Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich vorgesehen für das Rösten von Brotscheiben,

Toast und Brötchen für den privaten Gebrauch. Es ist nicht vorgesehen für die

Verwendung mit anderen Lebensmitteln oder anderen Materialien.

Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für die Benutzung in privaten Haushalten bestimmt.

Lieferumfang

Das Gerät wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten geliefert:

▯ Bedienungsanleitung

1) Entnehmen Sie das Gerät und die Bedienungsanleitung aus dem Karton.

2) Entfernen Sie sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial.

HINWEIS

► Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtbare Schäden.

► Bei einer unvollständigen Lieferung oder Schäden infolge mangelhafter

Verpackung oder durch Transport wenden Sie sich an die Service-Hotline

(siehe Kapitel Service).

Entsorgung der Verpackung

Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungs-

materialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichts-

punkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.

Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoﬀe und

verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungs-

materialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.

HINWEIS

► Heben Sie, wenn möglich, die Originalverpackung während der Garantie-

zeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantiefall ordnungsgemäß ver-

packen zu können.

Beachten Sie die Kennzeichnung auf den verschiedenen Verpackungsmaterialien

und trennen Sie diese gegebenenfalls gesondert. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind

gekennzeichnet mit Abkürzungen (a) und Ziﬀern (b) mit folgender Bedeutung:

1–7: Kunststoﬀe,

20–22: Papier und Pappe,

80–98: Verbundstoﬀe.

Sicherheitshinweise

STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR!

► Wenn die Netzanschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt

wird, muss sie durch den Hersteller oder seinen Kunden-

dienst oder eine ähnlich qualiﬁzierte Person ersetzt werden,

um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.

► Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in trockenen Räumen, nicht im

Freien.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere

Flüssigkeiten! Andernfalls besteht Lebensgefahr durch

elektrischen Schlag.

► Führen Sie nie Besteckteile oder andere metallische Gegen-

stände in die Röstschächte ein.

► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät niemals mit Wasser in

Berührung kommen kann. Betreiben Sie das Gerät niemals in

der Nähe von Wasser oder neben Gefäßen, die Flüssigkeit

enthalten.

► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals

nass oder feucht wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht

ein geklemmt oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.

► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose, um ein unbeabsichtigtes Einschalten zu vermeiden.

WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!

► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren sowie von

Personen mit reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder

mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/

oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder

bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unter-

wiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren

verstanden haben.

► Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

► Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht durch Kinder

durchgeführt werden, es sei denn, sie sind älter als 8 Jahre

und beaufsichtigt.

Kinder jünger als 8 Jahre sind vom Gerät und der Anschluss-

leitung fernzuhalten.

► Die Geräteteile können beim Betrieb heiß werden. Fassen

Sie daher nur die Bedienelemente an.

► Betreiben Sie das Gerät nur auf einer stabilen, rutschfesten

und ebenen Stellﬂäche.

► Benutzen Sie keine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder ein separates

Fernwirksystem, um das Gerät zu betreiben.

► Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig von der Kabelauf-

wicklung ab, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.

WARNUNG!

► Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr, wenn Sie kein Standard-

Toastbrot verwenden! Aufgrund der kleineren Größe oder

Form besteht die Gefahr, dass Sie beim Herausnehmen des

getoasteten Brotes, heiße Teile berühren.

ACHTUNG! BRANDGEFAHR!

► Röstgut kann sich entzünden! Stellen Sie das Gerät deshalb

niemals in der Nähe oder unter brennbaren Gegenständen

ab, insbesondere nicht unter Gardinen oder Hängeschränken.

► Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von brennbaren Materialien

verwendet werden.

► Decken Sie nie den Toaster ab, solange er in Betrieb ist.

