Warranty

This product has the benefit of a non-transferable limited one-year (United States) or three-year (all other

regions) manufacturer’s warranty. Complete details of the warranty applicable to this product and its terms

can be found online and/or are available by contacting your local Customer Care Centre.

Australia/New Zealand - In compliance with the Australian Consumer Law, Warranties Against Defects,

effective 1 January 2012, the warranty details regarding this Product are as follows: Radio Systems Australia

Pty Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Radio Systems”) warrants to the original retail purchaser, and not any other

purchaser or subsequent owner, that its Product, when subject to normal and proper residential use, will be free

from defects in terms of materials or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the purchase date. An

“original retail consumer purchaser” is a person or entity that originally purchases the Product, or a gift recipient

of a new Product that is unopened and in its original packaging. When serviced by Radio Systems Customer

Service, Radio Systems covers labour and parts for the first three years of ownership; after the first three years, a

service or upgrade charge will apply to replace the Product with new or refurbished items at Radio Systems’ sole

discretion.

The limited warranty is non-transferable and shall automatically terminate if the original retail consumer

purchaser resells the Radio Systems Product or transfers the property at which the Radio Systems Product

is installed. This Limited Warranty excludes accidental damage caused by dog bites, lightning damage or

neglect, alteration and misuse. Consumers that purchase products outside of Australia, New Zealand or from an

unauthorised dealer will need to return the Product to the original place of purchase for any warranty issues.

Please note that Radio Systems does not provide refunds, replacements or upgrades due to changes of opinion

or for any other reason outside of these Warranty terms.

Claims Procedure: Any claim made under this Warranty should be made directly to Radio Systems Australia

To file a claim, a proof of purchase must be provided. Without proof of purchase, Radio Systems will not repair

or replace faulty components. Radio Systems requests the Consumer to contact the Radio Systems Customer

Care Centre to obtain a Warranty Return number, before sending the Product. Failure to do so may delay the

repair or replacement of the Product.

If the Product is deemed to be faulty within 30 days of the original purchase, Radio Systems will organise

for a replacement to be sent in advance of returning the faulty Product. A Post Bag will be included with

the replacement Product for the return of the faulty Product. The Product must be returned within 7 days of

receiving the replacement. If the Product is deemed to be faulty after 30 days of the original purchase, the

consumer will be required to return the Product to Radio Systems at the consumer’s own expense. Radio

Systems will test and replace the faulty device or its components and return it to the consumer free of charge,

provided that the Product is within its said warranty period. This warranty is additional to other rights and

remedies available to you under the law. Radio Systems goods come with guarantees that cannot be

excluded under the Australia Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failure

and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the

products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and said failure does not amount to a

major failure.

All Pet Doors and Cat Flaps

• When children are present in the home, it is important to consider the pet door while childproofing. The pet

door may be misused, potentially giving children access to hazards that may be on the other side of the

pet door. Owners with swimming pools should ensure that children are monitored at all times and that the

swimming pool has adequate barriers to entry. If a new hazard is created inside or outside of your home, which

may be accessed through the pet door, Radio Systems Corporation recommends that you properly guard

access to the hazard or remove the pet door. The closing panel or lock, if applicable, is provided for aesthetic

and energy efficiency purposes and is not intended as a security device. Radio Systems Corporation will not be

liable for unintended use and the owner of this product accepts full responsibility for oversight of the opening

that it creates.

• To avoid risk of severe injury, follow all safety instructions for your power tools and wear safety goggles

during use.

• The user, prior to installation, must become familiar with all building codes that may affect the installation of the

pet door and determine, along with a licensed contractor, its suitability in a given installation. This pet door is

not a fire door. It is important for the owner and contractor to consider any risks that may be present inside or

outside of the pet door and any risks that may be created by subsequent changes to the property and how they

may relate to the existence and use, including misuse, of the pet door.

