Safety precautions
Unit

AC mains lead
• To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage,
– Ensure that the power supply voltage corresponds to
the voltage printed on AC adaptor.
– Insert the mains plug fully into the socket outlet.
– Do not pull, bend, or place heavy items on the lead.
– Do not handle the plug with wet hands.
– Hold onto the mains plug body when disconnecting the plug.
– Do not use a damaged mains plug or socket outlet.
• The mains plug is the disconnecting device.
Install this unit so that the mains plug can be unplugged
from the socket outlet immediately.
Button-type battery (Lithium battery)
• Risk of fire, explosion and burns. Do not recharge,
disassemble, heat above 60

Avoid the use in the following conditions
• High or low extreme temperatures during use, storage or

Unit

Placement
• Place this unit on an even surface.
• To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product

– Do not obstruct this unit’s ventilation openings with
newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, and similar items.

Button-type battery (Lithium battery)

• Mishandling of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage

– Remove the battery if you do not intend to use the
remote control for a long period of time. Store in a

AC adaptor
• The AC adaptor operates on AC between 100 V and
240 V. But obtain a suitable plug adaptor if the plug does
not fit the AC mains socket.

The remote control supplied with this product contains a
coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is

might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of

wireless permit is not necessary.

• Wireless transmission and/or usage with all Bluetooth

equipped devices is not guaranteed.
• All devices must conform to standards set by Bluetooth
SIG, Inc.
• Depending on the specifications and settings of a
device, it can fail to connect or some operations can be
different.
• This system supports Bluetooth

Unit care
∫ Clean this system with a soft, dry cloth
• When dirt is heavy, wring a cloth moistened in water
tightly to wipe the dirt, and then wipe it with a dry cloth.
• Never use alcohol, paint thinner or benzine to clean this
system.
• Before using chemically-treated cloth, carefully read the
instructions that came with the cloth.
∫ To dispose or transfer this system
This system may keep the user settings information in this
system. If you discard this system either by disposal or
transfer, then follow the procedure to return all the settings
to the factory presets to delete the user settings.
• The operation history may be recorded in the memory of
this system.

1 LED indicators
The currently-selected device is indicated by the
lighting of the corresponding indicator.
2 Standby/on switch (Í/I)
Press to switch the unit from on to standby mode
or vice versa. In standby mode, the unit is still
consuming a small amount of power.

Connections
• Turn off all equipment before connection and read the appropriate operating instructions.
Do not connect the AC mains lead for this system to the socket outlet until all connections have
been completed.
• Do not place this system directly on top of another device, such as a Blu-ray disc recorder.
• Keep magnetised items away. Magnetised cards, watches, etc., can be damaged if placed too close to this system.
• When connecting with a PC monitor that has a resolution other than Full HD or 4K (WQHD, etc.), connect
directly to the PC using a DP cable (A) (optional).
• The unit is in the standby condition when the AC adaptor is connected. The primary circuit is always “live” as
long as the AC adaptor is connected to an electrical outlet.
• This system consumes a small amount of AC power (> 9) even when it is turned off. In the interest of power
conservation, if you will not be using this system for a long time, unplug it from the household mains socket.
• If there is no signal for 20 minutes, this system automatically switches to standby. (Auto Power Down)
This function can be turned off. For details, refer to the “Operating Instructions (PDF format)”.
• The symbols on the supplied AC adaptor represent the following:
• Purchase an HDMI cable rated as “High-Speed HDMI Cable”. Operation is not possible with a cable that
does not meet the HDMI standards.
• This system supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) pass-through of 4K (50p/60p) signals.
– An HDMI cable that supports 18 Gbps is required to enjoy 4K (50p/60p) HDR content.
• This system supports 3D content.
• When selecting this system from a PC, etc., select “SOUNDSLAYER” as the audio output device.

