WARNUNG
Aus Sicherheits- und Zulassungsgründen (CE) ist das eigenmächtige Umbauen und/oder Verändern
des Gerätes nicht gestattet. Um einen sicheren Betrieb mit dem Gerät zu gewährleisten, müssen Sie
die Sicherheitshinweise, Warnvermerke und das Kapitel „Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung“
unbedingt beachten.
WARNUNG
Beachten Sie vor dem Gebrauch des Gerätes bitte folgende Hinweise:
| Vermeiden Sie einen Betrieb des Gerätes in der Nähe von elektrischen Schweißgeräten,
Induktionsheizern und anderen elektromagnetischen Feldern.
| Nach abrupten Temperaturwechseln muss das Gerät vor dem Gebrauch zur Stabilisierung
ca. 30 Minuten an die neue Umgebungstemperatur angepasst werden um den IR-Sensor zu
stabilisieren.
| Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht längere Zeit hohen Temperaturen aus.
| Vermeiden Sie staubige und feuchte Umgebungsbedingungen.
| Messgeräte und Zubehör sind kein Spielzeug und gehören nicht in Kinderhände!
| In gewerblichen Einrichtungen sind die Unfallverhütungsvorschriften des Verbandes der
gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften für elektrische Anlagen und Betriebsmittel zu beachten.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Gerät ist nur für die in der Bedienungsanleitung beschriebenen Anwendungen bestimmt. Eine andere
Verwendung ist unzulässig und kann zu Unfällen oder Zerstörung des Gerätes führen. Diese Anwendungen führen
zu einem sofortigen Erlöschen jeglicher Garantie- und Gewährleistungsansprüche des Bedieners gegenüber dem
Hersteller.
Um das Gerät vor Beschädigung zu schützen, entfernen Sie bitte bei längerem
Nichtgebrauch des Gerätes die Batterien.
Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder
Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise verursacht werden, übernehmen wir keine Haftung.
In solchen Fällen erlischt jeder Garantieanspruch. Ein in einem Dreieck befindliches

Entsorgung
Sehr geehrter Testboy-Kunde, mit dem Erwerb unseres Produktes haben Sie die Möglichkeit, das Gerät nach
Ende seines Lebenszyklus an geeignete Sammelstellen für Elektroschrott zurückzugeben.
Die WEEE regelt die Rücknahme und das Recycling von Elektroaltgeräten. Hersteller von
Elektrogeräten sind dazu verpflichtet, Elektrogeräte, die verkauft werden, kostenfrei
zurückzunehmen und zu recyceln. Elektrogeräte dürfen dann nicht mehr in die „normalen“
Abfallströme eingebracht werden. Elektrogeräte sind separat zu recyceln und zu
entsorgen. Alle Geräte, die unter diese Richtlinie fallen, sind mit diesem Logo
gekennzeichnet.

Bedienung
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für den Testboy® TV 700 entschieden haben.
Der Scanner ist für die Ortung von Metall, Holz und unter Spannung stehenden Leitungen in Wänden, Decken und
Böden bestimmt. Entwickelt für den professionellen Einsatz in Installationsbetrieben und auch beim Heimwerkbedarf
kaum weg zu denken. Das Gerät ist mit einem informativen LC-Display, mit Anzeige in Zentimetern, Balkenanzeige und
Fadenkreuz ausgestatet. Zusätzlich befindet sich im oberen Teil eine Ampelanzeige. Begleitet wird die Messung mit
einem akustischen Signalgeber.
WARNUNG
Das Testboy® TV 700 kann keine hundertprozentige Sicherheit garantieren. Die Messergebnisse
können durch verschiedene Einflussgrößen wie: Putzkonsistenz, Feuchtigkeit, statische Aufladung der
Oberfläche, Metallpartikel im Material oder Kalibrierabweichungen beeinflusst werden. Bitte sichern Sie
sich jedes Mal vor dem Bohren durch andere Informationsträger ab (Baupläne, Statiken,
Stromlaufpläne, etc.).

Ein- / Ausschalten
Zum Ein- / Ausschalten des Gerätes drücken Sie Taste 5.
Nach dem Einschalten ist automatisch die Metallsuche aktiviert.
Das TV 700 schaltet nach ca. 5 Minuten selbstständig aus, um Batteriekapazität zu sparen.
Hintergrundbeleuchtung
Die Displayhintergrundbeleuchtung ist dauerhaft gegeben.
Batteriewechsel
Zum Wechsel der Batterie ist das Batteriefach (12) zu öffnen. Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der neuen Batterie auf
die richtige Polarität. Verschliessen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.
Ersetzen Sie die Batterie, wenn im Display das Batteriesymbol ohne Segmente angezeigt wird oder sich das Gerät
gleich nach dem Einschalten ausgeht.
Batterien gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Auch in Ihrer Nähe befindet sich eine Sammelstelle!
Um das Gerät vor Beschädigung zu schützen, entfernen Sie bitte bei längerem
Nichtgebrauch des Gerätes die Batterien.
Kalibrierung
Halten Sie das TV 700 in die Luft, entfernt von allen Gegenständen die detektiert werden könnten. Durch kurze
Betätigung des Einschalttasters wird das Gerät aktiviert. Bitte tragen Sie an der bedienenden Hand keine Ringe
und legen Sie ggf. Armbanduhr ab, da metalische Gegenstände das Suchergebnis beeinflussen können.
Vor jeder Benutzung muss das Gerät auf Beschädigungen oder Verschmutzungen
untersucht werden.
Selbstkalibrierung
Die Selbstkalibrierung erfolgt direkt nach Einschalten des Gerätes oder Umschalten der Messfunktion. Dies wird
durch einen Quittierungston und Aufleuchten der grünen LED bestätigt. Für die maximale Empfindlichkeit wird
empfohlen, das Gerät beim Einschalten fernab von metallischen und magnetischen Störgrößen in die Luft
zuhalten.
Nachkalibrierung
Dazu drücken Sie die Taste [6] oder [7] (im eingeschalteten Zustand) für 3 Sekunden, je nach ausgewählten
Bereich. Die Nachkalibrierung wird immer dann empfohlen, wenn das Gerät überempfindlich reagiert. Dies sollte
am Besten an einer freien Stelle der Wand erfolgen, fernab von metallischen und magnetischen Störgrößen.
Für die Eingrenzung, muss die Nachkalibrierung mehrmals in unmittelbarer Nähe des Messobjektes durch
mehrmaliges Überfahren erfolgen.