Tipps zum Gebrauch

■ Verwenden Sie keine zu großen oder zu dicken Scheiben, da sich diese

leicht verklemmen. Sollten sich Brotscheiben verklemmen, ziehen Sie zuerst

den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose. Lösen Sie verklemmte Brotscheiben

mit einem stumpfen Holzstab (z. B. einem Pinselstiel). Dabei die Heizdrähte

nicht berühren.

■ Unterschiede in der Brotsorte, Feuchte und Dicke der einzelnen Scheiben

beeinﬂussen die Bräunung des Toastbrotes. Daher sollte das Toastbrot mög-

lichst in einer geschlossenen Verpackung aufbewahrt werden. Probieren Sie

immer zunächst einen niedrigeren Bräunungsgrad aus.

■ Verwenden Sie eine niedrigere Bräunungsstufe, wenn Sie trockenes Brot

bräunen, da trockenes Brot schneller bräunt als frisches Brot.

■ Wählen Sie für dunkles Brot einen höheren Bräunungsgrad als für helle

Brote, beispielsweise Weißbrot.

■ Die Ziﬀern des Bräunungsreglers  sind keine Zeitangaben. Sie dienen

lediglich als Anhaltspunkt für den Bräunungsgrad.

■ Um eine Überhitzung des Toasters zu vermeiden und eine gleichmäßige

Bräunung des Brotes zu erhalten, warten Sie zwischen zwei Toastvorgängen

ca. 15 Sekunden.

■ Die höchste Stufe am Bräunungsregler  sollten Sie nur für große Schei-

ben dunklen Brotes verwenden. Helles Brot wird mit dieser Bräunungsstufe

anbrennen und ungenießbar. Außerdem kann es zu Rauchentwicklung kom-

men. Drücken Sie in diesem Fall sofort die Taste „Stop“

 und ziehen Sie

den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.

Aufstellen

ACHTUNG! BRANDGEFAHR!

► Stellen Sie das Gerät niemals in der Nähe oder unter brennbare Gegenstän-

de, insbesondere nicht unter Gardinen oder Hängeschränke. Es besteht

Brandgefahr!

■ Wickeln Sie das Kabel vollständig von der Kabelaufwicklung  und führen

Sie es durch die Kabelklammer .

■ Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen ebenen und hitzefesten Untergrund.

■ Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteckdose.

HINWEIS

► Wenn Sie den Toaster außer Betrieb nehmen, ziehen Sie immer den Netz-

stecker aus der Netzsteckdose. Nur so ist das Gerät stromfrei.

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme

■ Betreiben Sie den Toaster dreimal ohne Toast bei maximaler Bräunungsgrad-

Einstellung „6“.

■ Reinigen Sie den Toaster danach wie im Kapitel „Reinigen“ beschrieben.

HINWEIS

► Die Bedientaste  rastet nur bei angeschlossenem Netzkabel ein.

► Beim ersten Gebrauch kann ein leichter Geruch entstehen (auch geringe

Rauchentwicklung ist möglich). Dieser ist normal und verliert sich nach

kurzer Zeit. Sorgen Sie bitte für ausreichende Entlüftung. Öﬀnen Sie zum

Beispiel ein Fenster.

Bedienen

Bräunungsgrad einstellen

Der gewünschte Bräunungsgrad von „hell“ (1) bis „dunkel“ (6) kann mit dem

Bräunungsregler  stufenlos eingestellt werden.

Toasten

ACHTUNG! BRANDGEFAHR!

► Decken Sie bei Betrieb des Toasters die Röstschächte  nicht ab. Es be-

steht die Gefahr eines Brandes! Das Gerät kann irreparabel beschädigt

werden!

HINWEIS

► Wenn Sie den Toaster mit nur einem Toast beladen, drehen Sie den Bräu-

nungsregler  um ca. 1 Stufe zurück, um die gleiche Bräunung wie bei

einer Beladung mit zwei Toasts zu erreichen.

1) Nach dem Einstellen des gewünschten Bräunungsgrades legen Sie das Brot

in den Röstschacht  ein.

