Deze handleiding is ook geschikt voor

• Deze weegschaal is niet geschikt voor mensen met pacemakers of andere
medische implantaten. In geval van diabetes of andere medische/lichameli-
jke beperkingen kan de aanduiding van het lichaamsvet onnauwkeurig zijn.
Hetzelfde geldt voor mensen die erg sportief getraind zijn.
• Dit apparaat is voor zwangere vrouwen niet geschikt!
• Elke behandeling resp. dieet bij over- of ondergewicht vereist een gekwali-
ceerd advies door overeenkomstige deskundigen (arts, dieetassistent). De
waarden die worden vastgesteld met de weegschaal, kunnen daarbij onder-
steuning bieden.
• Kantelgevaar! Plaats de weegschaal nooit op een oneffen ondergrond. Ga
nooit op enkel één hoek van de weegschaal staan. Ga bij het wegen niet aan
één kant of op de rand van de weegschaal staan.
• Glijgevaar! Ga nooit met natte voeten op de weegschaal staan. Ga nooit met
sokken op de weegschaal staan.
• Gebruik het apparaat alleen waarvoor het is bedoeld, zoals beschreven in
de gebruiksaanwijzing. Wanneer het apparaat voor andere doeleinden wordt
gebruikt, vervalt de garantie.
• De weegschaal werd voor huishoudelijk gebruik gemaakt. Ze is niet bestemd
voor commercieel gebruik in ziekenhuizen of andere medische instellingen.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het niet probleemloos functioneert, wanneer
het gevallen is, in het water gevallen is of beschadigd raakte.
• De weegschaal heeft een meetbereik van tot 180kg/396 oz. Overlaad de
weegschaal niet.
• Plaats de weegschaal op een stevige effen ondergrond. Zachte, oneffen op-
pervlakken zijn voor de meting ongeschikt en leiden tot foutieve resultaten.
• Plaats de weegschaal op een plaats waar noch extreme temperaturen, noch
extreme luchtvochtigheid optreden.
• Hou de weegschaal uit de buurt van water
• Ga voorzichtig om met weegschaal. Bescherm de weegschaal tegen slagen
en schokken. Laat ze niet vallen.
• Ga voorzichtig op de weegschaal staan. Huppel of spring niet op het stand-
vlak aangezien dit het weegmechanisme kan beschadigen.
• Probeer niet om het apparaat uit elkaar te halen, anders vervalt de garantie.
Dit apparaat bevat geen onderdelen, die door de gebruiker kunnen worden
onderhouden resp. worden vervangen.
• In geval van storingen herstelt u het apparaat niet zelf aangezien daardoor
elke aanspraak op garantie vervalt. Laat herstellingen enkel door een geau-
toriseerde servicedienst uitvoeren.
Batterij veiligheidsinstructies
• Haal de batterijen niet uit elkaar!
• Reinig indien nodig batterij- en toestelcontacten voor het plaatsen!
• Haal lege batterijen meteen uit het apparaat!
• Verhoogd uitloopgevaar, vermijd contact met de huid, ogen en slijmvliezen!
Spoel bij contact met batterijzuur de getroffen plekken onmiddellijk met vol-
doende helder water en raadpleeg meteen een arts!
• Raadpleeg onmiddellijk een arts wanneer een batterij is ingeslikt!
• Plaats de batterijen op de juiste wijze en let daarbij op de polariteit!
• Houd het batterijvak goed gesloten!
• Verwijder de batterijen uit het apparaat als het gedurende langere tijd niet
wordt gebruikt!
• Houd batterijen uit de buurt van kinderen!
• Laad de batterijen niet opnieuw op! Er bestaat gevaar voor een explosie!
• Niet kortsluiten! Er bestaat gevaar voor een explosie!
• Niet in het vuur gooien! Er bestaat gevaar voor een explosie!
• Bewaar ongebruikte batterijen in de verpakking en niet in de buurt van meta-
len voorwerpen om kortsluiting te vermijden!
Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing en met name de veilig-
heidsinstructies zorgvuldig door voordat u het appa-
raat gaat gebruiken en bewaar de gebruiksaanwijzing
voor het verdere gebruik. Geef deze gebruiksaanwijz-
ing ook altijd mee als u het apparaat doorgeeft aan
derden.

Levering
Controleer eerst of het apparaat compleet en onbeschadigd is.