(The instructions below use a PC as an example.)
To connect this system and the PC with an HDMI
cable, you need to change the PC settings to
output sound correctly from this system.
• For details, refer to the operating instructions for the
PC for details.
1 Connect this system and the PC with
an HDMI cable. (> 6)
• After connecting this system and the PC, turn
them on.
2 Set the PC’s sound output destination
to “SOUNDSLAYER”.
Note
• Confirm that the CEC linking function of each connected
device is ON.
• When you connect to a device that does not have the CEC
linking function, audio output settings may be required on the
connected device.
• Please also follow the steps above after adding a new
device, reconnecting to the PC or restoring the default
settings.
Using this system
Preparation
• Turn on the TV and/or connected device.
1 Press [Í] to turn on this system.
2 Select the source.
∫ To select a sound mode
You can change the sound mode by pressing the
appropriate button.
• Confirm that the 3D SRND indicator and the GN-GAME/
AV OR-TV indicator blink twice.
Switching the [GAME] mode
When you press [GAME], the LED indicators blink and
the current mode is displayed. When you press
[GAME] again during the setting, the 3D SRND and
GN-GAME/AV OR-TV indicators blink twice and the
setting changes in the following order:

• The setting is maintained until it is changed again.
What is ARC?
ARC is an abbreviation of “Audio Return Channel”,
also known as HDMI ARC. It refers to one of the
HDMI functions. When you connect the terminal
labelled “ARC” and this system, TV pictures and
sound can be enjoyed with a single HDMI cable.
• Be sure to connect to the TV’s ARC compatible
terminal.

• Refer to the operating instructions of the Bluetooth

• Turn on the Bluetooth

feature of the device and
place the device near this system.

• If the “ ” indicator flashes quickly, go to step 3.
2 Press and hold [ ] until the “ ”

• If the “ ” indicator flashes slowly, repeat step 2.
3 Select “SOUNDSLAYER” from the
Bluetooth

device’s Bluetooth

menu.
• If prompted for the passkey on the Bluetooth

device, enter “0000”.
• Once the Bluetooth

device is connected, the
“ ” indicator stops flashing and lights up.
• You can register up to 8 devices with this system. If a 9th
device is paired, the device that has not been used for the
longest time will be replaced.

• If the “ ” indicator lights, a Bluetooth

already connected with this system. Disconnect

2 Select “SOUNDSLAYER” from the

Aufstellung

Anschlüsse
• Schalten Sie vor dem Anschluss alle Geräte aus, und lesen Sie die betreffenden Bedienungsanleitungen durch.
Schließen Sie das Netzkabel erst dann an die Steckdose an, wenn alle anderen Anschlüsse erfolgt sind.
• Platzieren Sie dieses System nicht auf anderen Geräten wie Blu-ray-Disc-Rekordern.
• Halten Sie magnetisierte Gegenstände fern. Magnetkarten, Uhren usw. können beschädigt werden, wenn sie
zu nahe an diesem Gerät platziert werden.
• Beim Verbinden mit einem PC-Monitor mit einer anderen Auflösung als Full HD oder 4K (WQHD usw.) stellen
Sie über ein DP-Kabel (A) (Sonderzubehör) eine direkte Verbindung zum PC her.
• Das Gerät befindet sich im Standby-Modus, wenn der Netzadapter angeschlossen wird. Der Primärkreis ist
immer aktiv, so lange der Netzadapter an eine Steckdose angeschlossen ist.
• Dieses System verbraucht auch eine geringe Menge Strom (

9), wenn es ausgeschaltet ist. Ziehen Sie, im Interesse der

1 Verbinden Sie dieses System und den
PC über ein HDMI-Kabel. (> 6)
• Wenn dieses System und der PC verbunden
sind, schalten Sie sie ein.
2 Stellen Sie das Tonausgabeziel des
PCs auf “SOUNDSLAYER” ein.
Hinweis
• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die CEC-Verbindungsfunktion
der beiden verbundenen Geräte eingeschaltet ist.
• Wenn Sie eine Verbindung zu einem Gerät herstellen, das
nicht über die CEC-Verbindungsfunktion verfügt, müssen auf