2) Drücken Sie die Bedientaste  nach unten. Die automatische Brotzentrie-

rung zentriert das eingelegte Brot im Röstschacht . Während des Röstvor-

ganges leuchtet die in der Taste „Stop“

 integrierte Kontrollleuchte.

3) Ist der gewünschte Bräunungsgrad erreicht, schaltet sich der Toaster automa-

tisch ab und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben. Die Kontrollleuchte

erlischt.

Toastvorgang unterbrechen

Wenn Sie den Toastvorgang unterbrechen wollen, drücken Sie die Taste „Stop“

. Der Toaster schaltet sich aus und die Brotscheiben kommen nach oben.

Aufwärm-Funktion

Die Aufwärm-Funktion ermöglicht Ihnen, das Brot zu erwärmen ohne es zu

bräunen. Zum Beispiel, wenn geröstetes Brot wieder erkaltet ist. Das Brot wird nur

kurz erwärmt.

1) Legen Sie das Brot ein und drücken die Bedientaste  nach unten.

2) Betätigen Sie die Taste „Aufwärmen“

. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte

leuchtet.

3) Wenn das Brot wieder aufgewärmt ist, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch

ab und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben.

HINWEIS

► Um die Aufwärm-Funktion wieder auszuschalten, drücken Sie die Taste

„Aufwärmen“

 noch einmal. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte erlischt,

der Aufwärm-Vorgang wird als normaler Toastvorgang fortgesetzt.

Auftau-Funktion

Durch Betätigung der Taste „Auftauen“  kann auch eingefrorenes Toastbrot

aufgetaut und getoastet werden. Der Toaster erwärmt das Brot hierbei langsam.

Durch das Aktivieren der Auftaufunktion wird hierbei beim tiefgefrorenen Toast die

gleiche Bräunung erreicht, wie beim normalen Toasten eines frischen Toastbrotes.

1) Nach dem Einstellen des gewünschten Bräunungsgrades legen Sie das Brot

in den Röstschacht  ein.

2) Drücken Sie die Bedientaste  nach unten.

3) Betätigen Sie die Taste „Auftauen“

. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte leuchtet.

4) Wenn der Auftau- und Röstvorgang beendet ist, schaltet sich der Toaster

automatisch ab, die in der Taste „Auftauen“

 integrierte Kontrollleuchte

erlischt und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben.

HINWEIS

► Um die Auftau-Funktion wieder auszuschalten, drücken Sie die Taste „Auf-

tauen“

 noch einmal. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte erlischt, der Auf-

tau-Vorgang wird als normaler Toastvorgang fortgesetzt.

Brötchen knusprig aufwärmen

Legen Sie Brötchen niemals direkt auf den Toaster, sondern verwenden Sie immer

den Brötchenaufsatz .

1) Klappen Sie die beiden Standfüße des Brötchenaufsatzes  aus.

2) Stellen Sie den Brötchenaufsatz  so auf das Gerät, dass die Standfüße

in die Röstschächte  ragen und der Steg zwischen den Röstschächten 

in die Auswölbungen der Standfüße ragt. So steht der Brötchenaufsatz 

sicher auf dem Gerät.

3) Legen Sie die Brötchen darauf und starten Sie den Toastvorgang. Stellen

Sie den Bräunungsregler  dafür maximal auf Stufe 2

. Die Bräunung

kann jedoch, je nach Beschaﬀenheit und Art des Brötchens, unterschiedlich

ausfallen.

HINWEIS

► Die Brötchen sind nach dem Röstvorgang sehr heiß.

4) Sobald sich der Toaster ausschaltet, das Brötchen zur Bräunung der anderen

Seite umdrehen und den Toaster wieder einschalten.

5) Wenn Sie den Brötchenaufsatz  nicht mehr benötigen, können Sie diesen

platzsparend aufbewahren:

– Warten Sie, bis der Brötchenaufsatz  sich abgekühlt ab.

– Nehmen Sie ihn vom Gerät.