Auffinden von Metall
Nach der Aktivierung ertönt ein Bestätigungssignal und die grüne LED leuchtet. Das Gerät befindet sich
standardmäßig in Metallsuchmodus.
Nun kann das Gerät, wo die Bearbeitung (Bohrung) der Wand erfolgen soll, horizontal oder vertikal, durch
langsames hin und her Bewegen geführt werden.
Nähert sich das Gerät einem Metallobjekt, so steigt die Höhe der Balkenanzeige. Gleichzeitig wechselt die
Ampelanzeige mit wachsender Annäherung von grün nach gelb, dann auf rot und es ertönt ein akustisches Signal.
Befinden sich metallische Gegenstände in Reichweite des Sensors, so wird auch die Entfernung zum Objekt
angezeigt. Bei der kürzesten Entfernung kann eine Markierung an die Wand gesetzt werden. Nun wiederholt man
den Vorgang in entgegengesetzter Richtung, und setzt wieder eine Markierung bei kleinster Entfernung. Die Breite
variiert je nach Tiefe und Masse des Objektes. Beim Erscheinen des Fadenkreuzes befindet sich das Objekt genau
unter dem Sensor.
Bei ferromagnetischen Materialien erscheint im Display ein Hufeisen Zeichen. Bei Buntmetallen ist das Hufeisen
durchgestrichen.
Das Gerät nimmt zur Bestimmung der Mitte des zu suchenden Gegenstands als Referenz eine Eisenstange d=18 mm.
Nähert sich das Gerät einer spannungsführenden Leitung, fängt die rote LED an zu blinken und es ertönt ein
alternierender Warnton.
Auffinden von Holz
Nach der Aktivierung ertönt ein Bestätigungssignal und die grüne LED leuchtet. Das Gerät befindet sich
standardmäßig im Metallsuchmodus, durch Betätigung der Taste für Holz schaltet sich das Gerät in
Holzsuchmodus.
Nun setzen Sie das TV 700 auf einen Bereich der Wand, in dem wissentlich keine Holzteile vorhanden sind.
Danach das Gerät im zur Bearbeitung (Bohrung) vorgesehenen Bereich mit horizontalen oder vertikalen
Bewegungen langsam hin und her bewegen.
Nähert sich das Gerät einem Holzobjekt, steigt die Höhe der Balkenanzeige. Gleichzeitig wechselt die
Ampelanzeige mit wachsender Annäherung von grün nach gelb, dann auf rot und es ertönt ein akustisches Signal.
Befinden sich Holzgegenstände in Reichweite des Sensors, so wird auch die Entfernung zum Objekt angezeigt.
Bei der kürzesten Entfernung kann eine Markierung an die Wand gesetzt werden. Nun wiederholt man den
Vorgang in entgegengesetzter Richtung und setzt wieder eine Markierung bei der kleinsten Entfernung. Die Breite
variiert je nach Tiefe und Masse des Objektes.
Beim Erscheinen des Fadenkreuzes befindet sich das Objekt genau unter dem Sensor.
Die Holzkonstruktionen können nicht unter keramischen Oberflächen (Fliesen),
Teppichböden (mit gepolsterter Rückseite), Tapeten mit Metallfasern oder Metallfolie, sowie
in feuchten Wänden aufgefunden werden.
Auffinden von spannungsführenden Leitungen
Nach der Aktivierung ertönt ein Bestätigungssignal und die grüne LED leuchtet. Das Gerät befindet sich
standardmäßig im Metallsuchmodus, durch Betätigung der Taste für Metall schaltet sich das Gerät in
Spannungssuchmodus.
Es können keine abgeschirmten Leitungen mit Wechselspannung 110-230 V AC 50-60 Hz
geortet werden.

Statische Aufladung an den Wänden oder parallel zu spannungsführenden Leitungen
verlaufenden Wasserrohren, können dazu führen, dass Ihnen die Leitungen unpräzise, über
eine große Fläche, angezeigt werden. Um die Anzeige zu verbessern, legen Sie Ihre freie
Hand neben dem Messwerkzeug flach auf die Wand, um die statische Elektrizität abzubauen.
Nun setzen Sie das TV 700 an einen Bereich, in dem sich keine spannungsführenden Leitungen befinden und
bewegen Sie es mit horizontalen oder vertikalen Bewegungen langsam hin und her.
Nähert sich der TV 700 einer spannungsführenden Leitung unter einer metallfreien Oberfläche, steigt die Höhe der
Balkenanzeige und gleichzeitig wechselt die Ampelanzeige mit wachsender Annäherung von grün nach gelb, dann
auf rot blinkend und es ertönt ein alternierender Warnton. Bei der kürzesten Entfernung kann eine Markierung an
die Wand gesetzt werden. Nun wiederholt man den Vorgang jetzt in entgegengesetzter Richtung und setzt wieder
eine Markierung bei der kürzester Entfernung. Die Breite variiert je nach Tiefe und Masse des Objektes.
Beim Erscheinen des Fadenkreuzes befindet sich das Objekt genau unter dem Sensor.

