Protection
1. Battery: Low Voltage Disconnection (LVD):
The LVD is activated, when the battery voltage is less than 11V. The output is turned off. Also, the battery
symbol will be flashing as a warning. Please increase the charge current or increase the charging period.
The LVD will be deactivated, when the battery voltage is more than 12.6V. The load output will now be turned
back on, or can be forced back on by pressing the MENU button in the main interface.
2. Battery: Over Voltage Disconnection (OVD):
The OVD is activated, when the battery voltage is more than 16.5V. The load will be turned off. Also, the load
and warning symbol will be flashing.
The OVD will deactivate, when the battery voltage has decreased to 15V. The load output will be turned back
on.
3. Load: Over Current Protection (OCP):
When the load has short circuited or overloaded, the output is turned off. Also, the load and waring symbol
will be flashing. Please check if there is a short circuit on the load terminal and decrease the power of the load.
After 30 seconds, the controller will automatically restart when the output is turned on, or press the MENU
button in the main interface to turn it back on.
4. High Voltage Disconnection (HVD) protection:
The HVD will be activated, when the battery has been charged to 13.8V. The charge symbol will be flashing
and the battery voltage will be limited.
Troubleshooting
1. The solar panel is disconnected:
Check if the solar panel input is connected correctly and whether the contact is reliable.
2. The battery voltage is less than 8V:
Check the battery voltage. The controller will only start when the battery voltage is more than 8V.
3. The solar panel voltage is less than the battery voltage:
The voltage of the solar panel must be higher than that of the battery.
4. Battery over discharge:
The load output is turned off automatically and recovers when the battery capacity is high enough.
5. Battery over voltage:
When battery over voltage occurs, please check if the battery voltage exceeds the needed volage and
afterwards reconnect the solar panel.
6. Overload:
Reduce load or check the connection of the load.
7. Over temperature:
Make sure the controller cools down. Afterwards charging should restart automatically.
8. The charging current of the solar panel is too high:
Check the output of the solar panel and reduce de amount of parallel connected solar panels. Restart after 2
minutes.
9. The display shows LVD:
The battery is over discharged. Check whether the system set-up is feasible or not; whether there is more
discharging capacity than charging capacity.
10. The display shows HVD:
The battery voltage is too high. Cut off he solar panel and check if the voltage goes down to a normal level. If
the error does not go away afterwards, disconnect the battery and reconnect it again.
11. The display shows OCP:
The load has short circuited or overloaded. Check whether the cables of the load have short circuited, whether
the output of the load is too high, or the surge power of the load is too high.