– Drücken Sie die Standfüße des Brötcheaufsatzes  etwas zusammen,

so dass diese sich einklappen lassen und ﬂach anliegen.

Krümelschublade

Beim Toasten sammeln sich die abfallenden Krümel in der Krümelschublade .

1) Zum Entfernen der Krümel ziehen Sie die Krümelschublade  heraus.

2) Entfernen Sie die Krümel.

3) Schieben Sie die Krümelschublade  wieder in den Toaster, so dass sie

fühlbar einrastet.

Reinigen

STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR!

► Ziehen Sie erst den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, bevor Sie das Gerät

reinigen.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten!

Andernfalls besteht Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag.

WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!

► Lassen Sie den Toaster vor der Reinigung abkühlen. Verbrennungsgefahr!

ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!

► Verwenden Sie keine scharfen oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel. Diese

greifen die Oberﬂäche des Gerätes an.

■ Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem trockenen Tuch oder mit einem leicht

angefeuchteten Lappen.

■ Wischen Sie den Brötchenaufsatz  mit einem feuchten Tuch ab.

■ Entleeren Sie in regelmäßigen Abständen die Krümelschublade , um

Brandgefahr zu vermeiden.

Aufbewahren

■ Reinigen Sie den Toaster wie im Kapitel „Reinigen“ beschrieben.

■ Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel um die Kabelaufwicklung  an der Unterseite

des Toasters:

■ Bewahren Sie den Toaster an einem trockenen Ort auf.

Entsorgung

Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll.

Dieses Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU

(Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über

Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden

Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in

Verbindung.

Möglichkeiten zur Entsorgung des ausgedienten Gerätes erfahren Sie bei Ihrer

Gemeinde- oder Stadtverwaltung.

Das Produkt ist recycelbar, unterliegt einer erweiterten Herstellerverantwortung

und wird getrennt gesammelt.

Garantie der Kompernaß Handels GmbH

Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im Falle von

Mängeln dieses Produkts stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Produkts gesetz-

liche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch unsere im Folgenden

dargestellte Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.

Garantiebedingungen

Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon

gut auf. Dieser wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.

Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Produkts ein Material-

oder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Produkt von uns – nach unserer Wahl – für

Sie kostenlos repariert, ersetzt oder der Kaufpreis erstattet. Diese Garantieleis-

tung setzt voraus, dass innerhalb der Dreijahresfrist das defekte Gerät und der

Kaufbeleg (Kassenbon) vorgelegt und schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin

der Mangel besteht und wann er aufgetreten ist.

Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie das reparierte

oder ein neues Produkt zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Produkts

beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.

Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche

Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch

Disposal of the packaging

The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging

materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness

and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.

The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and

reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is

no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

NOTICE

► If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty

period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance

ideally for its return.

Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material

components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with

Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

► If the mains cable of this appliance is damaged, it must

be replaced by the manufacturer, their customer service

department or a similarly qualiﬁed person in order to

avoid potential risks.

► Use the appliance only in dry indoor areas, not outdoors.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other

liquids! If you do, then you could receive a potentially

fatal electric shock.

► NEVER insert cutlery items or other metallic objects into the

toaster slots.

► Ensure that the appliance can never come into contact with

water. NEVER use the appliance adjacent to water or close

to vessels containing liquids.

► Ensure that the power cable never gets wet or moist when

the appliance is in use. Lay the cable such that it cannot be

clamped or otherwise damaged.

► After use, always remove the plug from the mains power

socket, this prevents the unintentional switching on of the

appliance.

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

► Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed

by children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and

are supervised.

Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away

from the appliance and the power cable.

► The appliance can become hot when it is in use. Therefore,

only touch the operating elements.

► Use the appliance only on a stable, non-slippery and level

surface.

► Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote

control system to operate the appliance.

► Unwind the power cable completely from the cable winder

before using the appliance.

► Risk of burning if you do not use standard toast bread!

Because of the smaller size or shape, there is a risk of

touching hot parts when removing the toasted bread.

