1. Zu dieser Anleitung
Lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die Anleitung aufmerk-
sam durch. Beachten Sie die Warnungen auf dem Gerät
und in der Betriebsanleitung.
Bewahren Sie die Betriebsanleitung immer in Reichwei-
te auf. Wenn Sie das Gerät verkaufen oder weitergeben,
händigen Sie unbedingt auch diese Anleitung und den

Schallleistungspegel
Dieses Gerät entspricht der europäischen Maschinenrichtlinie
2006/42/EG. Dies wird durch das CE-Zeichen angezeigt.
2. Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Der Laubsauger wird ausschließlich in den beiden folgenden Ar-
ten verwendet:
− Als Laubsauger dient er zum Ansaugen von trockenem
Laub.
− Als Gebläse dient er um trockene Blätter zusammenzutra-
gen bzw. von schlecht zugänglichen Stellen zu entfernen
(z.B. unter Fahrzeugen).
− Im Saugmodus arbeitet er außerdem als Schredder, wo-
durch das Volumen der Blätter im Verhältnis von ca. 10:1
verringert wird und weniger Platz im Auffangbeutel be-
ansprucht und das aufgefangene Material gleichzeitig für
eine mögliche Kompostierung vorbereitet wird.
Das Gerät ist nur für den privaten und nicht für den industriel-
len/kommerziellen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Jede andere Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass im Falle des nicht bestimmungsgemä-
ßen Gebrauchs die Haftung erlischt:
• Bauen Sie das Gerät nicht ohne unsere Zustimmung um und
verwenden Sie keine nicht von uns genehmigten oder gelie-
ferten Zusatzgeräte.
• Verwenden Sie nur von uns gelieferte oder genehmigte Er-
satz- und Zubehörteile.
• Beachten Sie alle Informationen in dieser Betriebsanleitung,
insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise. Jede andere Bedie-

nung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und kann zu Perso-
nen- oder Sachschäden führen.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Berei-
chen. Hierzu zählen z. B. Tankanlagen, Kraftstofflagerbereiche
oder Bereiche, in denen Lösungsmittel verarbeitet werden.
Auch in Bereichen mit teilchenbelasteter Luft (z.B. Mehl- oder
Holzstaub) darf dieses Gerät nicht verwendet werden.
• Setzen Sie das Gerät keinen extremen Bedingungen aus. Zu
vermeiden sind:
− Hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit oder Nässe
− Extrem hohe oder tiefe Temperaturen
− Direkte Sonneneinstrahlung
− Offenes Feuer
3. Sicherheitshinweise
Vor der ersten Verwendung des Geräts muss die Betriebsan-
leitung gelesen und verstanden worden sein.
Sicherheitshinweise beachten, um Gefährdungen für sich und
andere zu vermeiden.
Beachten Sie grundsätzlich die gültigen nationalen und inter-
nationalen Sicherheits-, Gesundheits- und Arbeitsvorschrif-
ten.

Verletzungsgefahr durch unsachgemäße Behand-
lung.
Dieses Gerät darf nicht von Kindern benutzt werden. Das Ge-
rät und das Netzkabel sind von Kindern fernzuhalten.
Geräte können von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Er-
fahrung und/oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beauf-
sichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes
unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren
verstanden haben.

Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
Das Gerät ist bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht oder vor dem
Reinigen stets vom Netz zu trennen, um das Gerät gegen un-
beabsichtigtes Einschalten zu sichern.
WARNUNG!
Erstickungsgefahr.
Verpackungsfolien von Kindern fernhalten.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch und nach jeder Benutzung des Ge-
räts das Gerät sowie das Netzkabel auf Beschädigungen über-
prüfen.
Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen, wenn das Gerät, Zubehörtei-
le oder das Netzkabel sichtbare Schäden aufweisen oder der
Ein-/Aus-Schalter nicht einwandfrei funktioniert.
Wenn Sie einen Transportschaden oder anderen Defekt fest-
stellen, wenden Sie sich umgehend an das Medion Service
Center.
Wenn das Netzkabel des Geräts beschädigt wurde, muss es
durch den Hersteller oder eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person er-
setzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht Betrieb, wenn dies Ihre körper-
liche Verfassung nicht zulässt: Nach Einnahme von Medi-
kamenten oder Drogen, bei Müdigkeit, Krankheit oder Al-
koholeinfluss darf das Gerät nicht verwendet werden, da
Gefährdungen für sich und andere nicht ausgeschlossen wer-
den können.
3.1. Elektrische Sicherheit
Gerät nur an eine ordnungsgemäß installierte Schutzkontakt-
steckdose mit 230–240 V~ 50 Hz Wechselspannung anschlie-
ßen, die mit einem Fehlerstrom-Schutzschalter (FI-Schalter)
mit einem Bemessungsfehlerstrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA
abgesichert ist.
Vergewissern Sie sich anhand des Typenschilds, dass der
Netzanschluss den Anschlussdaten des Geräts entspricht.

Fassen Sie den Netzstecker niemals mit nassen Händen an.
Ziehen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch, vor jeder Reinigung und
bei nicht vorhandener Aufsicht grundsätzlich den Stecker des
Geräts aus der Schutzkontaktsteckdose und achten Sie dar-
auf, dass das Gerät zuvor ausgeschaltet wurde.
Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel stets am Stecker aus der Steckdose,
ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel.
Gerät nicht am Netzkabel anheben oder das Netzkabel ander-
weitig zweckentfremden.
Knicken oder quetschen Sie das Netzkabel nicht.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Stromkabel unbeschädigt ist und
nicht unter dem Gerät oder über heiße Flächen oder scharfe
Kanten verläuft.
Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass niemand darauf treten
oder darüber stolpern kann.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass vor Einstecken des Netzsteckers
das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.
3.2. Sicherheitshinweise beim Betrieb
Tragen Sie stets angemessene persönliche Schutzausrüstung,
wenn Sie das Gerät betreiben, um Verletzungen an Gesicht,
Augen, Händen, Füßen, am Kopf oder Gehörschäden vorzu-
beugen. Tragen Sie eine Schutzbrille bzw. Gesichtsschutz,
hohe Stiefel bzw. stabiles Schuhwerk, lange Hosen, Arbeits-
handschuhe, Schutzhelm und Gehörschutz.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur in der empfohlenen Position und
nur auf einer festen, ebenen Oberfläche.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Kinder oder Haustiere
sich in der Nähe aufhalten.
Richten Sie das Blasrohr niemals auf umstehende Personen
oder Tiere. Blasen Sie Objekte/Schmutz niemals in die Rich-
tung von umstehenden Personen bzw. Tieren. Der Bedie-
ner ist verantwortlich für Unfälle oder Gefahren, denen Dritte
oder deren Eigentum ausgesetzt werden.

Bedienen Sie das Gerät oder den Netzstecker niemals mit nas-
sen Händen und verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals im Regen
oder bei Blitzgefahr.
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich für den Außengebrauch zugelas-
sene und entsprechend gekennzeichnete Verlängerungskabel.
Schützen Sie das Verlängerungskabel vor Hitze, Öl und schar-
fen Kanten.
Verwenden Sie nur Verlängerungsleitungen vom Typ:
− flexible Gummileitung (Kennzeichnung H05 RN-F);
− flexible Polyvinylchloridleitung (Kennzeichnung H05 VV-F).
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Verlängerungskabel so gesichert
ist, dass es sich während des Betriebs nicht versehentlich vom
Stecker des Gerätekabels lösen kann.
Halten Sie alle Lufteinlassöffnungen und das Blasrohr frei von
Staub, Flusen, Haaren und sonstigem Material, das eine Redu-
zierung des Luftstroms verursachen könnte.
Vermeiden Sie beim Betrieb eine abnormale Körperhaltung
und achten Sie darauf immer das Gleichgewicht zu behalten-
und jederzeit einen sicheren Stand an Hängen zu haben und
zu gehen, nicht zu laufen.
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in geschlossenen oder schlecht
belüfteten Räumen oder in der Nähe leicht entzündlicher
und/oder explosionsgefährlicher Stoffe (Flüssigkeiten, Gase,
Stäube).
Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht mit langem, offenem Haar oder
lose hängendem Schmuck. Binden Sie offenes, langes Haar
zurück und legen Sie lose hängenden Schmuck ab.
Achten Sie darauf, dass der Laubsauger keine brennenden
oder glimmenden Materialien wie Asche, Zigarettenstummel
usw. aufnimmt.
Versuchen Sie nie, zerbrechliche Objekte aus Glas, Kunststoff,
Porzellan usw. aufzunehmen.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht im Saugbetrieb ohne korrekt
angebrachten Fangsack.

Verwenden Sie den Laubsauger nicht auf mit Kies oder Schot-
ter bedeckten Flächen, weder im Blasnoch im Saugbetrieb.
Betreiben Sie die Maschine nicht auf einer gepflasterten
Oberfläche oder einer Schotterdecke, bei denen das ausge-
worfene Material Verletzungen verursachen könnte.
Trennen Sie das Gerät nach dem Betrieb unverzüglich vom
Netzanschluss...
− wenn es zu einer Blockierung kommt, die besei-
tigt werden muss
− nach Berühren eines Fremdkörpers, um die Ma-
schine auf Beschädigungen zu überprüfen
− zur sofortigen Überprüfung, wenn die Maschine
beginnt übermäßig stark zu vibrieren.
Berühren Sie keine beweglichen Teile des Gerätes, bevor die
die Maschine nicht vom Netzanschluss getrennt haben und
alle beweglichen Teile zum Stillstand gekommen sind.

3.3. Mögliche Gesundheitsgefährdung durch
Vibration
WARNUNG!
Verletzungsgefahr durch Vibration
Durch Vibrationen, die auf den Körper wirken, kann es
vor allem bei Personen mit Kreislaufstörungen zu Schä-
digungen an Nerven und Blutgefäßen kommen.
Stellen Sie sofort die Arbeit mit dem Gerät ein, so-
bald Sie folgende Symptome feststellen: Einschlafen
von Körperteilen, Jucken, Stechen, Schmerz, Hautfar-
benveränderung, Taubheitsgefühl in Körperteilen.
Um eventuellen Gesundheitsschäden vorzubeugen,
beachten Sie folgende Hinweise:
− Warten Sie das Gerät wie in der Betriebsanleitung
angegeben.
− Vermeiden Sie das Arbeiten bei niedrigen Tempe-
raturen.
− Halten Sie Ihren Körper und besonders die Hände
bei kaltem Wetter warm.
− Unterbrechen Sie regelmäßig die Arbeiten und
bewegen Sie dabei die Hände, um die Durchblu-
tung anzuregen.
Entnehmen Sie den Vibrationswert beim Normalbetrieb den
technischen Daten. Der Vibrationswert kann ggf. aus folgenden
Gründen abweichen, vermeiden Sie daher:
− Nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch;
− ungeeignete Einsatzwerkzeuge;
− ungeeigneter Werkstoff;
− ungenügende Wartung.

3.4. Mögliche Gesundheitsgefährdung durch
Geräuschemission

Verletzungsgefahr durch Geräuschemission
Der Schalldruckpegel am Arbeitsplatz kann 80 dB (A)
überschreiten.
In dem Fall sind Schallschutzmaßnah-
men für den Bediener erforderlich (z.B.
Tragen eines Gehörschutzes).
3.5. Sicherhinweise bei Wartungs- und
Reinigungsarbeiten
WARNUNG!
Stromführende Teile. Es besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlags.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker.
WARNUNG!
Verletzungsgefahr an der Schreddereinheit.
Im Saugmodus arbeitet das Gerät als Schredder,
Schalten Sie das Gerät niemals ein, wenn es auf dem
Kopf steht oder wenn es sich nicht in der korrekten
Arbeitsposition befindet.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur bei gezogenem Netzstecker.
Verwenden Sie nur von Medion gelieferte oder ge-
nehmigte Ersatz- und Zubehörteile.
Symbole oder Hinweise am Gerät dürfen nicht entfernt oder
abgedeckt werden. Nicht mehr lesbare Symbole oder Hinwei-
se müssen umgehend ersetzt werden.