Garantie- en reparatievoorwaarden
Neem voor de garantie contact op met uw speciaalzaak of rechtstreeks met de servicedienst. Ver
-
meld wat defect is en voeg een kopie van de aankoopbon toe als het apparaat moet worden opges-
tuurd. De volgende garantievoorwaarden zijn van kracht:
1. Op producten van MEDISANA geldt vanaf de verkoopdatum een garantie van 3 jaar.
De verkoopdatum moet in het geval van garantie kunnen worden aangetoond met een aankoopbon
of factuur.
2. Gebreken als gevolg van materiaal- of productiefouten worden binnen de garantieperiode gratis
verholpen.
3. Door het verlenen van een garantieprestatie wordt de garantieperiode niet verlengd, noch voor
het apparaat, noch voor vervangen onderdelen.
4. Van garantie zijn uitgesloten:
a. elke schade die is ontstaan door verkeerd gebruik, bijv. door het niet-nakomen van de
gebruiksaanwijzing.
b. schade die het gevolg is van een herstelling of interventie door de koper of onbevoegde derden.
c. transportschade die is ontstaan op weg van de fabrikant naar de gebruiker of bij het opsturen
naar de servicedienst.
d. onderdelen die normale slijtage vertonen, zoals batterijen enz.
5. Een aansprakelijkheid voor directe of indirecte gevolgschade die is veroorzaakt door het appa
-
raat is ook dan uitgesloten, wanneer de schade aan het apparaat als een garantiegeval
erkend wordt.

Voorwaarden voor correcte meetresultaten
• Weeg u steeds in dezelfde omstandigheden.
• Meet u telkens op hetzelfde moment van de dag.
• Sta rustig recht.
• Voer de meting het best ‘s morgens uit, na het douchen of baden, met
droge voeten.
Met de meetresultaten is, bij consequente uitvoering, een betrouwbare
controle van de evolutie van het lichaamsgewicht mogelijk.
Batterijen plaatsen/vervangen
Alvorens u uw digitale weegschaal in werking neemt, plaatst u de vier
bijgevoegde 1,5V-batterijen (type AAA) in het apparaat. Open daarvoor
het batterijvak aan de onderkant van het apparaat en plaats de
batterijen. Let daarbij op de polariteit (afbeelding in het batterijcomparti-
ment). Plaats het deksel van het batterijcompartiment terug en druk erop
zodat u het hoort dichtklikken. Vervang de batterij,
als het batterijwissel-symbool ‘LO‘ op het display verschijnt of als
op het display niets wordt weergegeven nadat het apparaat werd be-
diend.
Weegschaal initialiseren
De weegschaal moet op een stevige en vlakke vloer worden geplaatst.
Wanneer u zich wilt wegen vlak nadat u de weegschaal hebt bewogen,
moet u de weegschaal eerst initialiseren. Druk hiervoor kort met de voet
op het midden van de bovenkant van de weegschaal. Op het display
verschijnt „0.00“. Als de weegschaal uitgeschakeld is, is ze klaar voor
de 'step-on'-functie. Werd de weegschaal vooraf niet bewogen, dan valt
deze procedure weg.
Eenvoudig wegen
1. Ga op de weegschaal staan en blijf rustig staan. Het apparaat schakelt
automatisch in.
2. Uw gewicht wordt gemeten en weergegeven.
3. Ga van de weegschaal. De weegschaal schakelt na ca. 15 sec. auto-
matisch uit.
Lichaamsanalyse
De weegschaal kan de gegevens van 8 personen: geslacht, leeftijd,
grootte opslaan.
1. Druk kort met de voet op het midden van de bovenkant van de weegschaal.
Op het display verschijnt „0.00“.
2. Druk op de toets SET 2. Op het display knippert de opslagplaats.
3. Nu kunt u door op toets 1 of toets 3 te drukken de gewenste opslag-
plaats voor uw gebruikersproel selecteren.
4. Druk op de OK-toets 2 om de instelling op te slaan. Op het display
begint het symbool voor het geslacht te knipperen.
5. Stel uw geslacht in door met de toets 1 resp. toets 3 het overeen-
komstige symbool op het display te selecteren.
6. Druk op de OK-toets 2 om de instelling op te slaan. De vooraf inge-
stelde lichaamsgrootte begint op het display te knipperen.
7. Stel nu met de toets 1 resp. toets 3 uw lichaamsgrootte in.
8. Druk op de OK-toets 2 om de instelling op te slaan. De vooraf inge-
stelde leeftijd begint op het display te knipperen.
9. Stel met de toets 1 resp. toets 3 uw leeftijd in.
10. Druk op de OK-toets 2 om de instelling op te slaan.
11. De instelprocedure is nu afgesloten. Op het display wordt „0.00“ aan-
gegeven. Ga met blote voeten op de weegschaal staan en blijf rustig
staan. Plaats uw voeten op de elektroden 4. Eerst wordt
het gewicht weergegeven. Daarna worden na elkaar de gemeten waar-
den voor hartfrequentie, lichaamsvet, watergehalte, spierpercentage,
botmassa, benodigde calorieën en BMI weergegeven.