► Bakery products can burn! You should therefore NEVER

locate the appliance close to or underneath inﬂammable

objects, especially not under curtains or suspended

cupboards.

► This appliance may not be used in close vicinity to ﬂammable

material.

► NEVER cover the toaster when it is in use.

Tips for use

■ Avoid using slices that are too big or too thick, as these can easily become

jammed in the appliance. Should slices of bread become jammed, ﬁrst

disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. Release jammed slices of

bread with a blunt wooden object (e.g. a wooden spatula or spoon).

Thereby, do NOT touch the heater elements.

■ Diﬀerences in bread sorts, moisture content and the thickness of individual

slices inﬂuence the browning of the toast. Therefore the bread for toasting

should be kept in sealed packaging until required. Always initially try out

a lower level of browning.

■ Use a lower level of browning if you are toasting dry bread, as dry bread

browns faster than fresh bread.

■ Select a higher level of browning for dark bread than for light bread, for

example, wheat bread.

■ The numbers on the toasting dial  are not time indications. They serve

only as a guide for the browning.

■ To avoid an overheating of the toaster and to obtain an even browning

of bread, wait for about 15 seconds between two toasting processes.

■ You should only use the highest level on the toasting dial  for large slices

of dark bread. With this browning level light bread will scorch and become

inedible. In addition, it may cause the generation of smoke. If this occurs,

press the button “Stop”

 immediately and disconnect the power cable

from the mains power socket.

Setting up

CAUTION! RISK OF FIRE

► You should therefore NEVER locate the appliance close to or underneath

inﬂammable objects, especially not under curtains or suspended cupboards.

■ Unwind the cable completely from around the cable winder  and lead it

through the cable clamp .

■ Place the appliance on a level and heat-resistant surface.

■ Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

NOTICE

► When the toaster is not in use, always remove the plug from the mains power

socket. This is the only way to ensure that the appliance is current-free.

Before taking into use

■ Operate the toaster without bread for 3 times at the maximum browning

level “6“.

■ Afterwards, clean the toaster as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

NOTICE

► The operating button  only engages when the cable is connected to a

mains power socket.

► With the ﬁrst usage a slight smell can arise (minimal smoke development is

also possible). This is normal and dissipates after a short time. Provide for

suﬃcient ventilation. For example, open a window.

Operation

Adjusting the browning level

The desired level of browning, from “light” (1) to “dark” (6), can be adjusted

inﬁnitely with the toasting dial .

Toasting

CAUTION! RISK OF FIRE!

► Do not cover the toasting slots  when the appliance is in operation.

There will be a risk of ﬁre! The appliance could be irreparably damaged!

NOTICE

► If you only want to put one piece of toast into the toaster, turn the toasting

dial  down by approx. 1 level to achieve the same level of browning as

with two pieces of toast.

1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster

slots .

2) Press the operating button  downwards. The automatic bread centring

device centres the inserted bread in the toaster slots . During the toasting

process the control lamp integrated in the “Stop” button

 glows.

3) When the desired level of browning has been reached the toaster switches

itself oﬀ automatically, the slices are ejected to the top and the control lamp

goes out.

Interrupting the toasting process

If you wish to interrupt the toasting procedure, press the button “Stop” .

The toaster switches itself oﬀ and the bread slices are ejected upwards.

Warming function

The warming function enables you to warm bread without browning it. As

an example, for toast that has gone cold. The bread is only brieﬂy warmed.

1) Insert the bread and press the operating button  downwards.

2) Press the “Warm up” button

. The integrated control lamp lights up.

3) When the bread has been reheated, the appliance switches itself oﬀ

automatically and the slices are ejected upwards.

NOTE

► Press the button "Warm up" button

 again to switch oﬀ the warming

function. The integrated control lamp goes out and the warming process

switches to a normal toasting process.

