Switching On Your Unit for the First Time 1. After connecting the unit to the power source, Switch the button to switch on the unit. The LCD display will show Welcome to Digital Radio, and then the unit will enter STANDBY mode. Press the /MODE button again, and the unit will automatically enter DAB mode. The LCD display will show Autotune Full scan, and then the unit will start scanning. 2. Adjusting Volume Turn the Press +/- to increase/decrease the volume. Alarm When the unit is in standby mode, press the ALARM button repeatedly to set the alarm status of Alarm1 or Alarm 2. When the LCD display shows Alarm1 and Alarm2, press the / Button to select to choose ON or OFF. Press the ENTER Alarm setup In standby mode, press the ALARM Button repeatedly to set the alarm status of Alarm1 or Alarm2. Each time you press the / Button, you will skip to the previous or next stored station (including primary and secondary station). The unit will display the station name. Auto Scan Modes Full scan Searches all DAB channels in DAB Band III. Press and hold the SCAN Button for about 2 seconds to start searching. Manual Scan As well as the auto tune function, you can manually tune the receiver. This can help you when aligning your aerial or when adding stations that were missed while auto tuning. 1. Press and hold the ENTER Button, the display will show Manual tune. 2. Press the / Button to cycle through the DAB channels, which are numbered from 5A to 13F. 3. After your desired channel number is selected, press the ENTER Button multiplex. 4. Press the / Button to see what stations are present in the available multiplex. 5. Once you have reached the last station in the available multiplex, it will revert back to Manual tune mode, just press the ENTER button. Presetting Stations You can store up to 10 of your favourite stations to the memory. This will enable you to access your favourite stations quickly and easily. 1. like to save, press and hold the PRESET Button. The display will show “Preset Empty #”. 2. Press the / Button to select your desired preset station number. 3. Press the ENTER 4. The station will be stored and the display will show “Preset # Stored”. Recalling a Preset Station 1. Once you have saved a station to one of the preset buttons, you can recall it by pressing the PRESET Button. 2. Press the / Button to select your desired preset station number. 3. Press the ENTER DAB Display Modes Every time you press the INFO Button, the bottom line of the display will cycle through the following display modes. DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) Dynamic Label Segment is a scrolling message that the broadcaster may include with their transmissions. The message usually includes information, such as programme details etc. Programme Type This describes the “Style” or “Genre” of music that is being broadcast e.g. “Rock” or “Classical”. Frequency The frequency of the present station will be displayed, such as “11C 220.352MHz”. DLS (Scrolling Text) Programme Type Frequency Audio Bit Rate The display will show the digital audio bit rate being received. Audio Bit Rate Signal Strength This shows a slide bar to indicate the signal strength, the stronger the signal, the longer the bar will be from left to right. Time/Date The broadcaster (radio station) provides clock and date information automatically so there’s no need to manually set this information. Signal Strength Time/Date FM Operation Switching from DAB to FM Mode Press the /MODE Button to switch to FM mode. The display will show FM frequency. On the top line of the display is the current frequency. On the bottom of the display, <Programme Type> will show since no channel is tuned in and no RDS (Radio Data System) data are available. Auto Scan To search for an FM station, press the SCAN Button. This will start scanning up the frequency band. To scan down the frequency band, press and hold the SCAN Button. Once a station has been found, the scanning will stop automatically. If no station is found, then the tuning will stop once it has cycled through the entire FM band (87.5-108MHz). Press the ENTER Audio Mode Press the ENTER Button to toggle between the Auto or Mono audio mode. • The unit will automatically switch between stereo and mono mode, when auto mode is selected but you can override this and switch this function manually by changing it to mono mode. This is