm of space on both sides of the appliance and between the back of the appliance and the wall for adequate air circulation. The appliance is not designed for recessed installation (“building in”). Install on a good firm level surface, and any unevenness of the floor should be corrected prior to installation, slight unevenness can be overcome by adjusting the front feet. NOTE: If the appliance is positioned on a carpet, soft floor covering you should readjust the front feet once the appliance has had time to settle. OPERATION • This appliance is designed to operate in ambient temperature between 16℃and 38℃. If these temperatures are exceeded, i.e. colder or warmer, the appliance will not operate correctly. If the ambient temperatures are exceeded for long periods, the temperature in the freezer section will rise above ‐18℃and food spoilage may occur. • Remove all packaging materials from the appliance. Wash the inside of the cabinet with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Dry the appliance thoroughly. • When you use the freezer compartment for the first time or after defrosting, set the thermostat control to the maximum position for at least 2 hours before introducing food to be stored, and then readjust to the normal position. • If there is a power failure, do not open the door. Frozen food should not be affected if the failure lasts for less than 12 hours. If the failure is longer, then the food should be checked and either eaten immediately or cooked and then re‐frozen. Setting the thermostat knob The appliance is controlled with a thermostat knob located inside the fridge, towards the upper right‐hand corner. Turn the knob from the OFF position towards the higher numbers for colder temperatures. The knob can be adjusted from setting 1 to 7. Higher settings on the knob (higher numbers) mean lower temperatures (colder) in all compartments of the appliance. Changes of the ambient temperature affect temperature in the interior of the appliance so choose a correct setting of the temperature control knob, depending on your ambient conditions. In the OFF position the appliance does not operate (the cooling system is switched off), but power supply is not interrupted. Set the thermostat knob to a middle position to achieve ‐18℃ in the freezer compartment. Please Note: If the appliance is switched off you must wait at least 5 minutes before restarting the 6 nl ow D d de oa GB m fro appliance or re‐inserting the plug into the wall outlet. This is to allow the protection device in the compressor to reset. If the compressor fails to start correctly remove the plug and wait for 5 minutes before you try again then the compressor should restart normally. e .b re or nb de an .v w w w The storage temperature may be affected by: • The room temperature • How often the door is opened • How much food is stored • Position of the appliance When you set the correct temperature, all these factors mentioned above shall be taken into account. Shopping for frozen food The appliance is rated as a 4 star freezer and can freeze fresh food and store pre‐frozen food. When you are buying frozen food, look at the Storage Guidelines on the packaging. You will be able to store each item of frozen food for the period shown against the 4 star rating. Freezing fresh food Ensure that your freezing operations are carried out under the most hygienic conditions as freezing alone does not improve the food. Never put hot or even warm foodstuffs into the freezer compartment. Prior to freezing the food, food should always be covered tightly with foil, plastic film, placed in plastic bags or stored in airtight containers. This will prevent food from dehydrating and to prevent any strong odours of some foods transferring to milder ones. Storing food in the refrigerator compartment Do not allow raw meat to come into contact with cooked foods. For safety, only store raw meat for two or three days. Fruit and vegetables should be thoroughly cleaned and placed in the crisper. Milk and other liquids should be sealed with lids and placed in the bottle shelf in the door. NOTE: The ambient temperature of the freshly stored food and how often the door is opened affect the temperature in the refrigerator compartment. If required, change the thermostat temperature settings. Storing frozen food All frozen food you purchase should be placed in the freezer compartment as soon as possible to avoid them from defrosting and spoiling. All storage recommendations printed on the packaging of frozen food by the manufacturer should always be followed. When using the freezer compartment for the first time or after defrosting, set the thermostat knob to the maximum position for at least 2 hours before introducing food to be stored, and then readjust it to the normal position. 