Defrost function

By pressing the button “Defrosting”

, also frozen bread can be thawed and

toasted. With this, the toaster slowly warms the bread. Activating the defrost

function will allow the frozen bread to achieve the same browning level as when

you toast fresh bread.

1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster

slots .

2) Press the operating button  downwards.

3) Press the button “Defrosting”

. The integrated control lamp glows.

4) When the defrosting and toasting process is ﬁnished, the toaster switches itself

oﬀ automatically, the control lamp integrated in the button “Defrosting”



goes out and the bread slices are ejected to the top.

NOTE

► Press the "Defrost" button

 again to switch oﬀ the defrost function.

The integrated control lamp goes out and the defrost process switches to

a normal toasting process.

Crisping bread rolls

Never lay bread rolls directly onto the toaster, always use the bread roll rack .

1) Fold out the two feet of the bread roll rack .

2) Place the bread roll rack  onto the appliance so that the feet protrude into

the toasting slots  and the bar between the toasting slots  ﬁts into the

arched sections on the feet. In this position, the bread roll rack  sits on the

appliance stably.

3) Place the bread rolls onto the rack and start the toasting procedure. Turn the

toasting dial  up to level 2

, at most. The actual level of browning can

vary depending on the composition and type of bread roll.

NOTE

► After toasting, the rolls will be very hot.

4) As soon as the toaster switches itself oﬀ, turn the rolls over to crisp the other

side and then switch the toaster back on.

5) When you are ﬁnished with the bread roll rack , you can fold it for

space-saving storage:

– Wait until the bread roll rack  has cooled down.

– Remove it from the appliance.

– Gently push the feet of the bread roll rack  inwards so they fold in and

lie ﬂat.

Crumb tray

When toasting, crumbs that fall from the bread are collected in the crumb tray .

1) To empty crumbs from the crumb tray , simply pull it out.

2) Tip out the crumbs.

3) Slide the crumb tray  back into the toaster so that it palpably engages.

Cleaning

► Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before cleaning the

appliance.

NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! If you do, then

► Allow the toaster to cool before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!

CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These can damage

the upper surfaces of the appliance.

■ Clean the appliance housing only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.

■ Wipe the bread roll rack  oﬀ with a damp cloth.

■ To avoid the risk of ﬁre, empty the crumb tray  at regular intervals.

Storage

■ Clean the toaster as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

■ Wrap the power cable around the cable winder  on the underside of the

toaster:

■ Store the toaster in a dry location.

of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how

to dispose of the worn-out appliance.

Dear Customer,

This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this

product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your

statutory rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.

Warranty conditions

The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a

safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.

If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of

purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or

refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that

you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within

the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault

and of when it occurred.

If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or

replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the

beginning of a new warranty period.

Warranty period and statutory claims for defects

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs eﬀected under the warranty.

This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and

defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after

unpacking. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be

subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty

This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality

guidelines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.

The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not

extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which

could be considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts

made of glass.

The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used

or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the

product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and

actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned

against must be avoided.

This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.

The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use

of force and modiﬁcations / repairs which have not been carried out by one of

our authorised Service centres.

Recyclage de l’emballage

► Si le cordon d’alimentation de l’appareil est endommagé,

il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son service après-vente

ou une personne de qualiﬁcation similaire aﬁn d’éviter tous

► Les aliments qu'il est prévu de griller peuvent s'enﬂammer !

Ne posez jamais l'appareil à proximité ou sous des objets

inﬂammables, tout particulièrement pas sous des rideaux ou

des armoires suspendues.

► Il est absolument interdit d'utiliser l'appareil à proximité de

matériaux inﬂammables.

► Ne recouvrez jamais le grille-pain aussi longtemps qu'il est

en opération.

Conseils d’usage

■ N’utilisez pas de tranches trop grandes ou trop épaisses, dans la mesure où

elles peuvent facilement se coincer. Si des tranches venaient à se coincer,

retirez tout d’abord la ﬁche secteur de la prise secteur. Retirez les tranches

de pain coincées à l’aide d’une tige de bois non pointue (par ex. le bâton

d’un pinceau). Ce faisant, ne touchez pas les ﬁlaments chauﬀants.