3.6. Betrieb in Wohngebieten
Dieses Gerät darf in Wohngebieten nach der deutschen Maschi-
nenlärmschutzverordnung vom September 2002 an Sonn- und
Feiertagen sowie an Werktagen von 20:00 Uhr bis 7:00 Uhr nicht
in Betrieb genommen werden.
Zusätzlich gilt das Betriebsverbot zu folgenden Tageszeiten:
• von 7:00 Uhr bis 9:00 Uhr,
• von 13:00 Uhr bis 15:00 Uhr
• von 17:00 Uhr bis 20:00 Uhr.
Beachten Sie zusätzlich auch die landesrechtlichen Vorschriften
zum Lärmschutz!
3.7. Erste Hilfe
Stellen Sie sicher, dass sich für den Fall eines Unfalls ein Erste-Hil-
fe-Kasten in der Nähe Ihres Arbeitsortes befindet.
Falls Sie Hilfe (Notruf europaweit, Feuerwehr: 112) anfordern
müssen, machen Sie folgende Angaben:
− Wo ist der Notfall/Unfall?
− Was ist geschehen?
− Wie viele Verletzte/Betroffene sind zu versorgen?
− Welche Verletzungen oder Krankheitszeichen haben die
Betroffenen?
− Warten Sie immer auf Rückfragen der Rettungsleitstelle!

ge verwendet oder eingeschaltet werden.
7.1. Montage (Abb. A-D)
Die Teile oberes und unteres Rohr müssen vor dem Gebrauch des Geräts zusam-
mengebaut werden.
Schieben Sie die beiden Teile fest ineinander, bis die eingearbeitete Nase einras-
tet (Abb. A).
Schieben Sie das Rohr in das Motorgehäuse 1 (Abb. B).
Drehen Sie die 2 Schrauben a und b ein (Abb. A und B). Achten Sie darauf, dass
das Rohr fest im Motorgehäuse sitzt (Abb. B).
Radhalter montieren: Radhalter so weit auf das untere Ende des unteren Rohrs
schieben, bis er an der vorhandenen Rippe (Anschlag) anschlägt. (Abb. C).
Eine Schraube in die Bohrung am Radhalter einsetzen. Schraube fest anziehen
(Abb. D).
7.2. Fangsack anbringen (Abb. E-G)
Haken Sie den Fangsack am Haken am Rohr ein (Abb. E).
Den Aufsteckverbinder des Fangsacks (Abb. F) auf den Auswurfstutzen am Ge-
häuse stecken. Das Verbindungsstück des Fangsacks direkt auf den Auswurfstut-
zen drücken, bis es mit einem Klicken einrastet (Abb. G).

henfolge lösen.
Zum Lösen des Aufsteckverbinders vom Auswurfstutzen zuerst die beiden
Knöpfe auf beiden Seiten des Kunststoffverbinders (Abb. G) drücken und dann
das Verbindungsstück abziehen.
7.3. Montage des Schultergurts (Abb. H)
Der Laubsauger ist mit einem Schultergurt ausgestattet der sich am oberen
Ende des Laubsaugers befindet. Der Schultergurt soll Ermüdungserscheinungen
reduzieren und die Benutzung des Laubsaugers komfortabler machen. Tragen
Sie den Gurt niemals diagonal über Schulter und Brust sondern nur auf einer
Schulter, dadurch können Sie in Gefahr das Gerät schnell vom Körper entfernen.
7.4. Verlängerungskabel anschließen
Stecken Sie das Netzkabel des Geräts in die Kupplung des Verlängerungskabels
stecken.
Führen Sie das Kabel durch die Haltevorrichtung (Abb. I) für Verlängerungskabel,
um eine zu hohe Zugbelastung zu vermeiden.

handschuhe, Sicherheitsschuhe sowie eng anliegende Arbeitskleidung.

einwandfrei funktioniert.

Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Auswahl der Saug-
oder Gebläsefunktion davon, dass der Wahlhebel
leicht zu bedienen ist und nicht durch Abfall von ei-
ner vorherigen Nutzung blockiert wird.
Versuchen Sie nicht, nassen Abfall aufzunehmen.
Lassen Sie nasses Laub etc. erst trocknen, bevor Sie
den Laubsauger verwenden. Sie können den Laub-
sauger zum Wegblasen von Schmutz von Innenhö-
fen, Wegen, Zufahrten, Rasen, Büschen und Grenzen
verwenden. Des Weiteren können Sie mit dem Gerät
Laub, Papier, kleine Zweige und Holzspäne aufneh-
men. Wenn Sie den Laubsauger im Saugmodus ver-
wenden, wird der Abfall durch das Saugrohr in den
Fangsack gesaugt. Beim Passieren des Sauggebläses
wird der Abfall teilweise geschreddert. Geschredder-
ter organischer Abfall kann ideal als Mulch für Pflan-
zen verwendet werden.
Warnung! Harte Gegenstände, z. B. Steine, Blechdo-
sen, Glas etc., beschädigen das Sauggebläse.
Wichtig! Verwenden Sie den Laubsauger nicht zum
Ansaugen von Wasser oder sehr nassem Schmutz.
Verwenden Sie das Sauggebläse niemals ohne mon-
tierten Fangsack!
Beachten Sie, dass das Gebläse nach dem Abschal-
ten nachläuft.
Verwenden Sie das Gerät keinesfalls, wenn Sie auf ei-
ner Leiter o. ä. stehen. Arbeiten Sie nie auf instabilen
Standflächen.
Netzkabel immer vom Arbeitsbereich fernhalten und
nach hinten vom Gerät wegführen.

9. Betrieb
Schließen Sie das Gerät über ein Verlängerungskabel an eine Schutzkontakt-
steckdose an (siehe auch Kap. „7.4. Verlängerungskabel anschließen“).
Wählen Sie mit dem Wahlhebel (3) an der Seite des Geräts entweder die Saug-
oder die Gebläsefunktion aus und drücken Sie zum Einschalten den Ein-/Aus-
Schalter (1) .
Drehen Sie die Geschwindigkeitssteuerung (10) von „1“ auf „6“, wenn Sie mehr
Leistung benötigen (Abb. J).
9.1. Laubsauger stoppen (Abb. J)
Zum Ausschalten des Geräts müssen Sie nur den Ein-/Aus-Schalter (1) loslassen.
9.2. Gebläsemodus (Abb. K)
Untersuchen Sie vor dem Start den Arbeitsbereich. Entfernen Sie alle Gegen-
stände oder Abfälle, die vom Laubsauger weggeschleudert oder gequetscht
werden oder sich darin verfangen können.
Wählen Sie die Gebläsefunktion am Wahlhebel (3) an der Seite des Geräts aus
und schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Stützen Sie den Laubsauger auf seine Räder und
bewegen Sie ihn vorwärts. Richten Sie die Düse dabei auf den zu entfernenden
Schmutz.
Alternativ können Sie die Düse unmittelbar über den Boden halten und das Ge-
rät von Seite zu Seite schwingen, während Sie sich vorwärts bewegen und die
Düse auf den zu entfernenden Schmutz richten.
Blasen Sie den Abfall zu einem Haufen zusammen und nehmen Sie ihn anschlie-
ßend mit der Saugfunktion auf.
9.3. Saugmodus (Abb. L)
Untersuchen Sie vor dem Start den Arbeitsbereich. Entfernen Sie alle Gegen-
stände oder Abfälle, die vom Laubsauger geschleudert oder gequetscht werden
oder sich darin verfangen können.
Wählen Sie die Saugfunktion am Wahlhebel (3) an der Seite des Geräts aus und
schalten Sie das Gerät ein. Stützen Sie den Laubsauger auf seine Räder und be-
wegen Sie ihn vorwärts. Richten Sie die Düse dabei auf den aufzunehmenden
Schmutz.
Alternativ können Sie den Laubsauger unmittelbar über den Boden halten und
das Gerät von Seite zu Seite schwingen, während Sie sich vorwärts bewegen
und die Düse auf den aufzunehmenden Schmutz richten. Drücken Sie die Düse
nicht in den Schmutz. Dies führt zu einer Verstopfung des Ansaugrohrs und re-
duziert die Leistung des Geräts.
Organische Stoffe, wie z. B. Laub, enthalten eine große Menge Wasser. Dadurch
können sie an der Innenseite des Saugrohrs haften. Lassen Sie organische Stoffe
einige Tage trocknen, damit sie nicht am Rohr haften.

10. Gerät reinigen
WARNUNG!
Stromführende Teile. Es besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlags.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten. Gerät nicht mit Wasser abspritzen.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur bei gezogenem Netzste-
cker.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Muttern, Bolzen und Schrauben fest angezogen
und alle Schutzvorrichtungen richtig montiert sind. Alle beschädigten und ver-
schlissenen Teile müssen ersetzt werden, damit der Laubsauger betriebssicher
bleibt.
Lassen Sie niemals Material im Laubsauger oder Fangsack. Dies kann beim Star-
ten des Laubsaugers gefährlich sein.
Reinigen Sie den Laubsauger nach der Verwendung gründlich.
Entfernen und leeren Sie den Fangsack.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Saug-/Blas-Wahlhebel leicht zu bedienen ist und
nicht von Schmutz behindert wird. Bürsten Sie losen Schmutz um das Gebläse
und im Inneren des Saug-/Gebläserohrs ab.
Verwenden Sie für die Kunststoffteile des Laubsaugers keine Reinigungsmittel
jeglicher Art.
Halten Sie die Lüftungsschlitze frei von Verunreinigungen.
Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem Tuch oder einer weichen Bürste.
11. Gerät lagern
Reinigen Sie das Gerät gründlich.
Lagern Sie das Gerät grundsätzlich gegen Einschalten gesichert außer Reichwei-
te von Kindern oder Unbefugten an einem trockenen, sauberen Ort.
12. Fehlerbehebung
Das Produkt hat unser Haus in einem einwandfreien Zustand verlassen. Sollte Sie
dennoch ein Problem feststellen, versuchen Sie es zunächst anhand der folgenden
Tabelle zu beheben. Sollten Sie keinen Erfolg haben, kontaktieren Sie unseren Kun-
dendienst.
Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen erlischt der Garantieanspruch. Versuchen Sie
nicht das Gerät selbst zu reparieren.

Verpackung
Ihr Gerät befindet sich zum Schutz vor Transportschäden in einer Verpa-
ckung. Verpackungen sind Rohmaterialien und können wiederverwertet
oder dem Recycling-Kreislauf zugeführt werden.

portsicher verpackt ist. Sofern nichts anderes vermerkt ist, tragen sie die Kosten der
Einsendung sowie das Transportrisiko. Für zusätzlich eingesendete Materialien, die
nicht zum ursprünglichen Lieferumfang des Produktes gehören, übernimmt der Ga-
rantiegeber keine Haftung.

Umfang
Im Falle eines durch diese Garantie abgedeckten Defekts an ihrem Produkt gewähr-
leistet der Garantiegeber mit dieser Garantie die Reparatur oder den Ersatz des Pro-
duktes. Die Entscheidung zwischen Reparatur oder Ersatz der Geräte obliegt dem
Garantiegeber. Insoweit kann dieser nach eigenem Ermessen entscheiden, das zur
Garantiereparatur eingesendete Gerät durch ein generalüberholtes Gerät gleicher
Qualität zu ersetzen.
Für Batterien oder Akkus wird keine Garantie übernommen, gleiches gilt für Ver-
brauchsmaterialien, d.h. Teile, die bei der Nutzung des Gerätes in regelmäßigen Ab-
ständen ersetzt werden müssen, wie z.B. Projektionslampe in Beamer.
Ein Pixelfehler (dauerhaft farbiger, heller oder dunkler Bildpunkt) ist nicht grund-
sätzlich als Mangel zu betrachten. Die genaue Anzahl zulässiger defekter Bildpunkte
entnehmen Sie bitte der Beschreibung im Handbuch für dieses Produkt.
Für eingebrannte Bilder bei Plasma- oder LCD-Geräten, die durch unsachgemäße
Verwendung des Gerätes entstanden sind, übernimmt der Garantiegeber keine Ga-
rantie. Die genaue Vorgehensweise zum Betrieb Ihres Plasma- bzw. LCD-Gerätes
entnehmen Sie bitte der Beschreibung im Handbuch für dieses Produkt.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Wiedergabefehler von Datenträgern, die in ei-
nem nicht kompatiblen Format oder mit ungeeigneter Software erstellt wurden.
Sollte sich bei der Reparatur herausstellen, dass es sich um einen Fehler handelt,
der von der Garantie nicht gedeckt ist, behält sich der Garantiegeber das Recht vor,
die anfallenden Kosten in Form einer Handling Pauschale sowie die kostenpflichti-
ge Reparatur für Material und Arbeit nach einem Kostenvoranschlag dem Kunden in
Rechnung zu stellen. Hierüber werden Sie als Kunde vorab informiert; es obliegt Ih-
nen diesem Vorgehen zuzustimmen oder abzulehnen.
Ausschluss
Für Versagen und Schäden, die durch äußere Einflüsse, versehentliche Beschädi-
gungen, unsachgemäße Verwendung, am Produkt vorgenommene Veränderungen,
Umbauten, Erweiterungen, Verwendung von Fremdteilen, Vernachlässigung, Viren
oder Softwarefehler, unsachgemäßen Transport, unsachgemäße Verpackung oder
Verlust bei Rücksendung des Produktes entstanden sind, übernimmt der Garantie-
geber keine Garantie.
Die Garantie erlischt, wenn der Fehler am Gerät durch Wartung oder Reparatur ent-
standen ist, die durch jemand anderen als durch einen vom Garantiegeber autori-
sierten Servicepartner durchgeführt wurde. Die Garantie erlischt auch, wenn Aufkle-
ber oder Seriennummern des Gerätes oder eines Bestandteils des Gerätes verändert
oder unleserlich gemacht wurden.