7 nl ow D d de oa m fro or nb de an .v w w w Making ice cubes 1. Fill the ice tray (not supplied) with ¾ full of clean water. 2. Place the tray in the freezer compartment. 3. Close the door. GB To remove the ice cubes from the tray, put the tray under running water for a while and then twist the tray slightly to loosen the ice cubes. e .b re Reversing the door Refrigerator compartment defrosting The refrigerator compartment defrosting process is carried out automatically every time the compressor stops. The defrost water is automatically routed to the drain port and into a tray placed on the top of the compressor to the rear of the appliance from which it evaporates. Make sure the drain port on the refrigerator compartment at the rear of the appliance is kept clear. 8 nl ow D d de oa GB m fro e .b re or nb de an .v w w w Freezer compartment defrosting Frost will accumulate inside the freezer compartment depending upon the length of time during which the door is left open or the amount of moisture introduced. It is essential to ensure that no frost or ice is allowed to form at places where it will affect the close fitting of the door seal. This might allow air to penetrate the cabinet, thus encouraging continuous running of the compressor. Thin frost formation is quite soft and can be removed with a brush or plastic scraper. Do not use metal or sharp scrapers, mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process. Remove all dislodged frost from the cabinet floor. For the removal of thin frost it is not necessary to switch off the appliance. For the removal of heavy ice deposits disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and empty the contents into cardboard boxes and wrap in thick blankets or layers of paper to keep them cold. Defrosting will be most effective if carried out when the freezer compartment is empty, and it should be carried out as quickly as possible. An increase in temperature of frozen food packages during defrosting will shorten the storage life. Provided that the contents are well wrapped and placed in a cool area, they should keep for several hours. Examine the contents when replacing them in the freezer and if some of the packages have thawed out. After defrosting is finished clean the inside with a solution of warm water with a little bicarbonate of soda and then dry thoroughly. Wash all removable parts in the same way and reassemble. Reconnect the appliance to the mains supply and leave for 2 to 3 hours on setting number 5 before introducing the food back into the freezer compartment and setting the thermostat to your normal setting. Noise from your appliance You may notice some rather unusual noises. The noises are caused by circulation of refrigerant in the cooling system. It has become more pronounced since the introduction of CFC free gases. This is not a fault and will not affect the performance of your fridge. Prolonged off periods If the appliance is not in use for a long period of time, proceed as follows: Disconnect from the mains supply. 9 nl ow D d de oa GB m fro Clean and dry the inside (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’). L'appareil ne doit pas être placé à proximité d’une source de chaleur (ex: cuisinière, chaudière, lumière directe du soleil etc.). L’appareil doit être installé sur une surface plane, solide et stable ; toute irrégularité du plancher doit être corrigée avant l’installation ; si l’appareil est légèrement bancal, ajustez la hauteur des pieds de devant. UTILISATION Cet appareil est conçu pour fonctionner dans une température ambiante située entre 16°C et 38°C. L'appareil ne peut pas fonctionner correctement en dehors de cette plage de température. Si la température ambiante est dépassée pendant une longue durée, la température dans le congélateur remontera au‐dessus de ‐18°C et les aliments risquent de s'abîmer. En cas de coupure de courant, n’ouvrez pas la porte. Les aliments surgelés ne devraient pas être affectés si la coupure dure moins de 12 heures. En cas de coupure plus longue, vérifiez les aliments et, le cas échéant, consommez‐les immédiatement ou faites‐les cuire avant de les recongeler. Réglage du thermostat Le réfrigérateur est commandé par un bouton de thermostat situé en haut à droite. Pour régler le réfrigérateur plus froid, tournez le bouton du cran OFF (0) vers les nombres élevés. Le thermostat peut être réglé de 1 à 7. Plus le bouton est sur