helpful when receiving poor signal reception. • During stereo reception, the received L/R stereo sound will be automatically combined into one single channel to suit the single speaker design of this radio. FM Display Modes Every time you press the INFO Button, the bottom line of the display will cycle through the following display modes. Frequency This shows the frequency of the current station, e.g. 89.80 MHz. Audio Mode When in FM mode, the display will show if the station being received is in mono or stereo mode. The receiver will automatically switch between Stereo and Mono modes. You can however override this function, so that you can manually switch between Stereo and Mono modes, which is helpful if you’re listening to a poor FM signal. To switch between mono and stereo, press the ENTER Button once, you will see on the display “ Auto” or “Mono ”. To toggle between each mode just press the ENTER Button button again. Frequency Audio Mode Radio Text Programme Type Signal Strength Radio Text This is a scrolling message displaying information about the current programme. Programme Type This describes the “Style” or “Genre” of music that is being broadcast e.g. “Rock” or “Classical”. Signal Strength The display will show a slide bar to indicate the signal strength, the stronger the signal, the longer the bar will be from left to right. Time/Date Time and date will show on the display. Time and date cannot be updated in FM mode. To ensure correct time and date is displayed, synchronise in DAB Date and Time Software Version While in DAB or FM mode, press and hold the INFO Button. The LCD display will show SYSTEM RESET. Press the INFO Button again to show the software version of this unit on the LCD display. System Reset There may be times when you need to reset your unit to the factory settings. If you experience reception problems you may want to reset and try again. If you move the unit to another part of the country and pick up the local and national DAB stations in that area, your previously tuned channels may no longer be available. To reset the system, press and hold the INFO Button. The LCD display will show SYSTEM RESET. Press the ENTER Button. The LCD display will show Press Enter Key to Reset. Press System Reset. The unit will then the ENTER start scanning for DAB channels immediately. After system reset, all tuned stations, DAB & FM preset stations will be erased. Using Earphones Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly increase the volume with the earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are connected, the speaker is automatically disabled. Avoid listening to sound at excessive levels which could be harmful to your ears. Prolonged listening at full volume can damage the ears of the user. Maintenance Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning. • To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth. • • Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit. Hints and Tips Problem Cause / Solution No Sound Adjust the volume control, it may not be turned up. Static Sound Signal reception is too low. Adjust the aerial or move the unit to a stronger signal location. Sound is distorted Volume is too high. Adjust the volume control. Desired station not found Weak signal. Use the Manual Tune function. The display shows “Not No DAB coverage in your area or poor reception. Adjust the available” position of the aerial. The display is blank This may occur if the broadcaster changes the label of a service or removes a label. The unit will try to retune or perform a scan. Indien u vocht morst in het apparaat kan dit ernstige schade toebrengen. Trek direct de stekker uit het stopcontact. Haal de adapter eruit en neem contact op met uw leverancier. Ventilatie Om risico op een elektrische schok, of brand veroorzaakt door oververhitting te voorkomen dient u ervoor te zorgen dat er geen gordijnen of ander materiaal de ventilatieopeningen blokkeert. Plaats dit apparaat niet in een boekenkast, inbouwkast of een kleine ruimte. Controleer dat er voldoende ventilatie is. Veiligheid Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact indien u een ander apparaat aansluit of indien u het apparaat wilt verplaatsen. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact bij onweer. Levensduur van de batterijen (Indicatie in uren) Batterij type Alkaline (soort AA) DAB 12 FM 13 Hanteren van de batterijen Onjuist gebruik kan leiden tot corrosie of lekkage van de batterijen, waardoor gevaar ontstaat voor lichamelijk letsel of schade aan eigendommen. Plaats de batterijen rekening houdend met de polariteit volgens de indicatie in het batterij compartiment. Gebruik uitsluitend batterijen die worden aanbevolen in deze handleiding. Gebruik geen nieuwe batterijen samen met gebruikte batterijen of gebruik niet verschillende type batterijen. Gooi deze batterijen niet bij het huishoudelijk afval. Volg hiervoor de lokale regelgeving. Indien u het apparaat langere tijd niet zult gebruiken, haal dan de batterijen uit het apparaat om corrosie of lekkage te vermijden. U dient de batterijen te verwisselen binnen één minuut, anders zullen alle opgeslagen instellingen (klok, gescande DAB stations en favorietenlijst) worden gewist. Indien dit gebeurt dient u alles weer opnieuw in te stellen. Indien u de batterijen verwisselt terwijl het apparaat aan staat, kan deze teruggaan naar de fabrieksinstellingen. Door de korte levensduur van sommige alkaline batterijen, raden wij u aan oplaadbare batterijen te gebruiken. U dient daarvoor een oplader aan te schaffen. Dit is voordeliger en milieuvriendelijker. Aanzetten van uw apparaat voor de eerste keer 1. Nadat u het apparaat heeft aangesloten op de elektriciteit, zet u de AAN/UIT schakelaar op aan. Op het LCD scherm zal Welcome to Digital Radio verschijnen en de radio zal in de Stand-by modus gaan. Druk nogmaals op de q/MODE knop en de radio zal automatisch in de DAB modus gaan. Op het LCD scherm verschijnt nu Autotune Full Scan en de radio zal een automatisch scan uitvoeren. 2. Kiezen van de modus Druk meerdere keren op de q/MODE knop om te kiezen tussen DAB en FM. Aanpassen van het Volume Druk op de VOL+/- knoppen om het volume aan te passen. Alarm Alarm aan- of uitzetten In de Stand-by modus, drukt u meerdere keren op de ALARM knop om Alarm1 of Alarm2 in te stellen. Druk op de 5/6 knoppen om de PIEPER, FM of DAB voor Alarm1 Type/Alarm2 Type in te stellen en druk daarna op de ENTER knop om te bevestigen. Nadat u het alarm heeft ingesteld verschijnt er op de display . Snooze functie Zodra het alarm afgaat, drukt u op de SNOOZE knop om de snooze modus te activeren. Het alarm zal na 9 minuten opnieuw afgaan. Alarm uitzetten Zodra het alarm afgaat, drukt u op de q/MODE knop om het alarm uit te zetten. DAB bediening Om de gevonden stations te beluisteren drukt u op de5/6 knoppen. Iedere keer als u op de knop drukt gaat u naar het vorige of volgende opgeslagen station (inclusief de primaire en secundaire stations). Op de display verschijnt de naam van de groep van de gevonden stations. Auto scan modus Volledige Scan Hiermee zoekt u automatische alle beschikbare stations van de DAB band III. Houd de SCAN knop ongeveer 2 seconden ingedrukt om het zoeken te starten. Handmatig zoeken U kunt zowel automatisch als handmatig zoeken. Dit kan handig zijn bij het verplaatsen van uw antenne of indien er een station tijdens het automatisch zoeken is gemist. 1. Houdt de ENTER knop ingedrukt, op de display verschijnt Manual Tune. 2. Druk op de5/6 knoppen om te scrollen door de DAB stations, die zijn genummerd van 5A tot 13F. 3. Nadat u het gewenste kanaalnummer heeft geselecteerd, drukt u op de ENTER knop om het huidige multiplex te openen, op de bovenste regel verschijnt nu het eerste station van het multiplex. 4. Druk op de5/6 knoppen om te kijken welke stations aanwezig zijn in het beschikbare multiplex. 5. Zodra u het laatste station heeft bereikt, zal het weer terugkeren naar het eerste station. Indien u de Manual tune modus wilt verlaten, drukt u eenvoudig op de ENTER knop. Voorinstellen van stations U kunt tot 10 favoriete stations voorinstellen in het geheugen. Hiermee kunt u eenvoudig en snel uw favoriete stations beluisteren. 1. Voor het opslaan van een station, zoekt u het station eerst op. Daarna drukt u op de PRESET knop en houd deze ingedrukt. Op de display verschijnt “Preset Empty#”. 2. Druk op de 5/6 knoppen om een nummer te kiezen voor het station. 3. Druk op de ENTER knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. 4. Het station wordt opgeslagen en op de display verschijnt nu “Preset # Stored”. Oproepen van een vooringesteld station Zodra u een station heeft opgeslagen onder één van de ingestelde nummers, kunt u: 1. Nadat u een station heeft opgeslagen, deze oproepen door op de PRESET knop te drukken. 