18.2. Besondere Garantiebedingungen für die Vorort
Reparatur bzw. den Vorort Austausch
Soweit sich ein Anspruch auf Vorort Reparatur bzw. Vorort Austausch ergibt, gel-
ten die besonderen Garantiebedingungen für die Vorort Reparatur bzw. Vorort Aus-
tausch für Ihr Produkt.
Zur Durchführung der Vorort Reparatur bzw. des Vorort Austauschs muss von Ihrer
Seite Folgendes sichergestellt werden:
• Mitarbeitern des Garantiegebers, die zu vorgenanntem Zweck bei Ihnen eintref-
fen, soll uneingeschränkter, sicherer und unverzüglicher Zugang zu den Geräten
gewährt werden.
• Telekommunikationseinrichtungen, die von diesen Mitarbeitern zur ordnungs-
gemäßen Ausführung Ihres Auftrages, für Test- und Diagnosezwecke sowie zur
Fehlerbehebung benötigt werden, müssen von Ihnen auf eigene Kosten zur Ver-
fügung gestellt werden.
• Sie sind für die Wiederherstellung der eigenen Anwendungssoftware nach der
Inanspruchnahme der Dienstleistungen durch den Garantiegeber selbst verant-
wortlich.
• Sie sind für die Konfiguration und Verbindung ggf. vorhandener, externer Geräte
nach der Inanspruchnahme der Dienstleistung durch den Garantiegeber selbst
verantwortlich.
• Der kostenfreie Storno-Zeitraum für die Vorort Reparatur bzw. den Vorort Aus-
tausch beträgt mind. 48 Stunden, danach müssen die uns durch den verspäte-
ten oder nicht erfolgten Storno entstandenen Kosten in Rechnung gestellt wer-
den.

2. Utilisation conforme
Cet aspirateur souffleur broyeur est exclusivement destiné aux
deux utilisations suivantes :
− En mode Aspiration, il sert à aspirer des feuilles sèches.
− En mode Soufflage, il sert à regrouper des feuilles sèches
en tas ou à les éliminer à des endroits difficilement acces-
sibles (p. ex. sous des véhicules).
− En mode Aspiration, il peut en outre broyer les feuilles as-
pirées, ce qui permet de réduire le volume des feuilles
jusqu'à un rapport de 10:1, d'occuper moins de place dans
le sac collecteur et de préparer simultanément les feuilles
aspirées pour un compostage éventuel.
L'appareil est destiné exclusivement à un usage privé et non à
une utilisation industrielle/commerciale.
Toute autre utilisation est considérée comme non conforme à
l'usage prévu.
Veuillez noter qu'en cas d'utilisation non conforme, la garantie
est annulée :
• Ne transformez pas l'appareil sans notre accord et n'utilisez
pas d'appareils supplémentaires autres que ceux que nous

• N'utilisez pas l'appareil dans des zones potentiellement ex-

3. Consignes de sécurité
Avant de vous servir de cet appareil pour la première fois,
vous devez lire et bien comprendre le mode d'emploi.
Respectez les consignes de sécurité afin d'éviter tout danger
pour vous-même et autrui.
Respectez par principe les prescriptions en matière de sécu-
rité, de santé et de travail nationales et internationales en vi-
gueur.

Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des enfants. Conserver
l'appareil et le cordon d'alimentation hors de portée des en-
fants.

ou ont reçu des instructions pour pouvoir utiliser l'appareil en
toute sécurité et ont compris les dangers en résultant.
Ne pas laisser les enfants jouer avec l'appareil.
Toujours débrancher l'appareil du réseau électrique lorsqu'il
est laissé sans surveillance ou avant de le nettoyer afin d'évi-
ter tout allumage accidentel.

Conserver les films d'emballage hors de portée des

Avant la première mise en service et après chaque utilisation,
vérifiez si l'appareil et le cordon d'alimentation ne sont pas
endommagés.
Si l'appareil, un accessoire ou le cordon d'alimentation pré-
sente des dommages visibles ou si le bouton de marche/arrêt
ne fonctionne pas parfaitement, n'utilisez pas l'appareil.
Si vous constatez un dommage causé lors du transport ou un
autre vice, adressez-vous immédiatement au centre de SAV
Medion.
Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé, faites-le rempla-
cer par le fabricant ou une personne aux qualifications simi-
laires afin d'éviter tout danger.
Afin d'exclure tout danger pour vous-même et autrui, n'utili-
sez pas l'appareil si vous n'êtes pas en bonne condition phy-
sique, p. ex. après la prise de médicaments ou de drogues, si
vous êtes fatigué, malade ou sous l'influence de l'alcool.
3.1. Sécurité électrique
Branchez l'appareil uniquement sur une prise de terre régle-
mentaire de 230-240 V ~ 50 Hz à courant alternatif protégée
par un disjoncteur différentiel (disjoncteur FI) avec un courant
différentiel ne dépassant pas 30 mA.

Vérifiez sur la plaque signalétique que la prise utilisée corres-
pond aux données de raccordement de l'appareil.
Ne saisissez jamais la fiche d'alimentation avec les mains
mouillées.
Si vous ne vous servez plus de l'appareil, pour le nettoyer ou
s'il est laissé sans surveillance, débranchez par principe la
fiche d'alimentation de la prise de courant en veillant à ce que
l'appareil ait bien été auparavant éteint.
Pour débrancher la fiche de la prise, ne tirez jamais sur le cor-
don, mais toujours au niveau de la fiche.
Ne soulevez pas l'appareil en le tenant par le cordon d'alimen-
tation et n'utilisez pas le cordon d'alimentation dans un autre
but que celui prévu.
Évitez de plier ou de coincer le cordon d'alimentation.
Vérifiez que le cordon d'alimentation n'est pas endommagé
et qu'il ne passe pas sous l'appareil, sur une surface chaude
ou des arêtes contondantes.
Disposez le cordon d'alimentation de manière à ce que per-
sonne ne puisse marcher ou trébucher dessus.
Vérifiez si l'appareil est éteint avant de brancher la fiche d'ali-
mentation.
3.2. Consignes de sécurité pendant le
fonctionnement
Portez toujours un équipement de protection personnel
adapté lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil afin de prévenir toute
blessure au visage, aux yeux, aux mains, aux pieds et à la tête
et tout dommage de l'ouïe. Portez des lunettes de protection
et/ou un masque facial, des bottes hautes ou des chaussures
rigides, un long pantalon, des gants de travail, un casque et
un protège-oreilles.
Faites fonctionner l'appareil uniquement dans la position re-
commandée et uniquement sur une surface stable et plane.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil lorsque des enfants ou animaux do-

Ne dirigez jamais le tube de soufflage sur des personnes ou
animaux. Ne soufflez jamais d'objets/de saletés en direction
de personnes ou d'animaux. L'utilisateur de l'appareil est res-
ponsable de tous les accidents ou de tous les risques aux-
quels il expose des personnes tierces ou leur propriété.
N'utilisez jamais l'appareil et ne branchez jamais la fiche d'ali-
mentation avec les mains mouillées. N'utilisez jamais l'appa-
reil sous la pluie ou en cas de risque d'orage.
Utilisez uniquement des rallonges autorisées pour l'usage en
plein air et marquées en conséquence.
Protégez la rallonge de la chaleur, de l'huile et des arêtes
contondantes.
Utilisez uniquement des rallonges d'alimentation de type :
− rallonge en caoutchouc souple (marquage H05 RN-F) ;
− rallonge en polychlorure de vinyle souple (marquage H05
VV-F).
Veillez à fixer la rallonge de telle manière qu'elle ne puisse pas
se débrancher accidentellement du cordon d'alimentation de
l'appareil en cours de fonctionnement.
Veillez à ce que toutes les ouvertures d'entrée d'air ainsi que
le tube de soufflage ne soient pas obstrués par de la pous-
sière, des peluches, des cheveux ou d'autres objets, ce qui
pourrait entraîner une réduction du flux d'air.
Évitez toute position anormale de votre corps lorsque vous
utilisez l'appareil, veillez toujours à être bien campé sur vos
jambes particulièrement si vous travaillez en pente et dépla-
cez toujours l'appareil en marchant, jamais en courant.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil dans des espaces clos ou mal aérés ni
à proximité de substances facilement inflammables et/ou ex-
plosives (liquides, gaz, poussières).
Les cheveux longs ou les longs bijoux pendants présentent
un risque de blessure. Enlevez donc ces bijoux et attachez vos
cheveux avant d'utiliser l'appareil.

Veillez à ce que l'appareil n'aspire pas d'objets brûlants ou in-
candescents tels que cendres, mégots de cigarettes, etc.
N'essayez jamais d'aspirer des objets fragiles en verre, plas-
tique, porcelaine, etc.
N'utilisez jamais l'appareil en mode Aspiration sans avoir fixé
correctement le sac collecteur.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil sur des surfaces recouvertes de gra-
vier ou cailloux, que ce soit en mode Aspiration ou Soufflage.
N'utilisez pas l'appareil sur une surface pavée ou en macadam
sur laquelle les matériaux éjectés pourraient causer des bles-
sures.
Débranchez immédiatement l'appareil du réseau électrique...
− en cas de blocage de l'appareil devant être élimi-
né,
− après tout contact de l'appareil avec un corps
étranger afin de vérifier si l'appareil n'a pas été en-
dommagé,
− pour vérifier immédiatement l'état de l'appareil
s'il vibre anormalement.
Ne touchez aucune pièce mobile de l'appareil avant d'avoir
débranché l'appareil du réseau électrique et que toutes les
pièces mobiles se soient immobilisées.

3.3. Risque possible pour la santé dû aux vibrations
AVERTISSEMENT !
Risque de blessure dû aux vibrations
Les vibrations transmises au corps pendant l'utilisation
de l'appareil peuvent provoquer des lésions des nerfs
et vaisseaux sanguins en particulier chez les personnes
souffrant de troubles circulatoires.
Arrêtez immédiatement de travailler avec l'appa-
reil dès que vous constatez les symptômes suivants :
fourmillements, démangeaisons, picotements, dou-
leurs, changements de la couleur de peau, engour-
dissement de certaines parties du corps.
Afin de prévenir tout risque pour votre santé, respec-
tez les consignes suivantes :
− Entretenez l'appareil comme décrit dans le mode
d'emploi.
− Évitez de travailler par températures basses.
− Tenez votre corps et en particulier vos mains bien
au chaud par temps froid.
− Faites régulièrement des pauses et secouez alors
vos mains afin de stimuler l'irrigation sanguine.
La valeur des vibrations transmises en cas d'utilisation normale
est indiquée dans les caractéristiques techniques. Cette valeur
peut éventuellement varier pour les raisons suivantes, évitez
donc :
− utilisation non conforme ;
− utilisation d'outils inappropriés ;
− matériau inapproprié ;
− entretien insuffisant.

Le niveau de pression acoustique sur le lieu de travail
peut dépasser 80 dB (A).
Dans ce cas, l'utilisateur de l'appareil doit
prévoir des mesures de protection acous-
tique (p. ex. port d'un protège-oreilles).
3.5. Consignes de sécurité pour les
opérations d'entretien et de nettoyage
AVERTISSEMENT !
Pièces conductrices de courant. Risque d'électrocu-

Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans de l'eau ou tout
autre liquide.
Débranchez impérativement la fiche d'alimentation
avant de nettoyer l'appareil.

En mode Aspiration, l'appareil peut aussi servir de
broyeur.
N'allumez jamais l'appareil lorsqu'il est la tête en bas

avant de nettoyer l'appareil.
Utilisez uniquement des pièces de rechange et ac-
cessoires livrés ou agréés par Medion.
Les symboles ou consignes figurant sur l'appareil ne doivent

3.6. Utilisation dans les zones résidentielles
Conformément au décret allemand relatif à la protection contre
les émissions sonores d'appareils et de machines de septembre
2002, il est interdit d'utiliser cet appareil dans des zones résiden-
tielles les dimanches et jours fériés ainsi qu'entre 20h00 et 7h00
les jours ouvrables.
Cette interdiction vaut également aux heures du jour suivantes :
• de 7h00 à 9h00,
• de 13h00 à 15h00,
• de 17h00 à 20h00.
Veuillez aussi tenir compte des législations nationales en vi-
gueur en matière de protection contre les émissions sonores !
3.7. Première aide
Ayez toujours une boîte de premiers secours à portée de main
près de votre lieu de travail afin de pouvoir y accéder rapide-
ment en cas d'accident.
Si vous devez appeler les secours (numéro d'appel d'urgence eu-
ropéen, pompiers : 112), vous devrez fournir les informations
suivantes :
− Le lieu du cas d'urgence/de l'accident.
− Ce qui s'est passé.
− Le nombre de personnes touchées/de blessés devant être
soignés.
− Les blessures ou symptômes de ces personnes.
− Attendez toujours que votre interlocuteur du service de se-
cours vous pose des questions !

allumé qu'entièrement monté.
7.1. Montage (illustr. A-D)
Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, vous devez assembler les éléments du tube supérieur et
inférieur.
Emboîtez les deux éléments l'un dans l'autre jusqu'à ce que l'ergot intégré s'en-
clenche (illustr. A).