Connexions
• Mettez hors tension tous les appareils avant la connexion et lisez les modes d’emploi correspondants.
Ne branchez pas le cordon d'alimentation secteur de ce système à la prise murale avant que les
autres raccordements soient effectués.
• Ne placez pas ce système directement au-dessus d'un autre appareil, comme un Enregistreur Blu-ray Disc.
• Éloignez les éléments magnétisés. Les cartes magnétiques, les montres, etc. peuvent être endommagées si
elles sont trop proches de ce système.
• Pour raccorder un écran d'ordinateur ayant une résolution autre que Full HD ou 4K (WQHD, etc.), branchez
directement à l'ordinateur à l'aide d'un câble DP (A) (en option).
• L'appareil est en veille lorsque l'adaptateur secteur est branché. Le circuit principal reste "vivant" aussi
longtemps que l'adaptateur secteur est branché à une prise électrique.
• Ce système consomme une petite quantité de courant électrique (
>
9), même lorsqu'il est éteint. Dans un souci d'économie
d'énergie, si vous ne devez plus utiliser ce système pendant une période prolongée, débranchez-le de la prise secteur.
• S'il n'y a aucun signal durant 20 minutes, ce système se met automatiquement en veille. (Mise hors tension automatique)
Cette fonction peut être désactivée. Pour plus de détails, consultez le “Mode d’emploi (format PDF)”.
• Les symboles sur l'adaptateur secteur fourni signifient les choses suivantes :
• Achetez un câble HDMI classé comme "Câble HDMI Haute Vitesse". Le fonctionnement n'est pas possible
avec un câble qui ne répond pas aux normes HDMI.
• Ce système prend en charge le passage HDR (High Dynamic Range) des signaux 4K (50p/60p).
– Un câble HDMI supportant 18 Gb/s est nécessaire pour bénéficier d'un contenu HDR 4K (50p/60p).
• Ce système prend en charge le contenu 3D.
• En sélectionnant ce système depuis un ordinateur, etc., choisissez “SOUNDSLAYER” comme dispositif de sortie audio.

Pour raccorder ce système et un ordinateur à
l'aide d'un câble HDMI, vous aurez besoin de
changer les paramètres de l’ordinateur pour
permettre au son d'être reproduit correctement par
ce système.
• Pour plus de détails, consultez le mode d’emploi de
l’ordinateur.
1 Raccordez ce système et l’ordinateur
à l'aide d'un câble HDMI. (> 6)
• Après avoir raccordé ce système et l’ordinateur,
mettez-les tous deux en marche.
2 Réglez la destination de sortie du son
de l’ordinateur sur “SOUNDSLAYER”.
Remarque
• Vérifiez que la fonction de liaison CEC de chaque dispositif
raccordé est activée.
• Lorsque vous raccordez un dispositif qui ne possède pas la
fonction de liaison CEC, un réglage de la sortie du son peut
être nécessaire sur ce dispositif.
• Veuillez également suivre les étapes ci-dessus après l'ajout
d'un nouveau dispositif, d'un nouveau raccordement à
l’ordinateur ou la restauration des paramètres par défaut.
En utilisant ce système
Préparation
• Mettez en marche le téléviseur et/ou le dispositif
raccordé.
1 Appuyez sur la touche [Í] pour
mettre en marche ce système.
2 Sélectionnez la source.
∫ Pour sélectionner un mode sonore
Vous pouvez changer le mode sonore en
appuyant sur la touche appropriée.
• Vérifiez que l'indicateur 3D SRND et l'indicateur GN-GAME/
AV OR-TV clignotent deux fois.
Pour changer le mode [GAME]
Lorsque vous appuyez sur la touche [GAME], les
indicateurs LED clignotent et le mode en cours
s'affiche. Lorsque vous appuyez une nouvelle fois sur
la touche [GAME] durant le réglage, les indicateurs
3D SRND et GN-GAME/AV OR-TV clignotent deux