Safety notes
WARNING
Unauthorised modification and/or changes to the instrument are not permitted, for reasons of safety
and approval (CE). In order to ensure safe and reliable operation using the instrument, you must
always observe the safety instructions, warnings and the information contained in the section
“Intended use”.
WARNING
Please observe the following information before using the instrument:
| Do not operate the instrument anywhere near electrical welders, induction heaters or other
electromagnetic fields.
| After abrupt temperature fluctuations, the instrument must be allowed to adjust to the new ambient
temperature for approx. 30 minutes before using it, in order to stabilise the IR sensor.
| Do not expose the instrument to high temperatures for a long period of time.
| Avoid dusty and humid environments.
| Measuring instruments and their accessories are not toys, and must be kept out of the reach of
children!
| In industrial facilities, the accident prevention regulations for electrical systems and equipment,
established by the employer's liability insurance association, must be observed.
Intended use
The instrument is intended strictly for use in applications described in the operating instructions. Any other usage is
considered improper and forbidden, and can result in accidents or the destruction of the instrument. Any such
application will result in the immediate expiry of all guarantee and warranty claims on the part of the operator
against the manufacturer.
Remove the batteries if the instrument is not in use for a long period of time, in order to
protect the instrument from damage.
We assume no liability for damages to property or personal injury caused by improper
handling or failure to observe the safety instructions. Any warranty claim expires in such
cases. An exclamation mark in a triangle indicates safety notices in the operating instructions.
Read the instructions completely before beginning the initial commissioning. This instrument
is CE-approved and thus fulfils the required guidelines.

appliances free of charge. Electrical devices may then no longer be disposed of through
conventional waste disposal channels. Electrical appliances must be recycled and
disposed of separately. All equipment subject to this directive is marked with this logo.
Disposal of used batteries
As an end user, you are legally obliged (battery law) to return all used batteries; disposal
with normal domestic waste is prohibited!
Batteries containing contaminant material are labelled with adjacent symbols indicating the
prohibition of disposal with normal domestic waste.
The abbreviations used for the respective heavy metals are:

Operation
Thank you for purchasing the Testboy® TV 700.
The scanner is specifically for locating metal, wood and live wires in walls, ceilings and floors. Developed for
professional application in installation firms and, for do-it-yourself requirements, also barely imaginable not to be
included. The instrument has an informative LC display, with indication in centimetres, bar display and crosshair.
There is also a traffic light indication in the top part. The measurement is accompanied by an acoustic signal encoder.
WARNING
The Testboy® TV 700 cannot ensure one hundred percent reliability. The measurement results can be
influenced by different variables, such as: Consistency of the plaster, moisture, static charging of the
surface, metal particles in the material or calibration deviations. Before drilling each time, make sure by
using other sources of information (building plans, statics, circuit diagrams etc.).

On / off switch
To switch the instrument On / Off, press the button 5.
After switching on, locating metal is automatically activated.
The TV 700 automatically switches off after approx. 5 minutes, in order to save the battery capacity.
Backlighting
The display backlighting is permanent.
Replacing the battery
To replace the battery, open the battery compartment (12). When inserting the new battery, ensure that the polarity
is correct. Close the battery compartment.
Replace the battery when the battery symbol is displayed without segments on the display, or the instrument
switches off immediately after switching on.
Batteries must not be disposed of with normal domestic waste. There will be a collection point
near you!
Remove the batteries if the instrument is not in use for a long period of time, in order to
protect the instrument from damage.
Calibration
Hold the TV 700 in the air remote from all objects that could be detected. The instrument is activated by briefly
pressing the On/Off button. Do not wear a ring on the hand carrying the instrument and remove wristwatches,
because metallic objects can influence the search result.
Before using each time, the instrument must be examined for signs of damage or
contamination.
Self-calibration
The self-calibration is carried out directly after switching on the instrument or switching the measuring function.
This is confirmed by an acknowledgement sound and the green LED illuminating. For the maximum sensitivity, it is
recommended to keep the instrument away from metallic and magnetic disruptive variables in the air.
Recalibration
For this, press the button [6] or [7] (when switched on) for 3 seconds, depending on the range selected.
Recalibration is always recommended if the instrument responds oversensitively. This is best carried out at a free
position of the wall, well away from metallic and magnetic disruptive variables.
For limiting, recalibration must be carried out several times in the immediate vicinity to the measurement object by
moving over the area several times.

Locating metal
After activating, a confirmation signal sounds and the green LED illuminates. As standard, the instrument is in the
metal locating mode.
The instrument can now be slowly guided horizontally or vertically over the wall in the area where the work (drilling)
on the wall is to be carried out.
If the instrument approaches a metallic object, the height of the bar display increases. Simultaneously, the traffic
light changes from green to yellow as the object is approached, then to red and an acoustic signal sounds. If there
are metallic objects in the range of the sensor, the distance to the object is also indicated. A mark can be made on
the wall at the point of the shortest distance. Now the procedure is repeated in the opposite direction and a mark is
set at the shortest distance. The width varies, depending on the depth and mass of the object. When the crosshair
appears, the object is exactly below the sensor. For ferromagnetic materials, a horseshoe sign appears on the
display. For non-ferrous metals, the horseshoe is crossed out.
To determine the centre of the object to be located, the instrument takes an iron bar of d=18 mm as reference.
If the instrument approaches a live wire, the red LED starts to flash and an alternating warning tone sounds.
Locating wood
After activating, a confirmation signal sounds and the green LED illuminates. As standard, the instrument is in
metal search mode. By activating the button for wood, the instrument switches to the wood locating mode.
Now place the TV 700 on an area of the wall in which wood is known to be present. Subsequently, slowly guide
over the wall horizontally or vertically in the area where the work (drilling) on the wall is to be carried out.
If the instrument approaches a wooden object, the height of the bar display increases. Simultaneously, the traffic
light changes from green to yellow as the object is approached, then to red and an acoustic signal sounds. If there

Locating live wires
After activating, a confirmation signal sounds and the green LED illuminates. As standard, the instrument is in

Wires carrying 110 - 230 V AC 50-60 Hz that are screened cannot be located.
Static charging on the walls or water pipes running parallel to live wires could result in
imprecise indication of the wires across a large area. In order to improve the indication, place
your free hand flat on the wall adjacent to the measuring tool to relieve the static electricity.
Now place the TV 700 on an area, in which no live wires are present and guide over the wall horizontally or vertically.
If the TV 700 approaches a live wire below a non-metallized surface, the height of the bar display increases and,
simultaneously, when approaching the object, the traffic light changes from green to yellow, then to flashing red
and an alternating warning tone sounds. A mark can be made on the wall at the point of the shortest distance.