Insérez le tube dans le carter moteur 1 (illustr. B).
Vissez les 2 vis a et b (illustr. A et B). Veillez à ce que le tube soit solidement fixé
dans le carter moteur (illustr. B).
Montage du support de roues : poussez le support de roues sur l'extrémité infé-
rieure du tube inférieur tout contre la nervure (butée, illustr. C).
Insérez une vis dans le trou prévu sur le support de roues. Serrez la vis à fond (il-
lustr. D).
7.2. Montage du sac collecteur (illustr. E-G)
Suspendez le sac collecteur sur le crochet prévu sur le tube (illustr. E).
Mettez le connecteur enfichable du sac collecteur (illustr. F) en place sur la tu-

ment sur la tubulure d'éjection : il doit s'enclencher distinctement (illustr. G).
Pour enlever le sac collecteur, desserrez les éléments de fixation dans l'ordre in-
verse.
Pour enlever le connecteur enfichable de la tubulure d'éjection, appuyez tout
d'abord sur les deux boutons situés des deux côtés du connecteur en plastique
(illustr. G) puis retirez le connecteur.
7.3. Montage de la sangle d'épaule (illustr. H)
L'aspirateur souffleur broyeur est équipé d'une sangle d'épaule se trouvant à son
extrémité supérieure. Cette sangle d'épaule permet d'éviter toute fatigue pré-
maturée de l'utilisateur et rend l'utilisation de l'appareil plus confortable. Ne por-
tez jamais la sangle en diagonale sur une épaule et votre torse, mais unique-
ment sur une épaule pour pouvoir éloigner rapidement l'appareil de votre corps
en cas de danger.
7.4. Raccordement d'une rallonge
Branchez le cordon d'alimentation de l'appareil sur la prise de la rallonge.
Faites passer le câble par le support de fixation (illustr. I) de la rallonge afin d'évi-
ter une traction trop élevée.
8. Utilisation de l'appareil

Portez un protège-oreilles, des lunettes de protection, des gants de pro-
tection, des chaussures de sécurité ainsi que des vêtements non amples
lorsque vous utilisez l'appareil.

Si l'appareil, le tube, un accessoire ou le cordon d'ali-
mentation présente des dommages visibles ou si le
bouton de marche/arrêt ne fonctionne pas parfaite-
ment, n'utilisez pas l'appareil.

cher dans un rayon de moins de 5 mètres autour de

Avant de sélectionner le mode Aspiration ou Souf-
flage, veillez à ce que le levier sélecteur soit facile à
actionner et ne soit pas bloqué par des déchets issus
d'une utilisation précédente.
N'essayez pas d'aspirer des déchets humides. Laissez
les feuilles, morceaux de papier, etc., humides sécher
avant de les aspirer. Vous pouvez utiliser l'aspira-
teur souffleur broyeur pour souffler les déchets dans
des cours intérieures, sur des allées, chemins d'ac-
cès, pelouses, arbustes et bordures. Vous pouvez en
outre collecter feuilles, papiers, petites branches et
copeaux de bois. Si vous utilisez l'appareil en mode
Aspiration, les déchets sont aspirés à travers le tube
d'aspiration et collectés dans le sac. À leur passage
dans la soufflante d'aspiration, les déchets sont en
partie broyés. Les déchets organiques broyés sont un
paillis idéal pour les plantes.
Avertissement ! Les objets durs tels que pierres,
boîtes en fer blanc, verre, etc., peuvent endommager
la soufflante d'aspiration.

Important ! N'utilisez pas l'appareil pour aspirer de
l'eau ou des saletés très humides. N'utilisez jamais
l'appareil sans avoir monté le sac collecteur !
Tenez compte du fait qu'une fois l'appareil arrêté, la
soufflante continue à tourner.
N'utilisez en aucun cas l'appareil en équilibre sur une
échelle ou similaire. N'utilisez jamais l'appareil en
vous tenant sur des surfaces instables.
Veillez toujours à ce que le cordon d'alimentation
reste à l'écart de la zone de travail et se trouve der-
rière l'appareil.
9. Fonctionnement
Branchez l'appareil sur une prise de terre en utilisant une rallonge (voir aussi
chap. «7.4. Raccordement d’une rallonge»).
Sélectionnez le mode Aspiration ou Soufflage à l'aide du levier (3) situé sur le
côté de l'appareil et appuyez sur le bouton de marche/arrêt (1) pour allumer
l'appareil.
Tournez le régulateur de vitesse de rotation (10) de «1» jusqu'à «6» pour aug-
menter la puissance de l'appareil (illustr. J).
9.1. Arrêt de l'appareil (illustr. J)
Pour éteindre l'appareil, il vous suffit de relâcher le bouton de marche/arrêt (1).
9.2. Mode Souffl age (illustr. K)
Avant de commencer, inspectez la zone de travail. Retirez tous les objets ou dé-
chets qui risqueraient d'être catapultés ou écrasés par l'appareil ou de se coincer
dans l'appareil.
Réglez le mode Soufflage à l'aide du levier sélecteur (3) sur le côté de l'appareil
et allumez l'appareil. Appuyez l'appareil sur ses roues et déplacez-le en avant. Di-
rigez la buse vers les déchets à souffler.
Vous pouvez aussi tenir la buse directement au-dessus du sol et faire osciller
l'appareil de gauche à droite et inversement tout en avançant et en dirigeant la
buse vers les déchets à souffler.
Regroupez les déchets en un tas puis aspirez-les en mode Aspiration.
9.3. Mode Aspiration (illustr. L)
Avant de commencer, inspectez la zone de travail. Retirez tous les objets ou dé-
chets qui risqueraient d'être projetés ou écrasés par l'appareil ou de se coincer
dans l'appareil.

Réglez le mode Aspiration à l'aide du levier sélecteur (3) sur le côté de l'appareil
et allumez l'appareil. Appuyez l'appareil sur ses roues et déplacez-le en avant. Di-
rigez la buse vers les déchets à aspirer.
Vous pouvez aussi tenir l'appareil directement au-dessus du sol et faire oscil-
ler l'appareil de gauche à droite et inversement tout en avançant et en dirigeant
la buse vers les déchets à aspirer. N'appuyez pas la buse dans les déchets. Cela
boucherait le tube d'aspiration et réduirait la puissance de l'appareil.
Les déchets organiques tels que les feuilles contiennent une grande quantité
d'eau. Ils peuvent donc adhérer à la paroi intérieure du tube d'aspiration. Lais-
sez les déchets organiques sécher quelques jours afin qu'ils ne restent pas collés
dans le tube.
10. Nettoyage de l'appareil
AVERTISSEMENT !
Pièces conductrices de courant. Risque d'électrocu-
tion.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans de l'eau ou tout
autre liquide. Ne projetez jamais d'eau sur l'appareil.
Débranchez impérativement la fiche d'alimentation
avant de nettoyer l'appareil.
Assurez-vous que tous les boulons, écrous et vis sont serrés à fond et que tous
les dispositifs de protection sont correctement montés. Toutes les pièces en-
dommagées ou usées doivent être remplacées afin de garantir la sécurité de
fonctionnement de l'appareil.
Ne laissez jamais de déchets dans l'appareil ni dans le sac collecteur. Cela peut
être dangereux au démarrage de l'appareil.
Nettoyez soigneusement l'appareil après usage.
Enlevez et videz le sac collecteur.
Assurez-vous que le levier sélecteur de mode Aspiration/Soufflage est facile à
actionner et pas entravé par des déchets. Éliminez les saletés non adhérentes à
l'aide d'une brosse autour de la soufflante et à l'intérieur du tube d'aspiration/de
soufflage.
N'utilisez aucun détergent pour nettoyer les pièces en plastique de l'appareil.
Éliminez les salissures éventuelles des fentes d'aération.
Nettoyez l'appareil avec un chiffon ou une brosse souple.
11. Stockage de l'appareil
Nettoyez soigneusement l'appareil.
Rangez l'appareil par principe dans un endroit sec et propre hors de portée des
enfants et de toute personne non autorisée à l'utiliser.

12. Dépannage rapide
Cet appareil a quitté notre société dans un état impeccable. Si vous constatez ce-
pendant un problème avec l'appareil, essayez tout d'abord de le résoudre à l'aide du
tableau suivant. Si le problème persiste, veuillez contacter notre SAV.

14. Élimination
Emballage
Votre appareil se trouve dans un emballage de protection afin d'éviter
qu'il ne soit endommagé au cours du transport. Les emballages sont des
matières premières et peuvent être recyclés ou réintégrés dans le circuit
des matières premières.

18. Conditions générales de la garantie
commerciale
18.1. Dispositions générales
La période de garantie est de 24 mois et commence à courir le jour de l‘achat du
produit. La garantie couvre les défauts de matériau et de fabrication de tout type
susceptibles de nuire à une utilisation normale du produit.
Veuillez conserver précieusement le justificatif d‘achat original. Le garant se réserve
le droit de refuser la réparation au titre de la garantie commerciale ou la confirmati-
on de la garantie commerciale si ce justificatif d‘achat n‘est pas produit.
Veuillez vous assurer que le produit retourné est suffisamment bien emballé pour
ne pas être endommagé au cours du transport. Sauf mention contraire sur vot-
re bon de garantie, vous devez prendre en charge les frais d‘envoi et supporter le
risque d‘endommagement du produit lors de son envoi. Le garant décline toute res-
ponsabilité pour les objets envoyés avec le produit qui ne faisaient pas partie du lot
initial.
Veuillez également joindre au produit retourné une description complète et détail-
lée du défaut réclamé. Pour la mise en œuvre de la garantie commerciale et avant
l‘envoi du produit, veuillez contacter le garant via la ligne d‘assistance SAV ou le por-
tail SAV. Vous recevrez alors des informations sur la suite de la procédure.
La présente garantie n‘a aucune incidence sur vos recours en garantie légaux et elle
est régie par le droit en vigueur dans le pays de première acquisition du produit par
le client final.
18.1.1. Étendue de la garantie commerciale
En cas de défaut de votre produit couvert par la présente garantie, le garant prendra
en charge la réparation ou le remplacement du produit. Le garant aura le choix ent-
re la réparation et le remplacement du produit et se réserve la possibilité de réparer
le produit envoyé pour réparation ou de le remplacer par un produit remis à neuf de
même qualité.
La garantie ne couvre pas les batteries et piles, ni les consommables, c.-à-d. les pi-
èces destinées à être remplacées à intervalles réguliers au cours de l‘utilisation du
produit, p. ex. les ampoules des vidéoprojecteurs.
La présence d‘un pixel défectueux sur un écran (point de l‘image constamment co-
loré, clair ou foncé) ne constitue pas, en soi, un défaut couvert par la garantie com-
merciale. Le nombre exact admissible de pixels défectueux est indiqué dans le
mode d‘emploi du produit concerné.
La présente garantie commerciale ne couvre pas la détérioration du produit due à
une mauvaise utilisation, notamment pour les écrans plasma ou LCD. La manière
correcte d‘utiliser votre écran plasma ou LCD est décrite dans le mode d‘emploi du
produit concerné.

La garantie ne couvre pas les erreurs de lecture de supports de données formatés
dans un format incompatible ou qui sont provoquées par l‘utilisation d‘un logiciel
inadapté.
S‘il est constaté lors de la réparation que le défaut n‘est pas couvert par la garan-
tie, le garant se réserve le droit de facturer les frais avancés au client sous la forme
d‘un forfait de prise en charge ainsi que les coûts de réparation plus le matériel et la
main-d‘œuvre après présentation d‘un devis. Vous en serez alors en tant que client
informé au préalable et il vous appartiendra d‘accepter ou de refuser cette procédu-
re.
18.1.2. Exclusions de la garantie
La garantie ne couvre pas les défaillances et dommages provoqués par des causes
externes, l‘endommagement volontaire ou par négligence du fait de l‘utilisateur,
une utilisation inappropriée, les modifications, transformations ou extensions
apportées au produit, l‘utilisation de pièces provenant d‘un constructeur tiers,
l‘absence d‘entretien nécessaire, les virus ou les erreurs de logiciels, le transport ou
l‘emballage inapproprié ou la perte du colis lors du renvoi du produit au garant.
La garantie s‘éteint si le défaut du produit est survenu suite à une tentative de répa-
ration ou d‘entretien par une personne n‘appartenant pas à l‘un des partenaires
commerciaux agréés par le garant. De même, la garantie s‘éteint si des autocollants
ou des numéros de série se trouvant sur le produit ou l‘un des accessoires ont été
modifiés ou rendus illisibles.
18.1.3. Ligne d‘assistance SAV
Avant de retourner le produit au garant, veuillez contacter ce dernier via la ligne
d‘assistance SAV ou le portail SAV. Il vous sera alors communiqué des informations
complémentaires sur la marche à suivre pour faire appel à la garantie.
Le recours à la ligne d‘assistance peut être payant.
La ligne d‘assistance SAV ne se substitue en aucun cas à la familiarisation de
l‘utilisateur avec le logiciel ou le matériel, à la lecture du mode d‘emploi ni à la res-
ponsabilité pour les produits tiers.
18.2. Conditions particulières de la garantie
commerciale pour les ordinateurs personnels,
ordinateurs portables, ordinateurs de poche
(PDA), appareils avec fonction de navigation
(PNA), téléphones, portables et appareils avec
fonction de stockage
En cas de défaut de l‘une des options fournies (p. ex. cartes mémoire), le garant
prendra en charge sa réparation ou son remplacement. La garantie couvre les frais
de matériel et le temps de travail nécessaires à la remise en état du produit concer-
né.