Premerlo per passare dallo stato di accensione alla

• Prima di fare i collegamenti, spegnere tutte le unità e leggere i manuali dei vari apparecchi.
Non collegare il cavo di alimentazione CA del sistema alla presa di corrente prima di aver

Conexiones
• Antes de hacer la conexión, apague todos los equipos y lea los manuales de instrucciones apropiados.
No conecte el cable de alimentación de CA para este sistema en la toma hasta que se hayan
completado todas las conexiones.
• No coloque este sistema directamente encima de otro dispositivo, como una grabadora de discos Blu-ray.
• Mantenga los elementos imantados lejos. Las tarjetas imantadas, relojes, etc. se pueden dañar si se ubican
demasiado cerca del sistema.
• Cuando lo conecte con un monitor de PC que tenga una resolución distinta a Full HD o 4K (WQHD, etc.),
conéctelo directamente al PC mediante un cable DP (A) (opcional).
• La unidad se encuentra en condición de espera cuando el adaptador de CA está conectado. El circuito
primario siempre está "activo" cuando el adaptador de CA está conectado a un tomacorriente eléctrico.
• Este sistema consume poca corriente CA, (> 9) incluso cuando está apagado. Para ahorrar energía, si no va
a usar este sistema durante mucho tiempo, desenchúfelo del tomacorriente de alimentación principal.
• Si no hay señal durante 20 minutos, este sistema pasará automáticamente al modo de espera. (Apagado automático)

sonido del PC en “SOUNDSLAYER”.
Nota
• Confirme que la función de enlace CEC de cada dispositivo
conectado esté activada.

salida de audio en el dispositivo conectado.

GN-GAME/AV OR-TV parpadean dos veces y el
ajuste cambia en el siguiente orden:

• El ajuste se mantiene hasta que se cambie de nuevo.
¿Qué es un ARC?
ARC es la abreviatura de “Audio Return Channel”
(Canal de retorno de audio), también conocido
como HDMI ARC. Se refiere a una de las funciones
de HDMI. Cuando conecte el terminal etiquetado
como “ARC” y este sistema, se puede disfrutar de
las imágenes y sonido del TV con un solo cable
HDMI.

Toestel
• Om het risico op brand, elektrische schokken of

Netsnoer
• Om het risico op brand, elektrische schokken of

Toestel

kaarsen, op dit toestel.
• Dit toestel kan tijdens het gebruik de interferentie van
radio’s ontvangen die veroorzaakt wordt door mobiele
telefoons. In dat geval dient u de afstand tussen dit
toestel en de mobiele telefoon te vergroten.

Opstelling

Knoopbatterij (Lithium batterij)

• Het verkeerd hanteren van batterijen kan het lekken van
elektrolyt tot gevolg hebben waardoor brand kan ontstaan.
– Neem de batterij uit als u denkt dat u de
afstandsbediening lange tijd niet zult gebruiken.
Bewaar hem in een koele, donkere plaats.
– Verwarm de batterijen niet en stel deze niet bloot aan vuur.
– Laat de batterij(en) niet lange tijd in een auto in direct
zonlicht liggen terwijl de portieren en de raampjes
gesloten zijn.
• Neem voor het weggooien van de batterijen contact op
met de plaatselijke autoriteiten of uw verkoper en vraag
wat de juiste weggooimethode is.
Netadapter
• De netadapter werkt op netvoeding tussen 100 V en
240 V. Zorg echter voor een geschikte stekkeradapter
als de stekker niet in het netstopcontact past.