Nous vous remercions d'avoir acheté notre Testboy® TV 700.
Le scanner est destiné à la localisation de métal, de bois et de conduites sous tension dans les murs, les plafonds et les
sols. Il a été développé pour une utilisation professionnelle dans des entreprises d’installation et même les bricoleurs ne
peuvent plus s’en passer. L’appareil est équipé d’un écran LC avec des informations indiquant les affichages en
centimètres et sous forme de barres et de cible. Le haut de l’appareil dispose également d’un affichage lumineux.
La mesure est accompagnée d’un signal acoustique.

Mise en marche / à l'arrêt
Pour mettre l’appareil en marche / à l’arrêt, appuyer sur la touche 5.
La détection de métal est activée aussitôt après la mise en marche.
Le TV 700 s’éteint automatiquement après env. 5 minutes pour économiser la batterie.
Rétroéclairage
Le rétroéclairage de l'écran est permanent.
Remplacement des piles
Pour remplacer la pile, ouvrir le compartiment à piles (12) Veiller à la polarité des piles lors de la mise en place de
la nouvelle pile. Refermer le compartiment à piles.
Remplacer la pile dès que le symbole de pile est affiché sans barre ou si l’appareil s’éteint aussitôt après sa mise
en marche.
Les piles ne peuvent pas être jetées dans les ordures ménagères. Vous trouverez un centre
de collecte proche de chez vous !
Afin de protéger l'appareil contre d'éventuels dommages, retirez la pile en cas de non-
utilisation prolongée.
Calibrage
Maintenir le TV 700 en l’air, éloigné de tous les objets pouvant être détectés. Activer l’appareil par un appui court
sur le bouton Marche. Ne pas porter de bagues ni de montre à la main de commande car les objets métalliques
peuvent influencer le résultat de la détection.
Contrôler l’absence de dommages et d’impuretés sur l’appareil avant chaque utilisation.
Autocalibrage
L’autocalibrage est réalisé aussitôt après la mise en marche de l’appareil ou la commutation de la fonction de
mesure. Cet autocalibrage est validé par un son de confirmation et l’allumage de la LED verte. Nous vous
conseillons de maintenir l’appareil en l’air et éloigné des éléments métalliques et magnétiques perturbants
à la mise en marche pour obtenir une bonne sensibilité.
Calibrage ultérieur
Appuyer sur la touche [6] ou [7] (appareil en marche) pendant 3 secondes, selon la zone sélectionnée.
Le calibrage ultérieur est conseillé si l’appareil réagit avec une trop grande sensibilité. Le réaliser de préférence au
mur, à un emplacement libre, éloigné des éléments métalliques et magnétiques perturbants.
Pour le délimiter, réaliser le calibrage ultérieur à proximité immédiate de l’objet à mesurer en le survolant plusieurs
fois.

Déplacer alors lentement l’appareil sur la zone où le traitement (perçage) doit avoir lieu, à l’horizontale ou à la
verticale, plusieurs fois.
Lorsque l’appareil approche un objet en métal, l’affichage en barres augmente. L’affichage lumineux passe en
même temps du vert au jaune, suivant la proximité, puis sur rouge, un signal sonore retentit alors. Si un objet
métallique se trouve à proximité du capteur, la distance entre le capteur et l’objet est affichée également. Marquer
un repère sur le mur à la distance la plus courte. Répéter la procédure dans la direction opposée et marquer de
nouveau un repère à la distance la plus faible. La largeur varie en fonction de la profondeur et de la taille de l’objet.
La cible apparaît lorsque l’objet est précisément sous le capteur.
En cas de matériau ferromagnétique, un fer à cheval apparaît à l’écran. En cas de métal lourd non ferreux, le fer
à cheval est barré.
L’appareil utilise une barre de fer d=18 mm pour déterminer le centre de l’objet à détecter.
Lorsque l’appareil est approché d’une conduite sous tension, la LED rouge commence à clignoter et un signal
d’avertissement retentit.
Détection de bois
Une fois activé, l’appareil émet un signal de confirmation et la LED verte s’allume. L’appareil est par défaut en
mode détection de métal, actionner la touche pour le bois pour passer l’appareil en mode détection de bois.

Des constructions en bois peuvent être cachées sous des surfaces céramiques (faïence),
des moquettes (à dos capitonné), des papiers peints à fibres métalliques ou des films
métalliques, ainsi que dans des murs humides.
Détection de conduites sous tension
Une fois activé, l’appareil émet un signal de confirmation et la LED verte s’allume. L’appareil est par défaut en
mode détection de métal, actionner la touche pour le métal pour passer l’appareil en mode détection de tension.
L’appareil peut localiser des câbles blindés de courant alternatif 110 - 230 V CA 50 - 60 Hz.
La charge statique sur les murs ou des tuyaux d’eau à la parallèle de conduites sous tension
peut générer un affichage approximatif des conduites sur une grande surface. Pour améliorer
l’affichage, poser la main libre à plat sur le mur, à côté de l’outil de mesure, pour décharger
l’électricité statique.
Appliquer le TV 700 sur une zone ne contenant pas de conduites sou tension et le déplacer lentement avoir lieu,
à l’horizontale ou à la verticale, plusieurs fois.