L‘utilisation de matériel qui n‘a pas été produit ou vendu par le garant peut entraî-
ner l‘extinction de la garantie commerciale s‘il s‘avère qu‘un dommage a été causé
au produit ou à l‘une de ses options par ce matériel.
Les logiciels livrés avec le produit sont couverts par une garantie commerciale li-
mitée spéciale. Cette garantie commerciale couvre le système d‘exploitation préin-
stallé ainsi que les programmes livrés avec le produit. Pour les logiciels livrés avec
le produit par le garant et pour les supports de données tels que CD ou DVD con-
tenant ces logiciels, l‘absence de défauts de fabrication et de matériau est garan-
tie pendant une durée de 90 jours suivant l‘achat du produit. Le garant remplacera
gratuitement les supports de données qui étaient défectueux lors de leur livraison ;
tout autre recours est exclu. Cette garantie commerciale ne couvre que les supports
physiques de données et non le fonctionnement des logiciels. Aucune garantie n‘est
en outre donnée concernant le fonctionnement ininterrompu ou parfait des logi-
ciels et leur aptitude à satisfaire à vos besoins. Le garant n‘assume aucune responsa-
bilité pour l‘exactitude à 100 % des cartes fournies avec les produits ayant une fonc-
tion de navigation.
Lors de la réparation du produit, il peut s‘avérer nécessaire de supprimer toutes les
données qui y sont stockées. Par conséquent, avant de renvoyer le produit au ga-
rant, assurez-vous que vous êtes en possession d‘une sauvegarde de vos données.
Il est expressément précisé que lors de la réparation, le produit est remis dans son
état initial à la livraison. Le garant ne pourra pas être tenu responsable desfrais
d‘une configuration logicielle, d‘une perte de gain, de la perte de données ou d‘un
logiciel ou autres dommages consécutifs.
18.3. Conditions particulières de la garantie
commerciale pour les réparations et/ou échanges
sur site
Dans la mesure où le bon de garantie de votre produit stipule le service de réparati-
on et/ou d‘échange sur site, il sera fait application des conditions particulières de la
garantie commerciale pour les réparations et/ou échanges sur site.
Pour la bonne exécution de la réparation et/ou de l‘échange sur site, veuillez tenir
compte des points suivants :
• Vous devez garantir aux collaborateurs du garant venant chez vous dans le but
susmentionné l‘accès sans restrictions, sûr et immédiat au produit défectueux.
• Vous devez, à vos frais, mettre à la disposition de ces collaborateurs les installati-
ons de télécommunication nécessaires à l‘exécution correcte de votre demande,
les tests, le diagnostic et la réparation du produit.
• Vous êtes seul responsable de restaurer vos logiciels d‘application après avoir eu
recours aux services du garant.
• Vous êtes seul responsable de la reconfiguration éventuellement nécessaire de
votre connexion Internet et des appareils périphériques existants après avoir eu
recours aux services du garant.

2. Gebruik voor het beoogde doel
De bladzuiger wordt uitsluitend gebruikt op een van beide vol-
gende manieren:
− Als bladzuiger dient het apparaat voor het opzuigen van
droge bladeren.
− Als bladblazer dient het apparaat om bladeren samen te
brengen resp. om bladeren van slecht toegankelijke plaat-
sen te verwijderen (bijvoorbeeld onder voertuigen).
− In de zuigmodus werkt het apparaat tevens als versnippe-
raar waardoor het volume van de bladeren in een verhou-
ding van 1:10 wordt verminderd en daardoor minder ruim-
te inneemt in de opvangzak. Het opgezogen materiaal
wordt tevens voorbewerkt voor een mogelijk gebruik als
compost.
Dit apparaat is uitsluitend bedoeld voor particulier gebruik en is
niet geschikt voor industriële of zakelijke toepassingen.
Elk ander gebruik wordt beschouwd als oneigenlijk.
Let erop dat de garantie bij oneigenlijk gebruik komt te verval-
len:
• breng geen wijzigingen aan het apparaat aan zonder onze
toestemming en gebruik geen accessoires die niet door ons
zijn goedgekeurd of geleverd.

• Gebruik alleen door ons geleverde of goedgekeurde (vervan-
gende) onderdelen en accessoires.
• Neem alle informatie in deze handleiding in acht, met name
de veiligheidsinstructies. Elke andere toepassing wordt als be-
schouwd als oneigenlijk en kan leiden tot letsel of schade.
• Gebruik dit apparaat niet in omgevingen waar gevaar voor
explosie bestaat. Hieronder wordt bijvoorbeeld verstaan:
tankinstallaties, opslagplaatsen voor brandstof of omgevin-
gen waarin oplosmiddelen worden verwerkt. Dit apparaat
mag ook niet worden gebruikt in omgevingen waar de lucht
belast is met fijne deeltjes (zoals meel- of houtstof).
• Stel het apparaat niet bloot aan extreme omstandigheden.

3. Veiligheidsinstructies
Lees vóór het eerste gebruik van het apparaat de be-
drijfshandleiding en zorg ervoor dat u deze goed begrijpt.
Neem de veiligheidsinstructies in acht om gevaarlijke situa-
ties voor uzelf en anderen te vermijden.
Neem altijd de geldende nationale en internationale veilig-
heids-, gezondheids- en arbeidsvoorschriften in acht.

Gevaar voor letsel door onjuiste bediening.
Dit apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt door kin-
deren. Het apparaat en het netsnoer moeten buiten bereik
van kinderen worden gehouden.
Deze apparaten kunnen worden gebruikt door personen met
beperkte lichamelijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of
personen met onvoldoende ervaring en/of kennis, mits deze

bruik van het apparaat zodat zij de daarmee samenhangende
gevaren begrijpen.
Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat spelen.
Wanneer er geen toezicht aanwezig is of voorafgaand aan de
reiniging moet altijd de stekker van het apparaat uit het stop-
contact worden getrokken om het apparaat te beveiligen te-
gen onopzettelijk inschakelen.
WAARSCHUWING!
Verstikkingsgevaar.
Houd verpakkingsfolies uit de buurt van kinderen.
Controleer het apparaat en het netsnoer vóór het eerste ge-
bruik en vervolgens opnieuw na ieder gebruik op beschadi-
gingen.
Neem het apparaat niet in gebruik wanneer het apparaat zelf,
de accessoires of het netsnoer zichtbaar zijn beschadigd of als
de aan/uit-schakelaar niet correct functioneert.
Als u transportschade of een ander defect vaststelt, neemt u
direct contact op met het Medion Service Center.
Wanneer het netsnoer is beschadigd, moet dit, om gevaar te
voorkomen, door de fabrikant of een vakkundige reparateur
worden vervangen.
Neem het apparaat niet in gebruik als uw lichamelijke toe-
stand dit niet toestaat: Na het innemen van medicijnen of ver-
dovende middelen, bij vermoeidheid, ziekte of onder invloed
van alcohol, mag het apparaat niet worden gebruikt omdat
gevaarlijke situaties voor uzelf en anderen niet kunnen wor-
den uitgesloten.
3.1. Elektrische veiligheid
Sluit het apparaat uitsluitend aan op een correct geïnstalleerd
veiligheidsstopcontact met 230-240 V~, 50 Hz, dat is beveiligd
met een aardlekschakelaar met een lekstroom van niet meer
dan 30 mA.

Controleer aan de hand van het typeplaatje of de netaanslui-
ting aan de aansluitgegevens van het apparaat voldoet.
Pak de netstekker nooit met vochtige handen beet.
Trek de stekker van het apparaat na elk gebruik, vóór iede-
re schoonmaakbeurt en telkens wanneer er geen toezicht op
wordt gehouden uit het stopcontact en let erop dat het appa-
raat eerst is uitgeschakeld.
Trek het netsnoer altijd aan de stekker uit het stopcontact,
trek niet aan het snoer.
Til het apparaat niet aan het netsnoer op en gebruik het net-
snoer niet voor enig ander doel.
Let er op dat het netsnoer niet kan worden geknikt of inge-
klemd.
Zorg ervoor dat het snoer onbeschadigd is en niet onder het
apparaat, over hete oppervlakken of langs scherpe randen
loopt.
Leg het netsnoer zo neer dat niemand erop kan trappen of er-
over kan struikelen.
Controleer voordat u de netstekker in het stopcontact steekt
of het apparaat is uitgeschakeld.
3.2. Veiligheidsinstructies bij gebruik
Draag tijdens gebruik van dit apparaat altijd een persoon-
lijke veiligheidsuitrusting om letsel aan gezicht, ogen, han-
den, voeten, hoofd en schade aan het gehoor te voorkomen.
Draag een veiligheidsbril of gezichtsbescherming hoge laar-
zen resp. stevige schoenen, een lange broek, werkhandschoe-
nen, veiligheidshelm en gehoorbescherming.
Gebruik het apparaat uitsluitend in de aanbevolen positie en
alleen op een stevig, horizontaal oppervlak.
Gebruik het apparaat niet wanneer zich kinderen of huisdie-
ren in de direct omgeving bevinden.
Richt de zuig-/blaaspijp nooit op omstanders of dieren. Blaas
de objecten/vuil nooit in de richting van omstanders resp.

dieren. De bediener is aansprakelijk bij ongevallen of gevaren
tegenover derden of eigendommen van derden.
Raak de bediening van het apparaat of de stekker nooit aan
met natte handen en gebruik het apparaat nooit in de regen
of bij kans op onweer.
Gebruik uitsluitend voor gebruik buitenshuis goedgekeurde
en overeenkomstig gecertificeerde verlengkabels.
Bescherm de verlengkabel tegen hitte, olie en scherpe ran-
den.
Gebruik uitsluitend verlengkabels van het type:
− flexibele rubberen kabel (markering: H05 RN-F);
− flexibele polyvinylchloridekabel (markering: H05 VV-F).
Let erop dat de verlengkabel zodanig is beveiligd dat de ka-
bel tijdens gebruik niet per ongeluk kan losraken van de stek-
ker aan de apparaatkabel.
Houd alle luchtinlaatopeningen en de zuig-/blaaspijp vrij van
stof, vezels, haren en overige materialen die de luchtstroom
kunnen beperken.
Voorkom tijdens gebruik een ongewone lichaamshouding en
let erop altijd het evenwicht te bewaren en op elk moment
een veilige positie op hellingen aan te houden. Loop lang-
zaam, niet rennen.
Gebruik het apparaat niet in gesloten of slecht geventileerde
ruimten resp. in de omgeving van licht ontvlambare en/of ex-
plosieve stoffen (vloeistoffen, gassen, stof).
Gebruik het apparaat niet met los hangend lang haar en losse
sieraden. Bind los hangen haar op en neem losse sieraden af.
Let erop dat de bladzuiger geen brandende of gloeiende ma-
terialen zoals as of sigarettenpeuken etc. opzuigt.
Probeer nooit om breekbare materialen van glas, kunststof,
porselein etc. op te zuigen.
Gebruik het apparaat niet om te zuigen zonder correct beves-
tigde opvangzak.

Gebruik de bladzuiger niet op oppervlakken die zijn bedekt
met kiezels of gravel, zowel in de blaas- als de zuigstand. Ge-
bruik het apparaat niet op een geplaveid of een gravel opper-
vlak waarbij weggeblazen materiaal letsel kan veroorzaken.
Koppel het apparaat na gebruik direct los van de netvoeding:
− wanneer er een verstopping is ontstaan die ver-
wijderd moet worden
− wanneer het apparaat na contact met een vreemd
voorwerp moet worden gecontroleerd op schade
− voor directe controle wanneer het apparaat plot-
seling sterk begint te trillen.
Raak geen bewegende delen van het apparaat aan totdat alle
onderdelen volledig tot stilstand zijn gekomen en de stekker
uit het stopcontact is getrokken.