■ Les diﬀérences au niveau des variétés de pain, de l’humidité et de l’épaisseur

des diﬀérentes tranches inﬂuent sur le degré de dorage du pain grillé. Voilà

pourquoi les tranches de pain à griller devraient dans la mesure du possible

être conservées dans un conteneur fermé. Essayez dans un premier temps

toujours un degré de dorage plus faible.

■ Utilisez un degré de dorage plus faible, lorsque vous grillez du pain sec,

dans la mesure où le pain sec se dore plus rapidement que le pain frais.

■ Sélectionnez un degré de dorage plus élevé pour le pain foncé que pour les

pains clairs, par ex. le pain blanc.

■ Les chiﬀres du régulateur de brunissage  ne sont pas des indications

de temps. Ils servent uniquement de point de référence pour le degré de

dorage.

■ Pour éviter toute surchauﬀe du grille-pain et parvenir au dorage régulier du

pain, il faut attendre env. 15 secondes entre deux processus de dorage.

■ Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser le degré le plus élevé au niveau du

régulateur de brunissage  uniquement pour les grandes tranches de

pain foncé. Le pain clair risque de brûler avec ce degré de dorage et sera

impropre à la consommation. De la fumée peut par ailleurs se dégager.

Dans ce cas, appuyez immédiatement sur la touche «Stop»

 u et retirez

la ﬁche secteur de la prise secteur.

Installation

ATTENTION ! RISQUE D’INCENDIE !

► Ne posez jamais l’appareil à proximité ou sous des objets inﬂammables,

tout particulièrement pas sous des rideaux ou des armoires suspendues.

■ Déroulez complètement le cordon d’alimentation de l’enroulement de cordon 

et passez-le dans le clip cordon .

■ Placez l’appareil sur une surface plate et résistante à la chaleur.

■ Branchez la ﬁche secteur sur une prise de courant.

REMARQUE

► Lorsque vous mettez le grille-pain hors service, retirez toujours la ﬁche

secteur de la prise de courant. Ce n’est qu’ainsi que l’appareil n’est plus

alimenté en électricité.

Avant la première mise en service

■ Opérez le grille-pain 3 fois sans pain à degré de dorage/réglage maximal «6».

■ Nettoyez ensuite le grille-pain conformément à la description dans le chapitre

«Nettoyage».

REMARQUE

► La touche de commande ne s'enclenche qu'à partir du moment où le

cordon d'alimentation est raccordé.

► Lors de la première utilisation, une légère odeur peut se dégager (voire même

un peu de fumée). Ce phénomène est normal et s'estompe rapidement.

Veuillez à assurer une aération suﬃsante. Ouvrez par exemple une fenêtre.

Opération

Régler le degré de dorage

Le degré de dorage de «clair» (1) à «foncé» (6) recherché peut être réglé en

continu à l’aide du régulateur de brunissage .

Faire griller du pain

ATTENTION ! RISQUE D'INCENDIE!

► Lors de l'utilisation du grille-pain, ne pas recouvrir la fente du grille-pain .

Il y a un risque d'incendie! L'appareil risque alors d'être endommagé de

manière irréparable!

REMARQUE

► Lorsque vous placez une seule tranche de pain dans le grille-pain, tournez

le régulateur de brunissage  env. 1 niveau vers l’arrière pour obtenir le

même brunissage que pour 2 tranches de pain.

1) Après avoir procédé au réglage du degré de dorage souhaité, insérez le

pain dans la fente du grille-pain .

2) Pressez la touche d’opération  vers le bas. Le centrage automatique du pain

centre le pain inséré dans le fente du grille-pain . Au cours du processus de

dorage, le témoin de contrôle intégré dans la touche «Stop»

 s’allume.