seguro del instrumento, es imprescindible cumplir las indicaciones de seguridad, las notas de
advertencia y el capítulo “Uso previsto”.
ADVERTENCIA
Antes de usar el instrumento, tenga en cuenta las siguientes indicaciones:
| Evite el uso del instrumento en las inmediaciones de aparatos eléctricos para soldar, fogones de
inducción y otros campos electromagnéticos.
| Después de cambios de temperatura bruscos, antes de usar el instrumento deberá aclimatarse durante

Manejo

El escáner está destinado a la localización de metal, madera y conductos con tensión debajo de paredes, techos
y suelos. Desarrollado para el uso profesional en empresas de instalación e imprescindible también en el hogar.
El instrumento está equipado con una pantalla LC informativa con indicación en centímetros, indicación de barras
y retículo. Además, en la parte superior tiene un indicador semáforo. La medición se hace también con un emisor de
señales acústicas.
ADVERTENCIA
El Testboy® TV 700 no puede garantizar una seguridad al cien por cien. Los resultados de la medición

Conectar/Desconectar
Para conectar/desconectar el instrumento pulse la tecla 5.
Al conectar estará activa automáticamente la localización de metal.
El TV 700 se desconecta automáticamente a los 5 minutos para ahorrar batería.
Iluminación de fondo
La iluminación de fondo de la pantalla es continua.
Cambiar pila
Para cambiar la pila se debe abrir el compartimento para pilas (12). Al colocar la pila nueva, preste atención a que
los polos estén correctamente posicionados. Vuelva a cerrar el compartimento para pilas.
Sustituya la pila cuando el símbolo de pila en la pantalla aparezca sin segmentos o cuando el instrumento se
apague directamente después de conectarlo.
Las pilas no deben desecharse en la basura doméstica. ¡Acuda al punto de recogida más
cercano a usted!
Para proteger el instrumento frente a daños, extraiga las pilas cuando el instrumento no se
vaya a utilizar durante un periodo de tiempo prolongado.
Calibración
Mantenga el TV 700 en el aire, alejado de todos los objetos que puedan ser detectados. El instrumento se activa
pulsando brevemente la tecla de conexión. No lleve anillos ni pulseras en la mano con la que sujeta el instrumento
ya que los objetos metálicos pueden influir el resultado de la búsqueda.
Antes de cada uso se debe examinar el instrumento para ver si está deteriorado o sucio.
Calibración automática
La calibración automática se realiza directamente después de conectar el instrumento o cambiar la función de
medición. Se señaliza mediante un sonido de confirmación y la iluminación del LED verde. Para obtener la máxima
sensibilidad se recomienda mantener el instrumento en el aire al conectarlo, alejado de perturbaciones metálicas
o magnéticas.
Calibración posterior
Pulse la tecla [6] o [7] (con el instrumento encendido) durante 3 segundos según el área seleccionada.
Se recomienda la calibración posterior cuando el instrumento reaccione de forma excesiva. Esto deberá realizarse

Localizar metal
Al activar el instrumento suena una señal de confirmación y el LED verde se enciende. De forma estándar el
instrumento se enciende en el modo de localización de metal.
Ahora se puede pasar el instrumento, moviéndolo lentamente en horizontal o en vertical, por el lugar donde se
prevé trabajar (perforación) en la pared.
Si el objeto se acerca a un objeto de metal, la indicación de barras sube. Al mismo tiempo cambia la indicación de
semáforo de verde a amarillo, después a rojo, cuanto más se acerca a la fuente, y suena una señal acústica.
Si hay objetos metálicos en el área de alcance del sensor, se mostrará también la distancia al objeto. Se puede
realizar una marca en la pared de la distancia más corta. Ahora se repite el proceso en sentido inverso y se vuelve
a realizar una marca de la distancia más corta. El ancho varía según la profundidad y las dimensiones del objeto.
Si aparece el retículo, el objeto se encuentra directamente debajo del sensor.
Con materiales ferromagnéticos aparece un símbolo de herradura en la pantalla. Con metales no ferrosos la
herradura aparece tachada.
Para determinar el centro del objeto buscado, el instrumento toma como referencia una barra de hierro de d=18 mm.
Si el instrumento se aproxima a un conducto con tensión, el LED rojo empieza a parpadear y suena una señal de
aviso intermitente.
Localizar madera
Al activar el instrumento suena una señal de confirmación y el LED verde se enciende. De forma estándar el
instrumento está en modo de localización de metal. Pulsando la tecla para madera el instrumento pasa al modo de
localización de madera.
Coloque ahora el TV 700 en un área de la pared donde sepa que no hay madera.
Pase después lentamente el instrumento por el área de trabajo prevista (perforación) realizando movimientos
horizontales o verticales.
Si el objeto se acerca a un objeto de madera, la indicación de barras sube. Al mismo tiempo cambia la indicación
de semáforo de verde a amarillo, después a rojo, cuanto más se acerca a la fuente, y suena una señal acústica.
Si hay objetos de madera en el área de alcance del sensor, se mostrará también la distancia al objeto. Se puede

Las construcciones de madera no se pueden localizar debajo de superficies cerámicas
(azulejos), moquetas (con parte posterior acolchada), papel de pared con fibra metálica
o láminas metálicas, ni tampoco en paredes húmedas.
Localizar conductos con tensión
Al activar el instrumento suena una señal de confirmación y el LED verde se enciende. De forma estándar el
instrumento está en modo de localización de metal. Pulsando la tecla para metal el instrumento pasa al modo de
localización de tensión.
No se pueden localizar cables apantallados con tensión alterna de 110 - 230 V CA 50-60 Hz.
Una carga estática en las paredes o tuberías de agua en paralelo a los conductos con
tensión pueden hacer que los cables se muestren con poca precisión y sobre una superficie
grande. Para mejorar la indicación, coloque la mano libre junto a la herramienta de medición
con la palma sobre la pared para eliminar la electricidad estática.