3.3. Mogelijke gezondheidsrisico's vanwege
trillingen
WAARSCHUWING!
Letselgevaar door trillingen
Vooral bij personen met problemen met de bloedsom-
loop kunnen trillingen die op het lichaam inwerken,
schade veroorzaken aan zenuwen en bloedvaten.
Stop onmiddellijk met werken met het apparaat zo-
dra u de volgende symptomen vaststelt: slapende li-
chaamsdelen, jeuk, steken, pijn, verandering van de
huidskleur, dof gevoel in lichaamsdelen.
Houd u aan de volgende instructies om eventuele
schade aan de gezondheid te voorkomen:
− voer onderhoud op het apparaat uit zoals aange-
geven in de bedrijfshandleiding.
− vermijd werken bij lage temperaturen.
− houd uw lichaam en met name uw handen warm
bij koud weer.
− onderbreek regelmatig het werk en beweeg daar-
bij de handen om de doorbloeding te bevorde-
ren.
De trillingswaarde bij normaal bedrijf is te vinden in de techni-
sche gegevens. De trillingswaarde kan eventueel om de volgen-
de reden afwijken. Vermijd daarom:
− oneigenlijk gebruik;
− ongeschikt gereedschap;
− ongeschikt werkmateriaal;
− onvoldoende onderhoud.

geluidsemissie

Gevaar voor letsel door geluidsemissie
De geluidsdruk kan op de werkplek oplopen tot meer
dan 80 dB (A).
In dat geval zijn veiligheidsmaatregelen
ter bescherming van het gehoor voor de
gebruiker verplicht (bijvoorbeeld dragen
van gehoorbescherming).
3.5. Veiligheidsinstructies bij onderhouds- en
reinigingswerkzaamheden
WAARSCHUWING!
Spanningvoerende onderdelen. Hierbij bestaat ge-
vaar voor een elektrische schok.
Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of andere
vloeistoffen.
Reinig het apparaat alleen nadat de stekker uit het
stopcontact is getrokken.
WAARSCHUWING!
Letselgevaar bij de versnipperaar.
In de zuigmodus werkt het apparaat ook als versnippe-
raar.
Schakel het apparaat nooit in wanneer het onder-
steboven staat of wanneer het zich niet in de juiste
werkpositie bevindt.
Reinig het apparaat alleen nadat de stekker uit het
stopcontact is getrokken.
Gebruik alleen door Medion geleverde of goedge-
keurde (vervangende) onderdelen en accessoires.

3.6. Gebruik in woongebieden
Dit apparaat mag in woongebieden volgens de Duitse wetge-
ving op het gebied van geluidsoverlast door machines van sep-
tember 2002 op zon- en feestdagen en op werkdagen van 20:00
tot 7:00 niet worden gebruikt.
Daarnaast geldt een verbod op gebruik op de volgende tijden:
• van 7:00 tot 9:00,
• van 13:00 tot 15:00,
• van 17:00 tot 20:00.
Neem ook de landelijke geldende voorschriften op het gebied
van geluidsoverlast in acht!
3.7. Eerste hulp
Controleer of er een EHBO-doos beschikbaar is in de buurt van
uw werkplek voor het geval zich een ongeluk voordoet.
Als u hulp moet aanvragen (noodhulpnummer in heel Europa,
brandweer: 112), verstrekt u de volgende informatie:
− Waar heeft de noodsituatie/het ongeval zich voorgedaan?
− Wat is er gebeurd?
− Hoeveel gewonden/slachtoffers moeten worden verzorgd?
− Welke verwondingen of ziekteverschijnselen hebben de
slachtoffers?
− Wacht altijd op instructies van de meldkamer!
4. Inhoud van de verpakking
Controleer de inhoud van de verpakking op volledigheid en stel ons binnen 14 da-
gen na aanschaf op de hoogte van eventueel ontbrekende onderdelen.

7. Eerste ingebruikname
WAARSCHUWING!
Gevaar voor letsel.
De bladzuiger mag pas na volledige montage wor-
den gebruikt of ingeschakeld.
7.1. Montage (afb. A-D)
De delen van de bovenste en de onderste zuig-/blaaspijp moeten vóór gebruik van
het apparaat worden gemonteerd.
Schuif de beide delen vast in elkaar totdat het ingebouwde nokje vastklikt (afb.
A).
Schuif de zuig-/blaaspijp in de motorbehuizing 1 (afb. B).
Draai de 2 schroeven a en b in (afb. A en B). Let erop dat de zuig-/blaaspijp ste-
vig in de motorbehuizing zit (afb. B).
Wielhouder monteren: Schuif de wielhouder zo ver op het uiteinde van de on-
derste zuig-/blaaspijp dat de houder tegen de voorste groef (aanslag) ligt. (Afb.
C).
Draai een schroef in de boring op de wielhouder. Schroef stevig aandraaien (afb.
D).
7.2. Opvangzak bevestigen (afb. E-G)
Haak de opvangzak aan de haak op de zuig-/blaaspijp (afb. E).
Steek de verbinding van de opvangzak (afb. F) op de uitwerpopening op de be-
huizing. Druk het verbindingsstuk van de opvangzak direct op de uitvoerope-
ning totdat het vastklikt (afb. G).

Om de opvangzak af te nemen worden de bevestigingselementen in omgekeer-
de volgorde losgemaakt.
Om de opsteekverbinding van de uitvoeropening los te maken, eerst de beide
knoppen aan de zijkanten van het kunststof verbindingsstuk indrukken (afb. G)
en vervolgens het verbindingsstuk lostrekken.
7.3. Bevestiging van de schouderband (afb. H)
De bladzuiger is voorzien van een schouderband die zich aan het bovenste uit-

moeidheidsverschijnselen worden beperkt en wordt het gebruik van de bladzui-
ger comfortabeler. Draag de band nooit schuin over de schouder en borst maar
uitsluitend over één schouder zodat u het apparaat in geval van gevaar snel
kunt afnemen.
7.4. Verlengsnoer aansluiten
Steek het netsnoer van het apparaat in de koppeling van het verlengsnoer.
Voer de kabel door de houder (afb. I) voor de verlengkabel om een te hoge trek-
belasting te vermijden.
8. Het apparaat gebruiken

Controleer voor de keuze van zuigen of blazen dat
de keuzehendel goed te bedienen is en niet door af-
val van eerder gebruik wordt geblokkeerd.
Probeer niet om nat afval op te nemen. Laat natte
bladeren etc. eerst drogen voordat u de bladzuiger
gebruikt. De bladzuiger kan ook worden gebruikt
voor het wegblazen van vuil op binnenplaatsen, op-
ritten, grasvelden, struiken en borders. Daarnaast
kunt u met het apparaat bladeren, papier, kleine tak-
jes en houtsplinters opnemen. Wanneer u de blad-
zuiger in de zuigmodus gebruikt, wordt het afval
door de zuig-/blaaspijp in de opvangzak gezogen. Bij
het passeren van de zuigventilator, wordt het afval
gedeeltelijk versnipperd. Versnipperd organisch afval
kan perfect worden gebruikt als mulch voor planten.
Waarschuwing! Harde voorwerpen, zoals stenen,
blikken, glas etc., kunnen de zuigventilator beschadi-
gen.
Belangrijk! Gebruik de bladzuiger niet voor het op-
zuigen van water of zeer nat vuil. Gebruik de zuig-
ventilator nooit zonder correct gemonteerde op-
vangzak!
Houd er rekening mee dat de ventilator na het uit-
schakelen nog even doordraait.
Gebruik het apparaat in geen geval terwijl u op een
ladder staat. Werk nooit op een instabiel oppervlak.
Houd het netsnoer altijd uit het werkgebied en leid
het naar achteren, weg van het apparaat.

9. Gebruik
Sluit het apparaat via een verlengsnoer aan op een veiligheidsstopcontact (zie
ook hoofdstuk “7.4. Verlengsnoer aansluiten”).
Kies met de keuzehendel (3) aan de zijkant van het apparaat de zuig- of de
blaasfunctie en druk op de aan/uit-schakelaar (1) om het apparaat in te schake-
len.
Draai de snelheidsregelaar (10) van "1" op "6", wanneer u meer vermogen nodig
heeft (afb. J).
9.1. Bladzuiger stoppen (afb. J)
Om het apparaat uit te schakelen, hoeft u alleen maar de aan/uit-schakelaar (1)
los te laten.
9.2. Blaasstand (afb. K)
Controleer de werkomgeving voordat begint. Verwijder alle voorwerpen of afval
die door de bladzuiger weggeslingerd of samengedrukt zou kunnen worden of
kunnen worden opgezogen.
Kies met de keuzehendel (3) op de zijkant van het apparaat de blaasfunctie en
schakel het apparaat in. Steun de bladzuiger op de wielen en beweeg het appa-
raat vooruit. Richt het mondstuk daarbij op het vuil dat verwijderd moet wor-
den.
U kunt ook het mondstuk vlak boven de grond houden en het apparaat heen en
weer bewegen terwijl u zich vooruit verplaatst en het mondstuk op het te ver-
wijderen vuil gericht houdt.
Blaas het afval op een hoop samen en neem het vervolgens met de zuigfunctie
op.
9.3. Zuigstand (afb. L)
Controleer de werkomgeving voordat begint. Verwijder alle voorwerpen of afval
die door de bladzuiger weggeslingerd of samengedrukt zou kunnen worden of
kunnen worden opgezogen.
Kies met de keuzehendel (3) op de zijkant van het apparaat de zuigfunctie en
schakel het apparaat in. Steun de bladzuiger op de wielen en beweeg het appa-
raat vooruit. Richt het mondstuk daarbij op het vuil dat opgezogen moet wor-
den.
U kunt de bladzuiger ook vlak boven de grond houden en het apparaat heen
en weer bewegen terwijl u zich vooruit verplaatst en het mondstuk op het op te
nemen vuil gericht houdt. Druk het mondstuk niet in het vuil. Hierdoor kan de
zuig-/blaaspijp verstopt raken en het zuigvermogen worden beperkt.
Organische stoffen zoals bladeren, bevatten een grote hoeveelheid water. Daar-
door kan het vuil aan de binnenkant van de zuig-/blaaspijp blijven hechten. Laat
organisch materiaal een paar dagen drogen zodat het niet blijft hechten.

10. Apparaat reinigen
WAARSCHUWING!
Spanningvoerende onderdelen. Hierbij bestaat ge-
vaar voor een elektrische schok.
Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of andere
vloeistoffen. Spuit het apparaat niet af met water.
Reinig het apparaat alleen nadat de stekker uit het
stopcontact is getrokken.
Controleer of alle moeren, bouten en schroeven vast zijn aangedraaid en alle
veiligheidsvoorzieningen correct zijn gemonteerd. Alle beschadigde en versle-
ten onderdelen moeten worden vervangen om de veilige werking van de blad-
zuiger te waarborgen.
Laat nooit materiaal in de bladzuiger of de opvangzak achter. Dit kan bij het star-
ten van de bladzuiger gevaarlijk zijn.
Reinig de bladzuiger grondig na elk gebruik.
Verwijder en leeg de opvangzak.
Controleer dat de keuzehendel voor blazen/zuigen goed te bedienen is en niet
door vuil wordt geblokkeerd. Borstel los vuil rondom de ventilator en binnen in
de zuig-/blaaspijp af.
Gebruik geen reinigingsmiddelen voor het schoonmaken van de kunststof de-
len.
Houd de ventilatieopeningen vrij van vuil.
Reinig het apparaat met een doek of een zachte borstel.
11. Het apparaat opslaan
Maak het apparaat grondig schoon.
Beveilig het apparaat altijd wanneer het wordt opgeborgen, houd het buiten
bereik van kinderen of onbevoegden en berg het apparaat op een droge, scho-
ne locatie op.
12. Storingen verhelpen
Dit product heeft onze fabriek in correcte toestand verlaten. Wanneer u desondanks
een probleem vaststelt, kunt u aan de hand van de onderstaande tabel proberen
om de storing te verhelpen. Wanneer u hier niet in slaagt, adviseren wij om contact
op te nemen met onze klantenservice.
Bij onvakkundige reparaties komt het recht op garantie te vervallen. Probeer
niet zelf het apparaat te repareren.

14. Afvoer
Verpakking
Uw apparaat is verpakt om het tijdens transport te beschermen tegen
beschadiging. Verpakkingen zijn grondstoffen en kunnen worden her-
gebruikt of terug worden gebracht in de grondstoffenkringloop.
Apparaat
Afgedankte apparatuur mag niet met huishoudelijk afval worden afge-
voerd.
Volgens richtlijn 2012/19/EU moet oude apparatuur aan het einde van
de levensduur volgens voorschrift worden afgevoerd.
Hierbij worden de bruikbare grondstoffen in het apparaat voor recycling
gescheiden waarmee de belasting van het milieu wordt beperkt.
Lever het afgedankte apparaat voor recycling in bij een inzamelpunt voor elektrisch
afval of een algemeen inzamelpunt voor recycling.