2. Door middel van de 5/6 knoppen kiest u het gewenste nummer. 3. Druk op de ENTER knop om uw keuze te bevestigen. DAB display modi Zodra u op de INFO knop drukt, verschijnt in de onderste regel van de display aanvullende informatie door middel van een scrollende tekst. DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) Dynamic Label Segment wordt geleverd door de zender die informatie als scrollende tekst op de display weergeeft. Deze bevat gewoonlijk informatie m.b.t. het programma. Programma Type Dit omschrijft de Stijl of Genre van het programma zoals, “Rock” of “Klassiek” . Frequentie Dit geeft de frequentie van het huidige station weer zoals “11 C 220.352MHz”. Bit Rate Geeft de snelheid weer waarmee data wordt verzonden. Signaal sterkte De sterkte van het signaal van het huidige station wordt weergegeven op een signaal balk. Hoe langer de balk hoe sterker het signaal. Tijd/datum De zender (radio station) geeft de tijd en datum gegevens automatisch door dus u hoeft deze niet handmatig aan te passen. FM bediening Schakelen van DAB naar FM modus Druk op de q/MODE knop om te schakelen naar de FM modus. Op de display verschijnt de FM frequentie. De bovenste regel geeft de huidige frequentie aan. Op de onderste regel verschijnt <Programme Type> omdat er geen kanaal is afgestemd en er geen RDS (Radio Data System) beschikbaar is. Auto Scan Om naar FM zenders te zoeken, houdt u de ENTER knop ingedrukt. Hiermee zal het zoeken op de FM band gestart worden. Om te zoeken houdt u de SCAN knop ingedrukt. Zodra er een station is gevonden zal het scannen automatisch stoppen. Indien er geen station is gevonden zal het scannen automatisch stoppen zodra de hele FM band (87.5 – 108MHz) is afgezocht. Handmatig zoeken Door handmatig de FM band af te zoeken, drukt u meerdere keren op de 5/6 knoppen tot u een station heeft gevonden. Voorinstellen van Stations U kunt tot 10 FM stations opslaan, zodat u uw favoriete stations snel en gemakkelijk kunt terug vinden. Op de display verschijnt “Preset Empty#”. 1. Audio modus Druk op de ENTER knop om te wisselen tussen de Auto of Mono audio modus. Het apparaat zal automatisch wisselen tussen stereo en mono modus, indien u auto modus heeft geselecteerd, maar u kunt dit handmatig aanpassen indien u dat wilt. Dit kan eventueel handig zijn indien het signaal te zwak is. Tijdens stereo ontvangst, zal het L/R stereo geluid automatisch gecombineerd worden in één kanaal om te voldoen aan de enkele speaker uitvoering van dit apparaat. FM Display modi Zodra u op de INFO knop drukt, verschijnt in de onderste regel van de display aanvullende informa door middel van een scrollende tekst. Fonctionnement de base Mettre en marche/Éteindre Après le branchement de la radio à la prise secteur : Mettez l’interrupteur On/Off en mode On et l’appareil se mettra en mode VEILLE. L’appareil afficher le nom de la station. Modes Recherche Automatique Balayage complet Une recherche complète de toutes stations DAB bande III. Appuyez et tenez enfoncé le bouton SCAN pendant environs 2 secondes pour commencer la recherche. Recherche manuelle Autant qu’une recherche automatique, vous pouvez cherchez les stations manuellement. Cela pourrait vous aider en alignant l’antenne ou en ajoutant des stations qui ne sont pas trouvées pendant la recherche automatique. 1. Une fois que vous avez mémorisé une station sous une numéro, vous pouvez le rappelez en appuyant le bouton PRESET. 2. Modes DAB Affichés Chaque fois que vous appuyez le bouton INFO, la ligne inférieure affichera un cycle de modes d’affichage suivant : DLS (Dynamic Label Segment) Texte déroulant avec information supplémentaire, mise à disposition par la station. Cet information comprend généralement détails de programme. Etc. Type de programme Cela décrit le Style ou genre de la musique diffusée, p. ex. Rock ou Classique. Fréquence La fréquence de la station actuelle sera affiché, comme « 11C 220.352MHz » Débit Binaire Affiche le débit binaire du signal diffusé. Puissance du signal Affiche une barre avec la puissance du signal de la station actuelle. Plus longue est la barre, plus fort est le signal. Heure et Date Affiche l’information de l’heure et le date mise à disposition par la station. Il n’y a pas besoin de régler cet information manuellement. Fonctionnement FM Passer du mode DAB au mode FM Appuyez sur le bouton q/MODE pour