un chiffre élevé, plus la température est basse dans tous les compartiments de l’appareil. Achat de produits surgelés Cet appareil est un congélateur à 4 étoiles; il peut servir à congeler des produits frais et à conserver des produits surgelés. Lorsque vous achetez des produits surgelés, lisez les instructions de rangement figurant sur leur emballage. La durée maximale de conservation des aliments figure à côté du symbole à 4 étoiles. Congélation de produits frais La congélation doit s'effectuer dans les meilleures conditions d'hygiène possibles car elle n'améliore pas la qualité des aliments en tant que telle. Ne mettez jamais compartiment du congélateur des aliments chauds, ni même tièdes. Avant de congeler un aliment, recouvrez‐le toujours hermétiquement avec du papier alu ou du film alimentaire; vous pouvez également le placer dans un sac plastique ou dans une boîte hermétique. Cela permet de prévenir la déshydratation des aliments, et d'éviter que les odeurs fortes de certains aliments ne se transfèrent sur d'autres. Utilisation de la partie compartiment du réfrigérateur La viande crue ne doit en aucun cas entrer en contact avec des aliments cuits. Pour des raisons de sécurité, ne congelez jamais de la viande crue pendant plus de deux ou trois jours. Les fruits et les légumes doivent être soigneusement lavés, puis placés dans le bac à légumes. Les liquides, notamment le lait, doivent être fermés hermétiquement et placés dans l'étagère à bouteilles située dans la porte. REMARQUE : La température interne du réfrigérateur dépend de la température des aliments frais qui y sont conservés ainsi que de la fréquence d'ouverture de la porte. Fermez la porte Pour sortir les glaçons du bac: mettez‐le sous le robinet pendant quelques instants puis tordez‐le légèrement pour détacher les glaçons. Inversion du sens d'ouverture de la porte Avant d'inverser la porte, n’oubliez pas d’éteindre et de débrancher le réfrigérateur. 9 nl ow D d de oa FR m fro Dégivrage compartiment du réfrigérateur Le processus de dégivrage du réfrigérateur se déclenche automatiquement chaque fois que le compresseur s'arrête. L'eau de dégivrage est automatiquement dirigée vers le trou d'évacuation d'où elle s'écoule dans un bac placé sur le compresseur, derrière l'appareil, avant de s'évaporer. e .b re or nb de an .v w w w Assurez‐vous que le trou d'évacuation compartiment du réfrigérateur, situé derrière l'appareil, reste bien dégagé en permanence. Dégivrage compartiment du congélateur Le givre s'accumule dans le compartiment du congélateur à une vitesse qui dépend de la durée d'ouverture de la porte, ainsi que de la quantité d'humidité qui y est introduite. Il est essentiel de faire en sorte que le givre ou la glace ne se forme pas à un endroit où ils pourraient compromettre l'étanchéité du joint de la porte. Cela aurait pour conséquence de permettre une entrée d'air constante, et donc de faire marcher le compresseur en permanence. Les fines couches de givre récentes sont assez molles et faciles à enlever avec une brosse ou un grattoir en plastique. N'utilisez pas de grattoirs métalliques ou coupants, d'ustensiles mécaniques ou tout autre appareil pour accélérer le processus de dégivrage. Enlevez toutes les plaques de givre une fois décollées du plancher du congélateur. Pour enlever les couches fines de givre, il n'est pas nécessaire de débrancher l'appareil. Pour enlever les dépôts de glace épais, débranchez l'appareil, videz son contenu et placez‐le dans des boîtes en carton que vous envelopperez dans des couvertures épaisses ou dans plusieurs couches de papier pour les garder au froid. Le dégivrage est plus efficace si le congélateur est vide; il doit s'effectuer le plus rapidement possible. Pendant le dégivrage, toute hausse de température des aliments surgelés raccourcit leur durée de conservation. Si les aliments sont correctement emballés et placés dans un endroit frais, ils doivent pouvoir se conserver pendant plusieurs heures. Au moment où vous remettez les aliments dans le compartiment du congélateur, examinez leur contenu afin de vous assurer qu'ils n'ont pas été décongelés. Une fois le dégivrage terminé, lavez l'intérieur avec un mélange d'eau chaude et d'un peu de bicarbonate de soude, puis séchez soigneusement. Ces bruits sont dus à la circulation du réfrigérant dans le système de refroidissement. Le phénomène a tendance à s'accentuer depuis l'apparition des gaz sans CFC. Il est cependant normal et ne signifie pas que le réfrigérateur perd en efficacité. Périodes d'inutilisation prolongée Si vous ne comptez pas utiliser l'appareil pendant un certain