3) Si le degré de dorage souhaité est atteint, le grille-pain s’éteint automatique-

ment et les tranches de pain remontent, le témoin de contrôle s’éteint.

Interrompre le processus de dorage

Si vous souhaitez interrompre le processus de dorage, appuyez sur la touche

«Stop»

. Le grille-pain s’éteint et les tranches de pain remontent à la

surface.

Fonction de réchauﬀement

La fonction de réchauﬀement vous permet de réchauﬀer le pain sans le dorer.

Par exemple lorsque du pain grillé est à nouveau refroidi. Le pain est uniquement

réchauﬀé sur une courte période.

1) Mettez le régulateur de commande  en position.

2) Appuyez sur la touche «Chauﬀer»

. Le témoin lumineux intégré s’allume.

3) Dès que le pain est à nouveau réchauﬀé, l’appareil s’éteint automatiquement

et les tranches de pain remontent à la surface.

REMARQUE

► Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche «Chauﬀer»



 pour désactiver la

fonction «Réchauﬀer». Le voyant de contrôle intégré s'éteint et l'appareil

passe du processus de réchauﬀement à un processus de grillade normal.

Fonction de décongélation

En actionnant la touche «Décongélation» , vous pouvez décongeler et griller

du pain. Avec cette fonction, le grille-pain réchauﬀe lentement le pain. L’activation

de la fonction de décongélation permet d’obtenir le même brunissage d’une

tranche de pain congelée que lorsque vous grillez une tranche de pain frais.

1) Après avoir procédé au réglage du degré de dorage souhaité, insérez le

pain dans la fente du grille-pain .

2) Pressez la touche de commande  vers le bas.

3) Appuyez sur la touche «Décongélation»

. L’indicateur de témoin

intégrée s’allume.

4) Dès que le processus de décongélation et de dorage est terminé, le grille-

pain s’éteint automatiquement, la lampe témoin intégrée dans la touche

«Décongélation»

 s’éteint et les tranches de pain remontent à la surface.

REMARQUE

►

Appuyez à nouveau sur la touche «Décongélation»

 pour désactiver la

fonction «Décongélation». Le voyant de contrôle intégré s'éteint et l'appareil

passe du processus de décongélation à un processus de grillade normal.

Réchauﬀer les petits pains pour qu’ils soient croustillants

Ne placez jamais directement les petits pains sur le grille-pain, mais utilisez

toujours le support à petits pains .

1) Dépliez les deux pieds du support à petits pains .

2) Placez le support à petits pains  sur l’appareil de manière à ce que les

pieds s’enclenchent dans la fente du grille-pain  et que la barrette située

entre les fentes du grille-pain  s’enclenche dans les cavités des pieds.

Le support à petits pains  est alors placé correctement sur l’appareil.

3) Posez-y les petits pains et commencez à les faire griller. Pour cela, mettez le

régulateur de brunissage  au niveau 2 au maximum

. Le résultat peut

cependant varier selon la nature et le type de pain.

REMARQUE

► Une fois qu'ils sont grillés, les petits pains sont très chauds.

4) Dès que le grille-pain s’éteint, tournez le petit pain sur l’autre côté pour le

dorer et remettez le grille-pain en marche.

5) Lorsque vous n’avez plus besoin du support à petits pains , vous pouvez le

ranger de façon peu encombrante :

– Attendez que le support à petits pains  ait refroidi.

– Retirez-le de l’appareil.

– Serrez légèrement les pieds du support à petit pains  aﬁn de pouvoir

les replier et les mettre à plat.

Tiroir ramasse-miettes

Lors du processus de dorage, les miettes tombent dans le tiroir ramasse-miettes .

1) Pour éliminer les miettes, sortez le tiroir ramasse-miettes .

2) Retirez les miettes.

3) Faites à nouveau glisser le tiroir ramasse-miettes  dans le grille-pain, aﬁn

qu’il s’enclenche de manière sensible.

Nettoyage