De verpakkingen kunnen worden hergebruikt of worden gerecycled. Gooi verpa-
kkingsmateriaal dat niet meer nodig is, op correcte wijze weg. Wanneer u bij het
uitpakken transportschade ontdekt, moet u onmiddellijk contact opnemen met uw
verkoper.
Verbinden met de VitaDock+ app
Download de gratis VitaDock+ app uit de AppStore of de Google Play Store.
Activeer Bluetooth® op uw iOS- of Android-apparaat. Open de app. Raak
het Bluetooth®-symbool aan om het apparaat te kiezen. Scroll naar bened
-
en tot u de toestellijst BS 418 in de lijst ziet staan. Raak de pijl naast de
afbeelding aan om de installatie te starten. De weegschaal kan via Blue-
tooth® of door het integreren in een bestaande WLAN worden verbonden.
Gewichtseenheid veranderen
Wijzig de gewichtseenheid direct in de VitaDock+ app.
Gebruikersgegevens wissen
Druk kort met de voet op het midden van de bovenkant van de weegschaal.
Op het display verschijnt '0.00'.
Druk op de toets omlaag 3 gedurende 3
seconden tot op het display ‘dEL‘ wordt weergegeven. Bevestig het wis-
sen van de gebruikersgegevens door te drukken op de toets SET
2
. Op
het display wordt ‚-----’ weergegeven: Alle opgeslagen gegevens werden
gewist.
Foutmeldingen
O-Ld = de weegschaal is overladen.
LO = de batterij is zwak en moeten worden vervangen.
OPEN APP = Open de VitaDock+ app
No NEt = datatransfer mislukt. Probeer de weegschaal opnieuw te con-
gureren.
FAIL = Netwerkconguratie mislukt. Probeer de weegschaal opnieuw te
congureren.
Reiniging en onderhoud
Gebruik nooit agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen of harde borstels. Maak
de personenweegschaal schoon met een zachte, lichtjes bevochtigde
doek. Gebruik in geen geval bijtende reinigingsmiddelen of alcohol. Er
mag geen water in het apparaat doordringen.
Gebruik het apparaat pas weer als het helemaal droog is.
Instructie bij afvalverwerking
Dit apparaat mag niet bij het huisvuil worden weggegooid. Metalen kunnen worden hergebruikt of kun-
nen worden gerecycled. Verwijder een niet meer benodigd apparaat op een verzamelplek van uw stad
zodat het milieubewust kan worden verwerkt. Neem over de afvoer en verwerking contact op met uw
gemeente of uw verkoper. Haal de batterij uit het apparaat voor u het inlevert. Gooi gebruikte batterijen
niet bij het huishoudelijke afval, maar gooi ze bij het klein en gevaarlijk afval of breng ze naar een inza-
melpunt van batterijen in de vakhandel.

• This scale is not suitable for people with pacemakers or other medical im-
plants. The indication of body fat may be inaccurate in the event of diabetes
or other medical / physical conditions. The same applies to highly trained
sportsmen.
• This device is not suitable for pregnant women!
• Any treatment or diet for overweight or underweight requires qualied advice
from appropriate specialist staff (doctor, dietician). The values determined
with the scale can be of help.
• Risk of tilting! Never place the scales on an uneven surface. Never just stand
onto one corner of the scale. While weighing, never stand on one side or on
the edge of the scales.
• Danger of slipping! Never step onto the scale with wet feet. Never step onto
the scale while wearing socks.
• Use the device only as directed by the instruction manual. In the event of
misuse, all warrantees shall become null and void.
• The scale is manufactured for home use. It is not intended for commercial
use in hospitals or other medical facilities.
• Do not use the device if it does not work properly, if it has been dropped,
dropped into water or damaged.
• The scale has a measuring range up to 180 kg/396 lbs. Do not overload the
scale.

• In the event of malfunctions, do not proceed with any unauthorised repair of
the device. Otherwise, this will void any warranty claims. Have repairs per-
formed only by an authorised service centre.
Battery safety instructions
• Do not take the batteries apart!
• If required, clean the battery and device contacts before insertion!
• Removed spent batteries from the device immediately!
• Increased risk of leakage, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous mem-
branes! In the event of contact with battery acid, immediately rinse the af-

Warranty and repair conditions
In case of warranty please contact your specialist shop or the service centre directly. If you need to
return the device, please indicate the defect and enclose a copy of the purchase receipt. The following
warranty conditions apply:
1. All MEDISANA products are guaranteed for 3 years from the date of purchase.
The date of sale is to be proven in case of warranty by the purchase receipt or invoice.
2. Defects due to material or manufacturing defects shall be eliminated free of charge within the
warranty period.
3. A warranty service does not extend the warranty period for either the equipment
or any replacement parts.
4. The following are excluded from the guarantee:
a. any damage caused by improper handling, e.g. by non-observance of the
instruction manual.
b. Damage due to repair or intervention by the purchaser or
unauthorised third parties.
c. Transport damage that has occurred on the way from the manufacturer to the consumer
or when sending it to the service centre.
d. Spare parts that are subject to normal wear and tear, such as batteries etc.
5. Liability for direct or indirect consequential damages caused by the device
is also excluded if the damage to the device is recognised as a warranty case.