Coloque ahora el TV 700 sobre un área en la que no haya conductos con tensión y muévalo lentamente en
horizontal o vertical.

arbitrarie dello strumento. Per garantire un funzionamento sicuro dello strumento è assolutamente
necessario osservare le avvertenze di sicurezza, i simboli di pericolo e il capitolo “Uso regolamentare”.
AVVERTENZA
Prima di utilizzare lo strumento, si prega di osservare le seguenti avvertenze:
| Evitare di usare lo strumento nelle vicinanze di saldatrici elettriche, impianti di riscaldamento a
induzione e altri campi elettromagnetici.
| In caso di bruschi cambi di temperatura, prima di utilizzare lo strumento occorre stabilizzarlo per
circa 30 minuti alla nuova temperatura ambiente, per condizionare il sensore IR.

Vi ringraziamo per aver acquistato lo strumento Testboy® TV 700.
Lo scanner è destinato alla localizzazione di metallo, legno e cavi sotto tensione all’interno di pareti, soffitti e pavimenti.
Sviluppato per l’impiego professionale nel settore delle installazioni, è uno strumento diventato ormai indispensabile
anche in quello dell’artigianato e dell’hobbistica. Lo strumento è equipaggiato con un display LCD informativo con
indicazione in centimetri, barra percentuale e croce di collimazione. Inoltre, nella parte superiore si trovano tre icone
a forma di semaforo. La misura viene accompagnata da un segnale acustico.
AVVERTENZA
Lo strumento Testboy® TV 700 non è in grado di fornire una sicurezza al 100 %. I risultati della misura
possono essere influenzati da vari fattori come ad es.: consistenza dell’intonaco, umidità, carica
elettrostatica della superficie, particelle di metallo nel materiale o scostamenti dalla taratura originale.
Prima di praticare un foro, fare ulteriori accertamenti utilizzando anche altre fonti di informazione

Accensione / Spegnimento
Per accendere/spegnere lo strumento, premere il tasto 5.
All’accensione dello strumento è impostata di default la localizzazione di metalli.
Per risparmiare energia, lo strumento TV 700 si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 5 minuti.
Retroilluminazione
La retroilluminazione del display è permanente.
Sostituzione della batteria
Per sostituire la batteria, aprire il vano batterie (12). Durante l'inserimento della batteria nuova, rispettare la corretta
polarità. Chiudere nuovamente il vano batterie.
La batteria deve essere sostituita quando l’icona della batteria sul display compare senza segmenti o quando lo
strumento si spegne subito dopo essere stato acceso.
Le batterie non possono essere smaltite insieme ai rifiuti domestici. Un centro di raccolta
batterie usate è sicuramente presente anche nelle vostre vicinanze!
Se lo strumento non viene utilizzato per un lungo periodo di tempo, rimuovere le batterie per
proteggerlo da eventuali danni.
Taratura
Tenere lo strumento TV 700 sollevato in aria, lontano da eventuali oggetti che potrebbero essere rilevati. Premere
brevemente il tasto ON/OFF per attivare lo strumento. La mano che tiene lo strumento non deve avere nessun
anello e al braccio non deve essere presente nessun orologio da polso, perché gli oggetti metallici possono
alterare il risultato della misura.
Prima di ogni utilizzo, controllare se lo strumento è danneggiato o sporco.
Autotaratura
La funzione di autotaratura si attiva ogni volta che viene acceso lo strumento o quando si passa da una funzione di
misura all’altra. L’attivazione della funzione viene confermata da un segnale acustico e dall’accensione del LED
verde. Per garantire la massima sensibilità possibile dello strumento, all’atto dell’accensione si consiglia di tenerlo
sollevato in aria, lontano da oggetti metallici e magnetici.
Taratura successiva
Con strumento accenso, premere per 3 secondi il tasto [6] o [7], a seconda della fascia impostata. Una taratura
successiva è consigliata quando lo strumento reagisce in modo ipersensibile. Questa operazione dovrebbe
svolgersi in un punto libero della parete, lontano da oggetti magnetici e metallici.
Ai fini della delimitazione, la taratura successiva deve avvenire più volte in prossimità dell’oggetto da misurare
tramite ripetuti passaggi.
Uso
36 Testboy® TV 700
Localizzazione di metalli
Dopo aver acceso lo strumento, viene prodotto un segnale acustico e si accende il LED verde. Di default lo
strumento si trova in modalità localizzazione metalli.
A questo punto, lo strumento può essere passato lentamente in direzione orizzontale o verticale sul punto della
parete in cui dovrà essere praticato il foro (con il trapano).
Quando lo strumento si avvicina a un oggetto metallico, aumenta la barra percentuale sul display. Man mano che
si riduce la distanza dello strumento dall’oggetto, il semaforo superiore passa da verde a gallo e quindi a rosso,
quando viene prodotto un segnale acustico. Se l’oggetto metallico si trova nel raggio di portata del sensore, sul
display viene visualizzata anche la distanza dall’oggetto. Alla distanza più breve viene tracciato un punto sulla
parete. A questo punto si ripete la procedura dal lato opposto e si traccia un altro punto alla distanza più breve.
La larghezza varia a seconda della profondità e delle dimensioni dell’oggetto. Quando sul display compare la croce
di collimazione, significa che l’oggetto si trova esattamente sotto al sensore.
In presenza di materiali ferromagnetici, sul display compare l’icona del ferro di cavallo. In presenza di metalli non
ferrosi, l’icona del ferro di cavallo è barrata.
Per determinare il centro dell’oggetto da localizzare, lo strumento usa come riferimento una barra di metallo con d=18 mm.
Quando lo strumento di avvicina a un cavo sotto tensione, il LED rosso inizia a lampeggiare e viene prodotto un
segnale acustico alternato.
Localizzazione di legno
Dopo aver acceso lo strumento, viene prodotto un segnale acustico e si accende il LED verde. Siccome di default
lo strumento si trova in modalità localizzazione metalli, per passare alla modalità localizzazione legno occorre
premere il tasto Legno.
Appoggiare lo strumento TV 700 su un punto della parete in cui sicuramente non è presente nessun oggetto in
legno.
Quindi passare lentamente in direzione orizzontale o verticale lo strumento sul punto della parete in cui dovrà
essere praticato il foro (con il trapano).
Quando lo strumento si avvicina a un oggetto in legno, aumenta la barra percentuale sul display. Man mano che si
riduce la distanza dello strumento dall’oggetto, il semaforo superiore passa da verde a gallo e quindi a rosso,
quando viene prodotto un segnale acustico. Se l’oggetto in legno si trova nel raggio di portata del sensore, sul
display viene visualizzata anche la distanza dall’oggetto. Alla distanza più breve viene tracciato un punto sulla
parete. A questo punto si ripete la procedura dal lato opposto e si traccia un altro punto alla distanza più breve.
La larghezza varia a seconda della profondità e delle dimensioni dell’oggetto.
Quando sul display compare la croce di collimazione, significa che l’oggetto si trova esattamente sotto al sensore.
Gli oggetti non legno non possono essere localizzati se si trovano sotto a superfici rivestite
con ceramica (piastrelle), moquette (con retro imbottito) e tappezzeria con fibre o pellicole
metalliche, così come all’interno di pareti umide.
Localizzazione di cavi sotto tensione
Dopo aver acceso lo strumento, viene prodotto un segnale acustico e si accende il LED verde. Siccome di default
lo strumento si trova in modalità localizzazione metalli, per passare alla modalità localizzazione tensione occorre
premere il tasto Metallo.
Lo strumento non è in grado di localizzare cavi schermati con tensioni alternate 110-230 V
AC 50-60 Hz.