• It is not possible to cut holes in tempered or double pane glass except at the time of manufacture. Consult

a professional glazier or glass manufacturer to install the pet door in a glass door or window.

• During pet training, make sure to GENTLY lower the flap onto your pet’s back. Also avoid possible injury by

making sure your pet is entirely through the pet door opening, including their paws and tail, before completely

releasing the flap.

• Keep these instructions and ensure that they are transferred to any new owner of the property.

• Use a manual screwdriver to tighten screws. Do not overtighten. Overtightening can strip the screws or warp

the pet door frame.

• Unauthorised changes or modifications may void the user’s authority to operate this equipment and void the

warranty.

• PetSafe® pet doors are suitable for most doors, walls or partitions although additional materials may be

required. This product is designed for the convenience of you and your pet. It is not possible to fully guarantee

the exclusion of all other animals in all circumstances. Radio Systems Corporation will not accept liability for

any damage or inconvenience caused by unwanted animals that may gain access to your home.

All Pet Doors and Cat Flaps (Except Patio Panels and Sliding Glass Pet Doors)

• Be sure to use heavy scissors for cutting core covers. If cutting a metal surface, be aware of sharp edges to

prevent injury.

• Please read all instructions fully prior to forming or modifying an opening in your selected door or wall.

• If the mounting surface (door, wall, etc.) is not level, the pet door must still be installed level to swing properly.

• When applying the cutting template, there should be a minimum of 7.5 centimetres between the bottom and

sides of the door and the outer edge of the template to maintain the structural integrity of the door.

• Make sure there is nothing underneath the door where you will be drilling the holes or cutting the opening.

Electronic Pet Doors and Cat Flaps

• There is a risk of explosion if a battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Do not short circuit, mix old and

new batteries, dispose of in fire or expose to water. When batteries are stored or disposed of, they must be

protected from shorting. Dispose of spent batteries correctly.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix standard, alkaline or rechargeable batteries.

• Do not use rechargeable batteries.

• Spent batteries should be removed immediately. Do not dispose of batteries with household waste.

Cat Corridor™ Interior Cat Door

• Do not allow your pet to chew on the front and back frames of the cat door.

Microchip Cat Flap

• We strongly recommend that you programme the microchip cat flap and check to make sure it works with the

microchip in your cat before installation.

• This unit only operates properly when outside temperatures are higher than -25°C (-13°F) and less than

55°C (131°F).

Patio Panels and Sliding Glass Pet Doors

• Use care when assembling the two halves of the door together. This could be a potential pinch point and could

lead to injury.

• Prior to installation and drilling, consult your sliding glass door manufacturer’s warranty. Unauthorised

changes or modifications may void the warranty. Installing screws into vinyl door frames or door jambs may

crack the vinyl.

• Apply glass sweep and weather stripping to a clean dry surface at temperatures above 63°F (17°C).

Wall Entry Pet Door

• Check for electrical/plumbing fixtures that could be in the wall where you wish to place the pet door.

• Make sure the support fits snugly and that it is not too long or too short. In either instance, damage to the wall

can occur.

• If inserting screws into vinyl siding, it may be necessary to drill a hole through the siding slightly larger than the

heads of the screws. This will allow the screws to tighten flush with plywood and not buckle the vinyl siding.

1. Terms of Use

The use of this product is subject to your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions and

notices contained with this product. Use of this product implies acceptance of all such terms, conditions

and notices. If you do not wish to accept these terms, conditions and notices, please return the product,

unused, in its original packaging and at your own cost and risk to the relevant Customer Care location,

together with proof of purchase for a full refund.

2. Proper Use

Proper Use includes, without limitation, reviewing the entire Product Manual and any specific safety

information statements. The specific temperament or size/weight of your pet may not be suitable for this

product. If you are unsure whether this product is appropriate for your pet, please consult your veterinary

surgeon or certified trainer prior to use. For products used with pets where training is desired, Radio

Systems Corporation recommends that these training products are not used if your pet is aggressive, and

the Company accepts no liability for determining suitability in individual cases.

