PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER ART. 2108 VOOR HET GEBRUIK Deze gebruiksaanwijzing eerst geheel doorlezen en vervolgens bewaren om later nog eens te kunnen raadplegen. Controleer of de netspanning in de woning overeenkomt met die van het apparaat. Sluit dit apparaat alleen op een geaard stopcontact aan. Laat de eerste keer het water zonder koffie door de PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER lopen om het inwendige systeem te reinigen. Spoel daarna de kan en permanente filter nog even om. WERKING VAN DE PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER Vul het reservoir met water, doe de permanente filter en gemalen koffie in de filterhouder. Plaats de kan op het warmhoudplaatje en schakel de PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER in. Gebruik ca. 3 à 4 volle maatscheppen koffie voor een volle kan. Dit geeft een gemiddeld sterk resultaat. LET OP: wacht na het koffiezetten minstens 5 minuten vóórdat een nieuwe kan koffie gezet wordt, om het apparaat te laten afkoelen. WARMHOUDEN Zolang de PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER ingeschakeld is zal de koffie op temperatuur gehouden worden. SCHOONMAKEN HAAL EERST DE STEKKER UIT HET STOPCONTACT De glaskan en permanente filter afspoelen. Deze onderdelen zijn niet vaatwasmachinebestendig. De buitenkant van de PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER kan met een vochtige doek worden afgenomen. ONTKALKEN Regelmatig ontkalken zal de levensduur van de PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER zeer ten goede komen. Een vuistregel is één keer per maand ontkalken. Bij zeer hard water zelfs twee keer per maand. Hard water is water van meer dan 20° DH; DH betekent Duitse Hardheid en is een maat voor de hardheid van het water. Uw waterleidingbedrijf kan de hardheid van uw leidingwater opgeven. Ook direct ontkalken wanneer: - Het apparaat pruttelende geluiden gaat maken, - Het koffiezetten langer duurt dan normaal, - Er na het koffiezetten water achter blijft in het reservoir. Voor het ontkalken kunnen bijna alle in de handel verkrijgbare middelen worden gebruikt. Op de meeste middelen staat aangegeven voor welke toepassing zij geschikt zijn. Uitgezonderd zijn zoutzuur en zwavelzuur. Deze stoffen nooit voor het ontkalken toepassen. Ga als volgt te werk: - Laat het apparaat eerst voldoende afkoelen. - Vul het reservoir met koud water. - Doe bij het water een hoeveelheid ontkalkingsmiddel, zoals op de verpakking van het middel aangegeven is. - Doe de permanente filter in de filterhouder; vergeet niet de kan eronder te plaatsen. - Schakel het apparaat in. - Nadat ongeveer 2 kopjes water doorgestroomd zijn, het apparaat uitschakelen en een half uurtje laten staan; het ontkalkingsmiddel kan dan inwerken. - Hierna het apparaat weer inschakelen; als al het water met ontkalkingsmiddel doorgestroomd is, het apparaat nog drie keer met schoon water laten werken om alle restanten ontkalkingmiddel eruit te spoelen. Let op: laat tussen iedere 'doorspoelbeurt' het apparaat een minuut of drie afkoelen. Bij verkalkte apparaten vervalt de garantie. 4 PRINCESS-TIPS: - Dompel het apparaat nooit in water of andere vloeistof onder. - Trek altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact vóór het schoonmaken en bij storingen. - Het warmhoudplaatje wordt erg heet: zorg dat kinderen er niet bij kunnen en wees er zelf ook voorzichtig mee. - Zorg dat het apparaat niet zo dicht bij de rand van tafel, werkblad e.d. staat dat iemand het eraf zou kunnen stoten; zorg ook dat het snoer niet zodanig hangt dat men erover zou kunnen struikelen of erachter blijven haken. Bedenk dat een kan koffie bijna 100°C is! - Gebruik het apparaat niet als het beschadigd is of als het snoer beschadigd is, maar stuur het dan naar onze servicedienst. Bij dit type toestellen kan een beschadigd snoer uitsluitend met speciaal gereedschap door onze servicedienst vervangen worden. - Plaats het apparaat niet in de directe nabijheid van een hete kookplaat e.d. PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER ART. 2108 BEFORE USING Read these instructions thoroughly first and keep them for future reference. Check that your domestic electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Only connect this appliance to an earthed socket. First let the water circulate through the PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER without adding any coffee, in order to cleanse the system. Afterwards, rinse the pot and the permanent filter. HOW THE PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER WORKS Fill the reservoir/tank with water and place the permanent filter and ground coffee in the filter holder. Place the pot on the hotplate and turn on the PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER. Use approx. three to four full measures of coffee for a full pot of water. This will produce a medium coffee. NOTE: After making coffee, wait at least 5 minutes before making another pot, in order to let the appliance cool off. KEEPING WARM The coffee stays warm as long as the PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER is switched on. CLEANING FIRST UNPLUG THE CORD FROM THE SOCKET Rinse the glass pot and the permanent filter. These parts are not dishwasher-safe. The outside of the PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER can be wiped down with a damp cloth. DESCALING Regular descaling will help prolong the life of the PRINCESS ROYAL CAMPING COFFEEMAKER. It is a good idea to descale around once a month. If the local water supply is especially hard, twice a month is recommended. Hard water is more than 20° DH (a German scale used to measure water hardness). Your water company can tell you the degree of hardness. You should immediately descale when the appliance: - Makes gurgling noises; - Takes longer than usual to brew; - Still has water in the reservoir after brewing. Nearly all commercially available descaling products are appropriate for use. The instructions on most products indicate whether they are suitable. Never use any product containing hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. These are not suitable for descaling. Proceed as follows: - First allow the appliance to cool down sufficiently. - Fill the reservoir with cold water. - Add the amount of descaling agent indicated on the package. - Place the permanent filter into the filter holder, not forgetting to put the pot in place. - Switch on the appliance. - Once about 2 cups have flowed through, switch off the appliance and let it stand for a half-hour to allow the descaling agent to work. 5