La presenza di cariche elettrostatiche sulla parete oppure di tubazioni dell’acqua che
scorrono parallelamente ai cavi sotto tensione può far sì che i cavi vengano segnalati in
modo impreciso su un’ampia superficie. Per migliorare l’indicazione, appoggiare il palmo
dell’altra mano libera sulla parete a fianco dello strumento, in modo da scaricare la carica
elettrostatica.
A questo punto, appoggiare lo strumento TV 700 in una zona in cui non si trovano cavi sotto tensione e muoverlo
lentamente in direzione orizzontale o verticale.
Quando lo strumento TV 700 si avvicina a un cavo sotto tensione situato sotto a una superficie non metallica, la
barra percentuale aumenta e, man mano che si riduce la distanza dello strumento dall’oggetto, il semaforo
superiore passa da verde a gallo e quindi a rosso, quando viene prodotto un segnale acustico. Alla distanza più
breve viene tracciato un punto sulla parete. A questo punto si ripete la procedura dal lato opposto e si traccia un
altro punto alla distanza più breve. La larghezza varia a seconda della profondità e delle dimensioni dell’oggetto.

WAARSCHUWING
Om redenen van veiligheid en toelating (CE) is het eigenmachtige ombouwen en/of veranderen van
het instrument niet toegestaan. Om een veilig bedrijf met het instrument te garanderen moet u in elk
geval de veiligheidsinstructies, waarschuwingen en het hoofdstuk „Doelmatig gebruik“ in acht nemen.
WAARSCHUWING
Gelieve vóór het gebruik van het instrument de volgende instructies in acht te nemen:
| Vermijd een bedrijf van het instrument in de buurt van elektrische lasapparaten,
inductieverwarmers en andere elektromagnetische velden.
| Na abrupte temperatuurveranderingen moet het instrument vóór het gebruik voor stabilisering
ca. 30 minuten aan de nieuwe omgevingstemperatuur worden aangepast om de IR-sensor te
stabiliseren.
| Stel het instrument niet langere tijd bloot aan hoge temperaturen.
| Vermijd stoffige en vochtige omgevingsvoorwaarden.
| Meetinstrumenten en toebehoren zijn geen speelgoed en horen niet thuis in de handen van kinderen!
| In industriële faciliteiten moeten de voorschriften ter preventie van ongevallen van de bond van de
industriële ongevallenverzekeringen voor elektrische installaties en bedrijfsmiddelen in acht
worden genomen.
Doelmatig gebruik
Het instrument is alleen bedoeld voor de in de gebruiksaanwijzing beschreven toepassingen. Een ander gebruik is
niet toegelaten en kan ongevallen of onherstelbare beschadiging van het instrument tot gevolg hebben. Deze
toepassingen hebben tot gevolg dat elk recht op garantie en schadevergoeding van de bediener jegens de
fabrikant onmiddellijk komt te vervallen.
Gelieve om het instrument bij langer niet-gebruik tegen beschadiging te beschermen de
batterijen te verwijderen.
Bij materiële schade of persoonlijke verwondingen als gevolg van ondeskundige hantering of
niet-inachtneming van de veiligheidsinstructies aanvaarden wij geen aansprakelijkheid.
In zulke gevallen komt elk recht op garantie te vervallen. Een uitroepteken in de driehoek
verwijst naar veiligheidsinstructies in de bedieningshandleiding. Lees vóór inbedrijfstelling de
handleiding helemaal door. Dit instrument is CE-gecontroleerd en voldoet derhalve aan de
vereiste richtlijnen.

Batterijen/Accu´s die schadelijke stoffen bevatten zijn gekenmerkt met de symbolen
hiernaast, die wijzen op het verbod van de verwerking via het huisvuil.
De benamingen voor de doorslaggevende zware metalen zijn:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = kwikzilver, Pb = lood.
Uw verbruikte batterijen/accu´s kunt u kosteloos inleveren bij de inzamelpunten van uw
gemeente, of overal waar batterijen/accu´s verkocht worden!