Aansluitingen
• Schakel alle uitrustingen uit voordat met de aansluiting begonnen wordt en lees de bijbehorende instructies.
Sluit de netvoedingskabel voor dit systeem niet op het stopcontact aan zolang alle verbindingen
niet voltooid zijn.
• Plaats dit systeem niet rechtstreeks bovenop een ander apparaat, zoals een Blu-ray disc-recorder.
• Houd magnetische voorwerpen op afstand. Magnetische kaarten, horloges, enz., kunnen beschadigd raken
als ze zich te dicht bij dit systeem bevinden.
• Wanneer verbinding gemaakt wordt met een PC-monitor die een andere resolutie heeft dan Full HD of 4K
(WQHD, enz.), maak dan rechtstreeks verbinding met de PC met gebruik van een DP-kabel (A) (optioneel).
• Het toestel staat op stand-by als de netadapter aangesloten is. Het primaire circuit is altijd "onder spanning"
zolang de netadapter op een stopcontact aangesloten is.
• Het systeem verbruikt een kleine hoeveelheid netvoeding (
>
9), zelfs als het uitgeschakeld is. Als u dit systeem
lange tijd niet gebruikt, trek dan, in het belang van de energiebesparing, de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Als er gedurende 20 minuten geen signaal is, zal dit systeem automatisch op stand-by gaan. (Automatische stroomuitschakeling)
Deze functie kan uitgeschakeld worden. Raadpleeg voor details de “Gebruiksaanwijzing (PDF-formaat)”.
• De symbolen op de bijgeleverde netadapter stellen het volgende voor:
• Koop een HDMI-kabel die geclassificeerd is als “High-Speed HDMI Cable”. De werking is niet mogelijk met
een kabel die niet aan de HDMI-standaard voldoet.
• Dit systeem ondersteunt het HDR (High Dynamic Range) doorgeven van 4K (50p/60p)-signalen.
– Er wordt een HDMI-kabel vereist die 18 Gbps ondersteunt om van 4K (50p/60p) HDR-inhoud te genieten.
• Dit systeem ondersteunt 3D-inhoud.
• Wanneer dit systeem vanaf een PC, enz., geselecteerd wordt, selecteer dan “SOUNDSLAYER” als het
apparaat waaruit de audio komt.

Om dit systeem en de PC met een HDMI-kabel te
verbinden, dient u de PC-instellingen te
veranderen om ervoor te zorgen dat het geluid
correct uit het systeem gezonden wordt.
• Raadpleeg voor details de gebruiksaanwijzing van
de PC.
1 Verbind dit systeem en de PC met
elkaar met een HDMI-kabel. (> 6)
• Nadat dit systeem en de PC met elkaar
verbonden zijn, schakelt u ze in.
2 Zet de uitvoerbestemming van het
geluid van de PC op
“SOUNDSLAYER”.
N.B.
• Controleer of de CEC-koppelingsfunctie van ieder verbonden
apparaat op ON staat.
• Als u verbinding maakt met een apparaat dat geen CEC-
koppelingsfunctie heeft, worden mogelijk op het verbonden
apparaat instellingen voor de uitgave van audio vereist.
• Volg bovenstaande stappen ook nadat een nieuw apparaat
toegevoegd is, door opnieuw verbinding met de PC te maken
of de fabrieksinstellingen te herstellen.
Gebruik van dit systeem
Voorbereidingen
• Schakel de TV en/of het aangesloten apparaat in.
1 Druk op [Í] om dit systeem in te
schakelen.
2 Kies de bron.
∫ Selecteren van een geluidmodus
U kunt de geluidmodus veranderen door op de
betreffende knop te drukken.
• Bevestig dat het 3D SRND-controlelampje en het
GN-GAME/AV OR-TV-controlelampje twee keer knipperen.
De [GAME]-modus omschakelen
Als u op [GAME] drukt, knipperen de LED-lampjes en
wordt de huidige modus weergegeven. Als u tijdens de
instelling opnieuw op [GAME] drukt, knipperen de
lampjes 3D SRND en GN-GAME/AV OR-TV twee keer
en veranderen de instellingen in de volgende volgorde:

Wat is ARC?
ARC is een afkorting voor “Audio Return Channel”,

etiket “ARC” met dit systeem verbindt, kan met een
enkele HDMI-kabel van TV-beelden en -geluid
genoten worden.
• Zorg ervoor dat u op de ARC-compatibele
aansluiting van de TV aansluit.