18. Algemene garantievoorwaarden
18.1. Algemeen
De looptijd van de garantie bedraagt 24 maanden en gaat in op de dag van aanko-
op van het product. De garantie heeft betrekking op materiaal- en fabricagefouten
van allerlei aard die bij normaal gebruik kunnen optreden.
Bewaar daarom het originele aankoopbewijs goed. De garantieverlener behoudt
zich het recht voor, een reparatie onder garantie of bevestiging van garantie te wei-
geren wanneer het recht op garantie niet kan worden aangetoond.
Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat op de juiste manier en veilig is verpakt wanneer het
moet worden ingezonden. Indien niets anders is aangegeven, draagt de eindgeb-
ruiker de kosten en het risico voor de verzending. Voor aanvullend ingezonden ma-
teriaal dat geen deel uitmaakt van de oorspronkelijk levering van het product, aan-
vaard de garantieverlener geen aansprakelijkheid.
Stuur met het ingezonden apparaat een zo gedetailleerd mogelijke beschrijving
van de storing mee. Om aanspraak te maken op uw recht op garantie of voordat u
het apparaat instuurt, dient u contact op te nemen met de hotline van de garantie-
verlener of met de Service Portal. Hier ontvangt u informatie over de verdere stap-
pen.
Deze garantie heeft geen invloed op uw wettelijke recht op garantie en is onder-
worpen aan het geldend recht in het land waarin het apparaat in eerste instantie
door een eindgebruiker is aangeschaft.
18.1.1. Omvang
In geval van een door deze garantie gedekt defect aan uw product garandeert de
garantieverlener met deze garantie de reparatie of vervanging van het product. De
garantieverlener behoudt zich het recht voor te beslissen over reparatie of vervan-
ging. Deze kan daarom naar eigen inzicht beslissen, het ter garantie ingezonden ap-
paraat te vervangen door een gelijkwaardig, volledig gereviseerd apparaat van de-
zelfde kwaliteit.
Er wordt geen garantie gegeven op batterijen of accu‘s en op verbruiksmaterialen,
d.w.z. onderdelen die tijdens gebruik van het apparaat regelmatig moeten worden
vervangen zoals de projectielamp in een beamer.
Een pixelfout (permanent gekleurde, lichte of donkere beeldpunt) is niet zonder
meer aan te merken als gebrek. Het exacte aantal toegestane defecte pixels wordt
beschreven in de handleiding bij het product.
Voor ingebrande beelden op plasma- of lcd-schermen die zijn ontstaan door onjuist
gebruik van het apparaat, is de garantieverlener niet aansprakelijk. De exacte han-
delswijze voor correct gebruik van een plasma- of een lcd-scherm wordt beschre-
ven in de handleiding bij dit product.
De garantie geldt niet voor fouten bij de weergave vanaf gegevensdragers met een
niet-compatibel formaat of die zijn gemaakt met ongeschikte software.
Wanneer tijdens de reparatie wordt vastgesteld dat er sprake is van een fout of sto-

ring die niet door de garantie wordt gedekt, behoudt de garantieverlener zich het
recht voor, na offerte aan de eindgebruiker, de reparatiekosten (materiaal en ar-
beidsloon) in rekening te brengen, vermeerderd met een vast bedrag voor verwer-
kingskosten. Hierover wordt u als klant vooraf geïnformeerd. De keus om hiermee al
dan niet akkoord te gaan ligt bij u.
18.1.2. Uitsluitingen
Voor gebreken en schade die ontstaan door inwerking van buitenaf, onopzettelijke
beschadiging, onjuist gebruik, aan het product aangebrachte veranderingen, om-
bouw, uitbreidingen, gebruik van vreemde onderdelen, verwaarlozing, virussen of
softwarefouten, onjuist transport, ongeschikte verpakking of verlies bij retourzen-
ding van het product kan de garantieverlener niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld.
Het recht op garantie vervalt wanneer de storing aan het apparaat is ontstaan door
onderhoud of reparatie die is uitgevoerd door iemand anders dan een door de ga-
rantieverlener geautoriseerde servicepartner. De garantie vervalt ook wanneer sti-
ckers of serienummers van het apparaat of onderdelen van het apparaat worden
gewijzigd of onherkenbaar worden gemaakt.
18.1.3. Service Hotline
Vóór inzending van het apparaat aan de garantieverlener, moet u via de Service
Hotline of de Service Portal contact met ons opnemen. U ontvangt dan verdere in-
formatie over de juiste manier om aanspraak te maken op uw garantie.
Voor het gebruik van de Hotline worden mogelijk kosten in rekening gebracht.
De Service Hotline vormt geen vervanging voor de scholing van de gebruiker op
het gebied van soft- en hardware, het raadplegen van de handleiding of gebruik
van producten van derden.
18.2. Bijzondere garantiebepalingen voor pc‘s,
notebooks, pocket-pc‘s (PDA‘s), apparatuur
met navigatiefunctie (PNA), telefoontoestellen,
mobiele telefoons en apparaten met
opslagfunctie
Wanneer een van de meegeleverde opties (zoals geheugenkaarten etc.) een defect
vertoont, heeft u ook hiervoor recht op reparatie of vervanging. De garantie dekt
de materiaalkosten en het arbeidsloon voor het herstel van de correcte werking van
het betreffende product.
Bij gebruik van hardware die niet door de garantieverlener is gefabriceerd of op de
markt gebracht, kan het recht op garantie komen te vervallen wanneer de schade
aan het product zelf of een van de meegeleverde opties daardoor is ontstaan.
Voor de meegeleverde software geldt een beperkte garantie. Dit geldt voor zowel
het vooraf geïnstalleerde besturingssysteem als de meegeleverde programma‘s.
Met betrekking tot de door de garantieverlener meegeleverde software wordt voor
de gegevensdragers en cd-rom‘s waarop deze software wordt geleverd, gegarande-

erd dat deze vrij zijn van materiaal- en fabricagefouten gedurende een periode van
90 dagen na de aanschaf. Bij levering van een defecte gegevensdrager zal de garan-
tieverlener de defecte gegevensdrager kosteloos vervangen. Verdergaande aans-
praken worden op voorhand uitgesloten. Met uitzondering van de garantie op de
gegevensdragers, wordt alle software zonder garantie op gebreken geleverd. Te-
vens wordt niet gegarandeerd dat deze software ononderbroken of zonder storin-
gen functioneert of aan uw verwachtingen voldoet. Voor het meegeleverde kaart-
materiaal bij navigatieapparatuur wordt geen garantie gegeven op volledigheid.
Bij reparatie van het product kan het noodzakelijk zijn om alle gegevens van het ap-
paraat te wissen. Zorg dat u van alle gegevens op het apparaat een back-up of een
kopie maakt voordat u het apparaat inzendt. Er wordt nadrukkelijk op gewezen dat
bij reparatie de oorspronkelijke leveringstoestand wordt hersteld. De garantieverle-
ner kan niet aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor de kosten van gegevensherstel, der-
ving van inkomsten, verlies van gegevens of software, of overige gevolgschade.
18.3. Bijzondere garantievoorwaarden voor reparatie
of vervanging op locatie
Indien er een recht op reparatie of vervanging op locatie bestaat, gelden voor uw
product de bijzondere garantievoorwaarden voor reparatie of vervanging op loca-
tie.
Voor uitvoering van de reparatie of vervanging op locatie moet u zorgen voor het
onderstaande:
• Aan medewerkers van de garantieverlener die zich hiertoe bij u melden, dient
onbeperkte, veilige en onmiddellijke toegang tot de apparaten te worden verst-
rekt.
• Telecommunicatievoorzieningen die voor deze medewerkers tijdens uitvoering
van de opdracht, voor test- en diagnosedoeleinden en voor het herstellen van
storingen benodigd zijn, moeten op uw kosten beschikbaar worden gesteld.
• U bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor het herstellen van de eigen gebruikerssoft-
ware na uitvoering van de dienstverlening door de garantieverlener.
• U bent zelf verantwoordelijk voor de configuratie en verbinding van eventueel
bestaande externe apparatuur na uitvoering van de dienstverlening door de ga-
rantieverlener.
• Afspraken voor reparatie of vervanging op locatie kunnen tot maximaal 48 uur
voor de afspraak kosteloos worden gewijzigd of afgezegd. Daarna worden de
kosten voor een latere of niet uitgevoerde dienstverlening in rekening gebracht.

2. Proper use
The leaf vacuum is exclusively used for the following two pur-
poses:
− As a leaf vacuum for vacuuming up dry leaves.
− As a blower for collecting together dry leaves or for remov-
ing them from inaccessible places (e.g. under vehicles).
− In vacuum mode it also works as a shredder, whereby the
volume of leaves is reduced by a ratio of approx. 10:1. The
leaves thus take up less space in the collection bag and the
collected material is simultaneously prepared for possible
composting.
The appliance is intended for private use only and not for indus-
trial/commercial use.
Any other use is deemed improper.
Please note that we shall not be liable in cases of improper use:
• Do not modify the appliance without our consent and do not
use any auxiliary equipment that we have not approved or
supplied.

If damaged, the mains cable for the appliance must be re-
placed by the manufacturer or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid hazards.
Do not operate the appliance if your physical condition does
not permit it: It is not permitted to use the appliance after tak-
ing medication or drugs, when tired, ill or under the influence
of alcohol because the possibility of injury to yourself and
others cannot be excluded.
3.1. Electrical Safety
Connect the appliance only to a properly installed 230–240V
~ 50Hz AC safety socket that is protected by a residual cur-
rent circuit breaker (RCD) with a rated residual current not ex-
ceeding 30 mA.
Check that the power supply corresponds to the connection
data of the appliance as given on the type plate.
Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
Remove the plug from the safety socket after each use, before
cleaning and during periods when the appliance is unattend-

When disconnecting the appliance from the mains supply, al-
ways pull on the plug rather than on the cable.
Do not lift the appliance by the mains cable or misuse the

underneath the appliance or over any hot surfaces or sharp
edges.
Lay the mains cable in such a way that nobody is able to step

Ensure that the appliance is switched off before plugging it in.
3.2. Safety instructions for operation
Always wear suitable personal protective equipment when
operating the appliance to avoid injuries to the face, eyes,
hands, feet, head or hearing. Wear safety goggles or a face
shield, high boots or stable shoes, long trousers, work gloves,
a protective helmet and hearing protection.
Only operate the appliance in the recommended position and
only on a solid and even surface.
Do not operate the appliance near to children or animals.
Never direct the blower tube towards bystanders or animals.
Never blow objects/dirt in the direction of bystanders or ani-
mals. The operator is responsible for accidents or hazards oc-
curring to third parties or their property.
Never handle the appliance or the mains plug with wet hands
and never use the appliance in the rain or when there is a risk
of lightning.
Only use extension cables that have been approved and cor-
respondingly labelled for use outdoors.
Protect the extension cable against heat, oil and sharp edges.
Only use extension cables of the following type:

Ensure that the extension cable is secured in such a way that
the plug on the appliance cable cannot be unintentionally
disconnected during operation.
Keep all air inlets and the blower tube free of dust, lint, hair
and other materials that could reduce the air flow.
Maintain a normal posture during operation and always en-
sure that you keep your balance and maintain a stable stance
at all times on slopes and also remember to walk and not run.
Do not operate the appliance in enclosed or poorly ventilated
areas or near to highly flammable and/or explosive substanc-
es (liquids, gases and powders).
Do not operate the appliance with loosely worn long hair or
with loosely fitting jewellery. Tie back loosely worn long hair
and remove loosely fitting jewellery.
Ensure that the leaf vacuum does not vacuum up any burning
or smouldering materials such as ash, cigarette butts, etc.
Never try to vacuum up breakable objects made of glass, plas-
tic, porcelain. etc.
Do not use the appliance in vacuum mode unless the collec-
tion bag has been correctly fitted.
Do not use the leaf vacuum on areas covered with gravel or
grit in either blower or vacuum modes. Do not use the appli-
ance on paved surfaces or a gravel surface where flying mate-
rials could cause injuries.
Immediately disconnect the appliance from the mains power
after use...
− if there is a blockage that needs to be cleared
− after touching a foreign body and when the appli-
ance needs to be checked for damage
− if the appliance needs to be immediately checked
when it has begun to vibrate excessively.
Do not touch any moving parts on the appliance until the ap-
pliance has been disconnected from the mains power and all

3.3. Risk of health hazards caused by vibration.

Vibrations that act on the body can cause damage to
nerves and blood vessels, especially in people with cir-
culatory disorders.
Immediately stop using the appliance if you recog-
nise the following symptoms: pins and needles in
body parts, itching, twinges, pain, a change in skin
colour, numbness of body parts.
To prevent possible damage to health, note the fol-
lowing:
− Maintain the appliance as specified in the operat-
ing instructions.
− Avoid working at low temperatures.
− Keep your body and especially your hands warm
in cold weather.
− Take regular breaks and move your hands in order
to stimulate blood circulation.
The vibration value during normal operation can be found in the