Requirements for correct measurement results
• Always weigh yourself in the same conditions.
• Measure at the same time of day.
• Stand upright and calm.
• It is best to take the measurement in the morning, after showering or
bathing, with dry feet.
With the results of the measurement, with consistent performing, a reli-
able control of the development of the body weight is possible.
Insert/change batteries
Before putting your digital scale into operation, place the four
1.5 V batteries (type AAA) included in the device. Open
the battery compartment on the underside of the device and
insert the batteries. Pay attention to the polarity (illustration in the battery
compartment). Replace the battery compartment cover and push it in
so that it clicks into place. Change the batteries
if the battery change symbol “LO” appears on the display or if
nothing is shown on the display after the unit has been operated.
Initialise scale
Make sure that the scale is on rm and level ground. If you want to weigh
yourself, but have moved the scale immediately before, you must rst
initialise the scale. Briey press the middle of the scale surface with your
foot. The display will show “0.00”. When the scale has turned off, it is
ready for the “step-on” function. If the scale has not been moved before-
hand, this step is omitted.
Simple weighing
1. Stand on the scale and stand still. The device switches on automatically.
2. Your weight will be measured and displayed.
3. Step down off the scale. The scale switches off automatically after ap-
prox. 15 seconds.
Body analysis
The scale can store the data of 8 persons: gender, age, height.
1. Briey press the middle of the scale surface with your foot. The display will
show “0.00”.
2. Press the SET button 2. The memory location ashes in the display.
3. Now you can select the desired memory location for your user prole
by pressing button 1 or button 3.
4. Press the SET button 2 to save the setting. The symbol for the gender
starts ashing in the display.
5. Set your gender by pressing button 1 or button 3 to select the cor-
responding symbol in the display.
6. Press the SET button 2 to save the setting. The preset height begins
to ash in the display.
7. Now set your height with the button 1 or key 3.
8. Press the SET button 2 to save the setting. The preset age begins to
ash in the display.
9. Use the button 1 or the button 3 to set your age.
10. Press the SET button 2 to save the setting.
11. The conguration process is now complete. The display shows
“0.00”. Stand on the scales barefoot and stand still. Place your feet on
the electrodes4. Firstly,
the weight is displayed. Thereafter, the measured values for heart rate,
body fat, water content, muscle percentage, bone weight, calorie re-
quirement and BMI are displayed one after the other.

Packaging is recyclable or can be recycled into raw materials. Please dispose
of unwanted packaging material properly. If you notice a transport damage while
unpacking, please contact your dealer immediately.
Connect with the VitaDock+ App
Download the VitaDock+ App free from the AppStore or the Google Play
Store. Activate Bluetooth® on your iOS or Android device. Start the App.
Tap the Bluetooth® icon to go to the device selection. Scroll down until BS
418 is displayed in the device list. Tap the arrow next to the illustration to
start the setup process. The scales can be connected via Bluetooth® or
linked to an existing WiFi network.
Change weight unit
Change the weight unit directly in the VitaDock+ App.
Delete user data
Briey press the middle of the scale surface with your foot. The display will show
“0.00”.
Press the down button 3 for 3 seconds until the display shows
'dEL'. Conrm deleting the user data by pressing the SET button

. The
display shows: '-----': All saved data have been deleted.
Error messages
O-Ld = The scale is overloaded.
LO = The battery is weak and needs to be replaced.
OPEN APP = Open the VitaDock+ app
No NEt = Data transfer unsuccessful. Try again to congure the scales.
FAIL = network conguration unsuccessful. Try again to congure the
scales.
Cleaning and care
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or stiff brushes. Clean the per-
sonal scale only with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never use harsh deter-
gents or alcohol. No water should enter the device.
Only use the device again when it is completely dry.
Instructions for disposal
This device must not be disposed of with domestic waste. Metals are reusable or can be recycled into
raw materials. Dispose of a device that is no longer needed at a collection point in your town/city so
that it can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Please contact your local authority or
retailer with regard to disposal procedures. Remove the battery before you dispose of the device. Do
not dispose of spent batteries in domestic waste, rather in special waste or at a battery collection point
at your retailer!