temps, procédez de la manière suivante : Débranchez l'appareil. Nettoyez l'intérieur, puis séchez (voir section ‘Nettoyage et entretien’). Laissez la porte ouverte afin d'éviter l'apparition de mauvaises odeurs dans l'appareil lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé. Remarques concernant l'utilisation Cet appareil doit être régulièrement nettoyé et dégivré. Vérifiez le contenu des compartiments de temps en temps. Les plats préparés doivent être conservés d’une manière conforme aux instructions des étiquettes. Évitez de consommer des aliments qui sont restés congelés pendant trop longtemps. Évitez de laisser la porte ouverte pendant trop longtemps: cela augmente la consommation d'électricité et entraîne une formation excessive de glace. N'utilisez jamais des objets pointus (ex: un couteau) pour enlever la glace de l'appareil. Utilisez toujours un grattoir en plastique. Ne mettez jamais des aliments chauds dans l'appareil. Laissez‐les refroidir à température ambiante. Ne mettez jamais dans le compartiment du congélateur des bouteilles remplies de liquide ou des boîtes scellées contenant des liquides gazeux, car elles pourraient éclater. Évitez de donner aux enfants des crèmes glacées ou des glaces à l'eau sortant juste compartiment du congélateur; la basse température risquerait de leur brûler les lèvres. N’essayez pas de recongeler des produits décongelés ; consommez‐les dans les 24 heures ou faites‐les cuire avant de les recongeler. NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN 1. Débranchez l’appareil. 2. Reinig de binnenkant van de kast met lauw water en soda (5 ml per 0,5 liter water). Droog het apparaat zorgvuldig. • Wanneer u uw diepvrieskast voor het eerst in gebruik neemt of na het ontdooien, schakelt u de thermostaatknop minstens 2 uur naar de maximumstand voordat u levensmiddelen gaat inzetten. Daarna schakelt u de thermostaatknop naar de normale stand. • In geval van stroomonderbreking mag u de deur niet openen. Als de stroomonderbreking langer duurt, moeten de levensmiddelen gecontroleerd en ofwel meteen opgegeten ofwel gekookt en opnieuw ingevroren worden. De thermostaatknop instellen De temperatuur in de koelkast wordt geregeld met behulp van een thermostaatknop, die zich bovenaan de koelkast bevindt. Draai de knop van de stand OFF (uit) (0) naar een hoger cijfer voor een lagere temperatuur. De thermostaatknop kan worden ingesteld van stand 1 tot 7. Hoe hoger de instelling van de knop (hoe groter het cijfer), hoe lager de temperatuur (kouder) in alle compartimenten van het apparaat. Veranderingen van de omgevingstemperatuur hebben een invloed op de temperatuur binnenin het apparaat. Kies daarom de juiste instelling van de thermostaatknop in overeenstemming met uw omgevingsomstandigheden. In de stand OFF (uit) (0) werkt het apparaat niet (het koelsysteem is uitgeschakeld), hoewel de stroomvoeding niet is onderbroken. Schakel de thermostaatknop naar de mediumstand om de temperatuur in het diepvriescompartiment in te stellen op –18º. Let op: nadat het apparaat is uitgeschakeld, dient u minstens 5 minuten te wachten voordat u het apparaat opnieuw opstart of de stekker weer in het stopcontact stopt. Zo kan het beveiligingssysteem in de compressor zich terugstellen. Wanneer de compressor niet correct opstart, haalt u de stekker uit het stopcontact en wacht u 5 minuten voordat u opnieuw probeert. De compressor moet dan normaal heropstarten. Levensmiddelen moeten voor het invriezen altijd goed in aluminium of plastic folie worden verpakt, of in plastic zakken of luchtdichte recipiënten worden gedaan. Dit voorkomt dat levensmiddelen gaan uitdrogen en dat sterke geuren van sommige eetwaren naar andere eetwaren worden overgebracht. Levensmiddelen in de koelkast bewaren Zorg ervoor dat rauw vlees niet met bereide eetwaren in contact kan komen. Bewaar rauw vlees voor de veiligheid nooit langer dan twee of drie dagen in de koelkast. Vers fruit en groenten moeten grondig gereinigd en in het groentevak bewaard worden. Melk en andere vloeistof moet met deksels of doppen worden verzegeld en in het rek van de deur worden bewaard. OPMERKING: de temperatuur in de koelkast wordt beïnvloed door de temperatuur van de pas ingezette levensmiddelen en hoe vaak de deur wordt geopend. Wijzig indien nodig de thermostaatinstelling. Diepvriesproducten bewaren Alle diepvriesproducten moeten zo snel mogelijk in de diepvrieskast worden gezet om te voorkomen dat ze ontdooien en bederven. Alle richtlijnen voor het bewaren die door de fabrikant van diepvriesproducten op de verpakking zijn gedrukt moeten te allen tijde worden opgevolgd. Wanneer u de diepvrieskast voor het eerst in gebruik neemt of na het ontdooien, dient u de thermostaatknop minstens 2 uur in de maximumstand geschakeld te laten voordat u levensmiddelen inzet. Daarna kunt u hem in de normale stand schakelen. IJsblokjes maken 1. Vul een ijsbakje (niet meegeleverd) tot 3/4 met schoon water. 