passer au mode FM. L’écran affichera la fréquence FM. Sur la ligne supérieure vous voyez la fréquence actuelle. A l’inférieur de l’écran, sera affiché « Programme Type » car il n’y a pas une station réglée et il n’y ont pas de données RDS (Radio Data System) disponible. Recherche Automatique Pour chercher une station FM, appuyez sur le bouton SCAN, pour une recherche automatique de la bande de fréquences. Pour chercher vers le bas de la bande de fréquence, appuyez sur le bouton SCAN et tenez enfoncé. Une fois qu’une station est trouvée, la radio lance la recherche et s’arrêt automatiquement. Si la radio ne trouve aucune station, la recherche s’arrêt du moment que toute la bande de fréquence est terminée. (87.5 – 108 MHz). Recherche Manuelle Pour chercher une station manuellement, vous appuyez sur les boutons 5/ 6 plusieurs fois, jusqu’au moment que la fréquence désirée est trouvée. Préréglage des stations Vous pouvez préréglez 10 stations dans la mémoire, pour une recherche vite et facile de votre stations préférées. L’écran affichera « Preset empty # . 1. Pour la mémorisation, sélectionnez la station de votre choix. Appuyez et tenez enfoncé le bouton PRESET. 2. Appuyez sur les boutons 5/ 6 pour sélectionner le numéro désiré de la station mémorisée. 3. Appuyez sur le bouton ENTER pour confirmer votre sélection. 4. La station sera mémorisée et l’écran affichera « Preset# Stored ». Rappel des stations mémorisées 1. Une fois que vous avez mémorisé une station sous une numéro, vous pouvez le rappelez en appuyant le bouton PRESET. 2. Appuyez sur les boutons 5/ 6 pour sélectionner le numéro désiré de la station mémorisée. 3. Appuyez sur le bouton ENTER pour confirmer votre sélection. Mode audio Appuyez sur le bouton ENTER pour basculer entre les modes Auto ou Mono. L’appareil passera automatiquement en mode Stéréo ou Mono, lorsque le mode Auto est sélectionné vous le pouvez changer manuellement en mode Mono. Cela pourrait être utiles avec une réception faible. Pendant la réception Stéréo, le son L/R Stéréo reçu sera automatiquement combiné dans un seul canal pour convenir à l’haut-parleur de la radio. Pour vérifier que l’information soit correcte, synchronisez-le au début en mode DAB du logiciel En mode DAB ou FM, appuyez sur le bouton INFO. L’écran affichera SYSTEM RESET. Appuyez de nouveau sur le bouton INFO pour l’affichage du version du logiciel de cet appareil. Réinitialisation du Système Quelque fois il pourrait être nécessaire de réinitialiser l’appareil au réglage par défaut. Si vous avez des problèmes de réception vous pouvez réinitialiser l’appareil et essayez de nouveau. Si vous avez déplacée la radio vers un autre région du pays, les station préréglées probablement ne seront plus disponibles et il faut rétablir les valeurs des paramètres par défaut. Pour réinitialiser le système, appuyez et tenez enfoncé le bouton INFO. L’écran affichera SYSTEM RESET. Appuyez sur le bouton ENTER. L’écran affichera Press Enter Key to Reset (appuyez sur le bouton Enter pour réinitialiser). Appuyez sur le bouton ENTER pour confirmer. L’écran affichera System Reset. L’appareil commencera la recherche de tous canaux DAB immédiatement. La mémoire de stations présélectionnées DAB+ et FM sera effacée et toutes stations préréglées seront annulées. Utilisation du casque/écouteurs Avant d’écouter, baissez le volume, mettez les écouteurs, augmentez lentement le volume jusqu’à l’obtention d’une écoute confortable. Lorsque les écouteurs sont branchés automatiquement l’haut-parleur ne fonctionne pas. Une écoute prolongée à un niveau de volume excessif peut endommager votre ouïe. Entretien Assurez-vous de débrancher la radio avant le nettoyage de l’appareil. Pour nettoyer l’appareil, utiliser un chiffon humide sans peluche. N’utilisez pas de liquides contenant de l’alcool, ammoniac ou produits abrasifs. Ne vaporisez pas d’aérosols vers ou à proximité de l’appareil. Le signal est trop faibles. Ajustez l’antenne ou déplacez l’appareil pour une réception meilleure. Le volume est trop élevé, diminuez le volume. Signal trop faible. Cherchez la station manuellement. Il n’y a pas un couverture du service DAB ou un signal faible. Réglez la position de l’antenne. Cela peut arriver si la radiodiffusion change le nom du service ou supprime le service pendant que vous écoutez. La radio essaiera de régler de nouveau ou d’effectuer une recherche automatique.