3. No unlawful or prohibited use

This product is designed for use with pets only. This product is not intended to harm, injure or provoke.

Using this product in a way that is not intended could breach national or local laws.

4. Limitation of liability

In no event shall Radio Systems Corporation or any of its associated companies be liable for (i) any

direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special or consequential damage and/or (ii) any loss or damage

whatsoever arising out of or connected with the use or misuse of this product. The Purchaser assumes all

risks and liability regarding the use of this product to the fullest extent permissible by law.

5. Modification of terms and conditions

Radio Systems Corporation reserves the right to change the terms, conditions and notices governing this

product from time to time. If such changes have been notified to you prior to your use of this product, they

shall be binding on you as if incorporated herein.

Important Recycling Advice

• Les portes pour animaux PetSafe® sont adaptées à la plupart des types de porte, de mur ou de cloison, mais

du matériel supplémentaire peut s’avérer nécessaire. Ce produit est conçu pour votre confort et celui de votre

animal. Il est impossible de défendre totalement l’accès à tous les autres animaux en toutes circonstances.

Radio Systems Corporation n’assume pas la responsabilité des gênes ou dégâts causés par un animal

indésirable qui se serait introduit dans votre maison.

• Veillez à utiliser de grands ciseaux pour découper les protections principales. Lors de la découpe d’une surface

métallique, faites attention aux bords coupants pour éviter toute blessure.

• Merci de lire toutes les instructions intégralement avant de percer ou modifier une ouverture dans la porte

ou le mur de votre choix.

• Si la surface de montage (porte, mur, etc.) n’est pas plate, la porte pour animaux doit toutefois être installée

de façon droite pour balancer correctement.

• Lors de l’application du gabarit de découpe, vous devez laisser au moins 7,62 cm entre le bas et les côtés

de la porte et le bord extérieur du gabarit afin de préserver l’intégrité structurelle de la porte.

• Vérifiez qu’il n’y a rien en dessous de la porte à l’endroit où vous allez percer les trous ou découper l’ouverture.

Portes pour animaux et chatières électroniques

• Il existe un risque d’explosion si une pile est remplacée par un type de pile inapproprié. Ne court-circuitez pas

les piles, ne mélangez pas les anciennes avec les nouvelles, ne les jetez pas dans le feu ou ne les mettez pas

en contact avec de l’eau. Quand les piles sont stockées ou éliminées, elles doivent être protégées contre les

courts-circuits. Jetez les piles usagées de façon appropriée.

• N’utilisez pas à la fois des piles neuves et des piles usagées.

• N’utilisez pas à la fois des piles alcalines, standard et des piles rechargeables.

• N’utilisez pas de piles rechargeables.

• Les piles déchargées doivent être immédiatement retirées. Ne jetez pas les piles avec les ordures ménagères.

Chatière d’intérieur Cat Corridor™

• Ne laissez pas votre animal mordre les cadres avant et arrière de la chatière.

Chatière à micropuce

• Il est fortement recommandé de programmer la chatière à micropuce pour votre chat et d’effectuer un test de

fonctionnement avec la puce électronique de votre chat avant l’installation.

• Cet appareil ne peut fonctionner correctement qu’à condition d’être exposé à des températures extérieures

supérieures à -25 °C et inférieures à 55 °C.

Panneaux pour patio et portes vitrées coulissantes pour animaux

• Fixez délicatement les deux moitiés de la porte ensemble. Vous risquez de vous pincer et de vous blesser.

• Avant de procéder à l’installation et au perçage, consultez la garantie fabricant de votre porte vitrée

coulissante. Des changements ou modifications non approuvés peuvent annuler la garantie. Si vous serrez des

vis dans des cadres ou montants de porte en vinyle, vous risquez de fendre le vinyle.

• Placez le panneau en verre et le joint isolant sur une surface propre et sèche à des températures supérieures

à 17°C.