2. Zet het ijsbakje in de bovenste lade van de diepvrieskast. 3. Sluit de deur. Om de ijsblokjes uit het ijsbakje te verwijderen kunt u het bakje even onder stromend water houden en het bakje vervolgens wat draaien om de ijsblokjes los te maken. 8 e .b Verse levensmiddelen invriezen Let erop dat alle voorbereidingen voor het invriezen onder zo hygiënisch mogelijke omstandigheden plaatsvinden, omdat invriezen alleen de kwaliteit van de levensmiddelen niet verbetert. Zet nooit hete of zelfs lauwe levensmiddelen in de diepvrieskast. re Diepvriesproducten inkopen Dit apparaat is beoordeeld als een 4‐sterren diepvries en kan zowel verse levensmiddelen invriezen als diepvriesproducten bewaren. Wanneer u diepvriesproducten inkoopt dient u de richtlijnen voor het bewaren op de verpakking ervan te lezen. U kunt diepvriesproducten zo lang bewaren als aangegeven op de verpakking bij de 4‐sterren beoordeling. nl ow D d de oa m fro De deuropening omkeren NL e .b re or nb de an .v w w w De koelkast ontdooien Het ontdooiproces van het Koelkast start elke keer wanneer de compressor stopt automatisch op. Het dooiwater wordt automatisch via de afvoeropening naar een bak boven de compressor geleid, waar het verdampt. Controleer regelmatig of de afvoeropening aan de achterkant van het Koelkast vrij van obstructies is. 9 nl ow D d de oa NL m fro De diepvrieskast ontdooien Vorst zal zich telkens wanneer de deur een tijdje open blijft of naargelang de hoeveelheid vocht die binnenkomt in de diepvrieskast ophopen. Het is essentieel dat u voorkomt dat ijs de nauwsluitende deurverzegeling belemmert. In dat geval zou lucht in het apparaat komen, waardoor de compressor onophoudelijk moet blijven werken. Controleer of de inhoud ontdooid is voordat u deze weer in de diepvries legt. Nadat de diepvries ontdooid is kunt u de binnenkant met een oplossing van warm water en wat soda reinigen en daarna zorgvuldig drogen. Reinig alle losse onderdelen op dezelfde manier en zet weer in. Sluit het apparaat aan op het stopcontact en laat minstens 2 tot 3 uur in de stand 7 staan voordat u de levensmiddelen weer in de diepvrieskast zet en de thermostaat in de normale stand schakelt. Geluid van het apparaat Het is mogelijk dat u ongewone geluiden hoort. Deze geluiden worden veroorzaakt door het circuleren van koelvloeistof in het koelsysteem. Dit is sinds de invoering van CFK‐vrije gassen meer uitgesproken, doch is geen fout en heeft geen invloed op de goede werking van uw koelkast. Het apparaat lange tijd uitgeschakeld laten Wanneer het apparaat een langere periode niet zal worden gebruikt gaat u als volgt te werk: Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact. Reinig en droog de binnenkant (zie ‘Reinigen en onderhoud’). Laat de deur open om de ontwikkeling van onaangename luchtjes te voorkomen terwijl het apparaat niet in werking is. Opmerkingen bij het gebruik REINIG en ontdooi uw apparaat regelmatig. CONTROLEER regelmatig de inhoud van de legplanken. Bewaar kant‐en‐klare diepvriesgerechten in overeenstemming met de instructies op de verpakking ervan. PROBLEMEN OPLOSSEN U kunt onderstaande zaken controleren voordat u contract opneemt voor een onderhoudsbeurt. Het apparaat werkt niet. Controleer of de stekker goed in het stopcontact is gestopt. Controleer of er spanning op het stopcontact is door er een ander apparaat op aan te sluiten. Als het andere apparaat werkt is het aangewezen de zekering in de stekker te controleren. Het apparaat maakt lawaai tijdens de werking. Hij is uitsluitend ontworpen voor het bewaren van eetbare levensmiddelen. Eet geen levensmiddelen die te lang zijn bewaard. Laat de deur niet lange tijd open staan, omdat het apparaat hierdoor meer energie gaat verbruiken en dit bovendien overmatige ijsvorming zal veroorzaken. Gebruik GEEN scherpe voorwerpen als messen om ijs uit het apparaat te verwijderen. Gebruik hiertoe uitsluitend een plastic schraper. Zet GEEN warme etenswaren in het apparaat. Laat alles eerst afkoelen tot kamertemperatuur. Zet GEEN met vloeistof gevulde flessen of verzegelde blikjes met koolzuurhoudende vloeistof in de diepvrieskast omdat deze kunnen barsten. Geef kinderen geen room‐ of waterijs meteen nadat deze uit de diepvrieskast zijn gehaald, omdat de lage temperatuur “vriesbrand” op de lippen kan veroorzaken.