3.6. Operation in residential areas
In accordance with the German Noise Prevention Ordinance
(Maschinenlärmschutzverordnung) dated September 2002, this
appliance may not be operated in residential areas on Sundays,
public holidays or on workdays between 20:00 and 07:00.
It is also prohibited to operate the appliance at the following
times:
• 07:00 to 09:00
• 13:00 to 15:00
• 17:00 to 20:00
Please also observe the noise prevention regulations in the rele-
vant German state!
3.7. Troubleshooting
Ensure that there is a first aid kit located near your place of work
in case of an accident.
If you require assistance (emergency number for the fire service
across Europe: 112), please provide the following information:
− Where is the emergency/accident?
− What happened?
− How many injured/affected parties need attention?
− Which injuries or signs of illness are affecting those con-

7. Using the appliance for the fi rst time
WARNING!
Risk of injury.
The leaf vacuum may only be used or switched on af-
ter it has been completely assembled.
7.1. Assembly instructions (Fig. A-D)
The upper and lower sections of the tube need to be assembled before using the
appliance.
Push both sections firmly together until the tab clicks into place (Fig. A).
Push the tube into the motor housing 1 (Fig. B).
Tighten the 2 screws a and b (Fig. A and B). Ensure that the tube is firmly seated
in the motor housing (Fig. B).
Fitting the wheel bracket: Push the wheel bracket onto the lower end of the low-
er tube until it hits the corresponding ridge (stop). (Fig. C).
Insert a screw into the hole on the wheel bracket. Tighten the screw (Fig. D).
7.2. Fitting the collection bag (Fig. E-G)
Hook the collection bag over the hook on the tube (Fig. E).
Insert the plug-in connector on the collection bag (Fig. F) into the outlet bracket
on the housing. Press the connector on the collection bag directly onto the out-
let bracket until it clicks into place (Fig. G).
Disconnect the fixing elements in the reverse order to remove the collection
bag.
In order to remove the plug-in connector from the outlet bracket, firstly press

both buttons on each side of the plastic connector (Fig. G) and then pull away
the connector.
7.3. Fitting the shoulder strap (Fig H)
The leaf vacuum is equipped with a shoulder strap that is located at the top of
the leaf vacuum. The shoulder strap is designed to reduce fatigue and to make
using the leaf vacuum more comfortable. Never wear the strap diagonally across
the shoulder and chest but only over one shoulder. This will enable you to re-
move the appliance from your body quickly in the event of danger.
7.4. Connecting an extension cable
Plug the mains cable of the appliance into the coupling of the extension cable.
Guide the cable through the retaining bracket (Fig. I) for the extension cable to
avoid excessive strain being placed on the plug connection.
8. Using the appliance

shoes and tight-fitting work clothes while operating the appliance.

the leaf vacuum.
Do not use the appliance if the appliance, tube, ac-
cessories or the mains cable are visibly damaged or
the On/Off switch does not function properly.

Keep people and animals at least 5 metres away
from the working area.
Before selecting either vacuum or blower mode, en-
sure that the selection lever is easy to operate and
is not obstructed by debris from the previous use of

the appliance.
Try not to vacuum up wet debris. Allow wet leaves
etc. to firstly dry before using the leaf vacuum. You
can use the leaf vacuum to blow dirt from court-
yards, paths, drives, lawns, bushes and borders. In
addition, you can also use the appliance to vacu-
um up foliage, paper, small twigs and wood chips. If
you use the leaf vacuum in vacuum mode, the waste
will be vacuumed up through the tube into the col-
lection bag. As the waste passes the suction fan, it is
partially shredded. Shredded organic waste is ideal
for use as mulch for plants.
Warning! Hard objects e.g. stones, tin cans, glass, etc.
will damage the suction fan.
Important! Do not use the leaf vacuum to vacu-
um up water or very wet dirt. Never use the vacuum
blower unless the collection bag has been correctly
fitted!
Please note that the blower will continue to operate
for a while after being switched off.
Never use the appliance while standing on a ladder
or similar. Never work on unstable ground.
Always hold the mains cable out of the working area
and guide it to the rear away from the appliance.

9. Operation
Connect the appliance to a safety socket using the extension cable (see also sec-
tion “7.4. Connecting an extension cable”).
Use the selection lever (3) on the side of the appliance to choose either vacuum
or blower mode and press the On/Off switch (1) to switch the appliance on.
Turn the speed control (10) from "1" to "6" if you require more power (Fig. J).
9.1. Stopping the leaf vacuum (Fig. J)
In order to stop the appliance, you simply need to release the On/Off switch (1).
9.2. Blower mode (Fig. K)
Inspect the working area before starting work. Remove all objects or waste that
could be thrown around or crushed by the leaf vacuum or could become entan-
gled in it.
Select blower mode using the selection lever (3) on the side of the appliance
and switch the appliance on. Support the leaf vacuum on its wheels and move it
forwards. Direct the nozzle onto the dirt that needs removing.
Alternatively, you can hold the nozzle directly above the ground and swing the
appliance from side to side while also moving forwards and directing the nozzle
at the dirt that needs removing.
Blow the waste together into a heap and then use vacuum mode to vacuum it up.
9.3. Vacuum mode (Fig. L)
Inspect the working area before starting work. Remove all objects or waste that
could be thrown around or crushed by the leaf vacuum or could become entan-
gled in it.
Select vacuum mode using the selection lever (3) on the side of the appliance
and switch the appliance on. Support the leaf vacuum on its wheels and move it
forwards. Direct the nozzle onto the dirt that needs vacuuming.
Alternatively, you can hold the leaf vacuum directly above the ground and swing
the appliance from side to side while also moving forwards and directing the
nozzle at the dirt that needs vacuuming. Do not press the nozzle into the dirt.
This will cause the suction tube to become blocked and will reduce the perfor-
mance of the appliance.
Organic materials such as leaves contain a large amount of water and can stick
to the inside of the suction tube as a result. Allow organic waste to firstly dry for
a few days so that it does not stick to the tube.
10. Cleaning the appliance

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liq-
uids. Do not spray the appliance with water.
Always disconnect the plug before cleaning the ap-
pliance.
Ensure that all nuts, bolts and screws are tightly fitted and all safety devices have
been correctly assembled. All damaged and worn parts must be replaced so that
the leaf vacuum can be operated safely.
Never leave material in the leaf vacuum or the collection bag. This could be dan-
gerous when starting the leaf vacuum.
Thoroughly clean the leaf vacuum after using it.
Remove and empty the collection bag.
Ensure that the vacuum/blower selection lever is easy to operate and is not ob-
structed by dirt. Brush loose dirt from the blower and the inside of the vacuum/
blower tube.
Do not use any cleaning agents of any sort on the plastic parts of the leaf vacu-
um.
Keep the ventilation slots free of debris.
Clean the appliance with a cloth or a soft brush.
11. Storing the appliance
Clean the appliance thoroughly.
Always store the appliance secured against switching on in a clean, dry location
and out of the reach of children or other unauthorised parties.
12. Troubleshooting
The product left our warehouse in perfect condition. If you do, however, discover a
problem, see if you can solve it by using the solutions offered in the following table.
If these do not work, contact our customer services department.
Improper repairs will invalidate the warranty. Do not attempt to repair the appli-
ance yourself.

Old appliances should not be disposed of with the household waste.

18. General Warranty Conditions
18.1. General information
The warranty period is 24 months and begins on the day the product is purchased.
The warranty covers all types of material and product damage that could occur du-
ring normal use.
Please keep your original proof of purchase in a safe place. The warranty provider
reserves the right to refuse to confirm the status of the warranty or to carry out a re-
pair under warranty if a valid proof of purchase cannot be produced.
If it is necessary to return your device for repair, please ensure that it is suitably pa-
ckaged for transportation. Unless otherwise specified, you shall bear the costs for
sending the device and the transport risk. The warranty provider does not assume
any liability for additional materials sent with the product that do not belong to the
original package contents supplied with the product.
Please enclose as much information as possible about the fault when sending the
device to the warranty provider. In order to make a valid claim under warranty and
before returning the device, please contact the Service Hotline operated by the war-
ranty provider or the Service Portal. They will provide you with information on how
to proceed further.
This warranty has no effect on your statutory warranty rights and is subject to the
laws of the country in which the first purchase of the product was made by the end
customer.
18.1.1. Scope
In the event of a fault on your product that is covered by this warranty, the warranty
provider guarantees to repair or replace the product. The decision about whether to
repair or replace the device is taken by the warranty provider. Therefore, the warran-
ty provider can at its own discretion decide to replace a device submitted for repair
under warranty with a refurbished device of the same quality.
No warranty is provided for batteries or rechargeable batteries or for consumable
materials i.e. parts which have to be replaced at regular intervals during the normal
use of the product e.g. video projector lamps.
A pixel error (permanently coloured, light or dark point in an image) is not generally
considered a fault. Please refer to the information provided in the manual for this
product for the precise number of permissible defects in the image.
The warranty provider gives no warranty for burnt-in images on plasma or LCD de-
vices that result from the improper use of the device. Please refer to the information
provided in the manual for this product for precise instructions on operating your
plasma or LCD device.
The warranty does not cover errors relating to the playback of data media that have
been created in an incompatible format or as a result of using unsuitable software.
If it is discovered during the repair that the fault concerned is not covered under
warranty, the warranty provider reserves the right to invoice the customer for the

costs already incurred in the form of a flat-rate handling charge, as well as to char-
ge the customer for the materials and labour required for the repair after submitting
a cost estimate. You will be informed in advance as the customer about these repair
charges; you are responsible for accepting or rejecting the repair process.
18.1.2. Exclusions
Malfunctions and damage to the device caused by external influences, accidental
damage, improper use, changes made to the product, modifications, upgrades, the
use of third-party parts, neglect, viruses or software faults, improper transport, im-
proper packaging or loss during the return of the product are not covered by the
warranty issued by the warranty provider.
The warranty will be invalidated if the fault to the device is caused by maintenance
or repair carried out by someone other than a service partner authorized by the
warranty provider. The warranty will also be invalidated if labels or serial numbers
on the device or a component of the device have been modified or made illegible.
18.1.3. Service Hotline
Before sending the device to the warranty provider, you must contact us via the Ser-
vice Hotline or the Service Portal. This ensures that you receive further information
on how to make a valid claim under warranty.
The use of the hotline may be subject to a charge.
The Service Hotline should under no circumstances be considered a substitute for
user training for software and hardware or reading the manual , nor does it provide
support for third-party products.
18.2. Special warranty conditions for PC, notebook,
pocket PC (PDA), devices with navigation
functions (PNA), telephone devices, mobile
telephones and devices with a memory function
Should any of the supplied options (e.g. memory cards, etc.) have a fault, you are en-
titled to a repair or replacement. The warranty covers material and labour costs for
restoring the functionality of the product concerned.
The warranty can be invalidated if any damage to the product itself or the supplied
options results from the addition of any hardware to your product that is not produ-
ced or distributed by the warranty provider.
A limited warranty is provided for supplied software. This applies to a pre-installed
operating system and also to supplied programs. For software supplied with the de-
vice by the warranty provider, a warranty is issued that any data media, e.g. discs
and CD-ROMs on which the software is supplied, shall be free from faults in terms
of their materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days following purchase. In
the event of a faulty data medium being supplied, the warranty provider shall repla-
ce the faulty data medium free of charge; any further claims are excluded. Excluding
the warranty for data media, all software is supplied without warranty. Furthermore,

it is not warranted that this software shall function without interruption or errors or
that it will meet your requirements. In the case of map material supplied for a device
with navigation functions, no warranty is provided for its completeness.
It may be necessary to delete all data from the device in order to repair it. Please en-
sure that you have a backup copy for all of the data on the device before sending
back the device. We expressly point out that the factory settings will be restored
in the event of a repair. The warranty provider assumes no liability for the cost of a
software configuration, lost revenue, loss of data or software, or other consequenti-
al damages.
18.3. Special warranty conditions for repair on site or
replacement on site
If there is an entitlement to on-site repair or replacement, the specific warranty
terms and conditions for on-site repair or replacement shall apply to your product.
The following provisions must be ensured by you for carrying out repairs or replace-
ments on site:
• Personnel from the warranty provider who arrive at your premises for the above-
mentioned purpose must have unrestricted, safe and immediate access to the
devices.
• Telecommunication facilities required by these personnel for the proper execu-
tion of your order, for testing and diagnostic purposes or for remedying faults
must be provided by you at your own expense.
• You shall be personally responsible for restoring your own application software
after completion of the service by the warranty provider.
• You shall be personally responsible for configuring and connecting any existing
external devices after completion of the service by the warranty provider.
• The free cancellation period for repairs or replacements on site is at least 48
hours, thereafter we shall invoice you for any costs resulting from a late or mis-
sing cancellation.