Porte de entrée murale pour animaux de compagnie

• Assurez-vous de l’absence d’installations de plomberie ou d’installations électriques dans la section du mur où

vous souhaitez installer la chatière.

• Veillez à ce que le support s’encastre parfaitement et ne soit ni trop long, ni trop court. Dans les deux cas, le

mur pourrait être endommagé.

• Si les vis doivent traverser un parement de vinyle, il peut être nécessaire de percer un trou légèrement plus

grand que la tête des vis dans le parement. Ceci permettra aux vis d’être bien serrées contre le contreplaqué et

de ne pas déformer le parement de vinyle.

et consignes d’utilisation, veuillez renvoyer ce produit inutilisé dans son emballage d’origine à vos frais et

risques, au service clientèle approprié avec la preuve d’achat, afin d’obtenir un remboursement complet.

2. Utilisation appropriée

Une utilisation appropriée implique, sans s’y limiter, la consultation de l’intégralité du manuel d’utilisation

du produit et de toutes les informations spécifiques relatives à la sécurité. Le caractère ou la taille/le

poids spécifiques de votre animal ne sont peut-être pas adaptés à ce produit. Si vous n’êtes pas sûr(e) que

ce produit est adapté à votre animal de compagnie, veuillez consulter votre vétérinaire ou un éducateur

canin certifié avant utilisation. Pour les produits utilisés sur des animaux nécessitant un dressage, Radio

Systems Corporation recommande de ne pas les utiliser si votre animal est agressif et ne saurait être tenu

pour responsable de leur éventuelle inadéquation selon les cas.

3. Usage illégal ou interdit

Ce produit a été conçu pour les animaux de compagnie uniquement. Ce produit n’est pas destiné à les

blesser ni à les provocarlos. L’usage de ce produit dans un but autre que celui prévu pourrait entraîner des

infractions à la législation nationale.

4. Limitation de responsabilité

Radio Systems Corporation et ses sociétés affiliées ne peuvent en aucun cas être tenus pour responsables

Alle huisdierluiken en kattenluiken

• Als er kinderen in huis aanwezig zijn, dient u rekening te houden met het huisdierluik wanneer u het huis

kindveilig maakt. Het huisdierluik kan mogelijk door kinderen worden gebruikt, waardoor ze worden

blootgesteld aan gevaren aan de andere kant van het luik. Eigenaren met een zwembad dienen ervoor

te zorgen dat kinderen te allen tijde in de gaten worden gehouden en dat de toegang tot het zwembad is

voorzien van een geschikte afsluiting. Als er in of buiten uw huis een nieuwe gevaarlijke situatie ontstaat die

toegankelijk is via het huisdierluik, beveelt Radio Systems Corporation u aan de toegang tot die gevaarlijke

situatie te bewaken of het huisdierluik te verwijderen. Het sluitpaneel of slot, indien van toepassing, wordt

Raadpleeg een professionele glaszetter of glasfabrikant als u het huisdierluik in een glazen deur of raam wilt

installeren.

• Zorg dat u de klep ZACHTJES op de rug van uw huisdier laat zakken terwijl u uw huisdier traint. Voorkom

mogelijk letsel door ervoor te zorgen dat uw huisdier helemaal, inclusief poten en staart, door de opening

van het huisdierluik is gelopen voordat u de klep loslaat.

Wall Entry Pet Door

• Check for electrical/plumbing fixtures that could be in the wall where you wish to place the pet door.

• Make sure the support fits snugly and that it is not too long or too short. In either instance, damage to the wall

can occur.

• If inserting screws into vinyl siding, it may be necessary to drill a hole through the siding slightly larger than the

heads of the screws. This will allow the screws to tighten flush with plywood and not buckle the vinyl siding.

• No utilice baterías recargables.

• Las pilas agotadas deben retirarse inmediatamente. No tire las pilas a la basura.