Bediening
Hartelijk dank dat u heeft gekozen voor de Testboy® TV 700.
De scanner is bedoeld voor de lokalisering van metaal, hout en leidingen die onder spanning staan in muren, plafonds
en vloeren. Ontwikkeld voor de professionele inzet in installatiebedrijven, en ook indien nodig bij werkzaamheden in
huis nauwelijks weg te denken. Het instrument is uitgerust met een informatief LC-display, met indicatie in centimeter,
staafindicatie en dradenkruis. Bovendien bevindt zich in het bovenste deel een verkeerslichtindicatie. De meting wordt
begeleid met een akoestische signaalgenerator.
WAARSCHUWING
De Testboy® TV 700 kan geen honderd procent zekerheid garanderen. De meetresultaten kunnen door
verschillende factoren zoals: regelmatig poetsen, vochtigheid, statische oplading van het oppervlak,
metaaldeeltjes in het materiaal of afwijkingen van de kalibratie worden beïnvloed. Gelieve u elke keer
voordat u boort te beveiligen aan de hand van andere informatiedragers (bouwplannen, statieken,
stroomloopschema´s enz.).

In- / Uitschakelen
Om het instrument in te schakelen drukt u op de toets 5.
Na het inschakelen is automatisch de metaalopsporing geactiveerd.
De TV 700 schakelt na ca. 5 minuten automatisch uit om batterijcapaciteit te sparen.
Achtergrondverlichting
De achtergrondverlichting van het display is permanent beschikbaar.
Batterij vervangen
Om de batterij te vervangen moet het batterijvak (12) worden geopend. Let bij het erin plaatsen van de nieuwe
batterij op de juiste polariteit. Sluit het batterijvak weer.
Vervang de batterij wanneer in het display het batterijsymbool zonder segmenten wordt weergegeven, of als het
instrument meteen na het inschakelen uitvalt.
Batterijen horen niet bij het huisvuil. Ook bij u in de buurt is er een inzamelpunt!
Gelieve om het instrument bij langer niet-gebruik tegen beschadiging te beschermen de
batterijen te verwijderen.
Kalibratie
Houd de TV 700 in de lucht verwijderd van alle voorwerpen die zouden kunnen worden gedetecteerd. Door korte
activering van de inschakelknop wordt het instrument geactiveerd. Draag aan de bedienende hand geen ringen en
doe een evt. polshorloge af, aangezien metalen voorwerpen het zoekresultaat kunnen beïnvloeden.
Vóór elke inzet moet het instrument op beschadigingen of vervuilingen worden onderzocht.
Zelfkalibratie
De zelfkalibratie gebeurt direct na inschakelen van het instrument of omschakelen van de meetfunctie. Dit wordt
bevestigd door een bevestigingssignaal en oplichten van de groene LED. Voor de maximale gevoeligheid wordt
aanbevolen om het instrument bij het inschakelen uit de buurt van metalen en magnetische stoorfactoren in de
lucht te houden.
Nakalibratie
Daarvoor drukt u op de toets [6] of [7] (in ingeschakelde toestand) gedurende 3 seconden, al naargelang het
geselecteerde bereik. De nakalibratie wordt altijd dan aanbevolen, wanneer het instrument overgevoelig reageert.
Dit kan het best gebeuren op een open plek aan de muur, ver uit de buurt van metalen en magnetische
stoorfactoren.
Voor de opsporing moet de nakalibratie meermaals in de onmiddellijke nabijheid van het meetobject gebeuren door
er meermaals overheen te bewegen.

Vinden van metaal
Na de activering weerklinkt een bevestigingssignaal en de groene LED brandt. Het instrument bevindt zich
standaard in de modus om metaal op te sporen.
Nu kan het instrument, waar de bewerking (boring) van de muur moet gebeuren, horizontaal of verticaal, worden
geleid door het langzaam heen en weer te bewegen.
Als het instrument een metalen object nadert, dan stijgt de hoogte van de staafindicatie. Tegelijkertijd wisselt de
verkeerslichtindicatie met toenemende nadering van groen naar oranje, dan naar rood en er weerklinkt een
akoestisch signaal. Als er zich metalen voorwerpen bevinden binnen de actieradius van de sensor, dan wordt ook
de afstand tot het object weergegeven. Bij de kortste afstand kan een markering worden aangebracht op de muur.
Nu herhaalt men het proces in tegengestelde richting, en maakt men weer een markering bij de kleinste afstand.
De breedte varieert al naargelang diepte en massa van het object. Als het dradenkruis verschijnt, dan bevindt het
object zich precies onder de sensor.
Bij ferromagnetische materialen verschijnt in het display een hoefijzer symbool. Bij non-ferro metalen is het
hoefijzer doorgestreept.
Het instrument neemt om het midden van het te zoeken voorwerp te bepalen als referentie een ijzeren stang d=18 mm.
Als het instrument een spanningvoerende leiding nadert, dan begint de rode LED te knipperen en er weerklinkt een
alternerend waarschuwingssignaal.
Vinden van hout
Na de activering weerklinkt een bevestigingssignaal en de groene LED brandt. Het instrument bevindt zich
standaard in de modus om metaal op te sporen, door activering van de toets voor hout schakelt het instrument in
de modus om hout op te sporen.
Nu zet u de TV 700 op een deel van de muur, waar zeker geen houten delen aanwezig zijn.
Daarna het instrument in het voor de bewerking (boring) voorziene bereik met horizontale of verticale bewegingen
langzaam heen en weer bewegen.
Als het instrument een houten object nadert, dan stijgt de hoogte van de staafindicatie. Tegelijkertijd wisselt de
verkeerslichtindicatie met toenemende nadering van groen naar oranje, dan naar rood en er weerklinkt een
akoestisch signaal. Als er zich houten voorwerpen bevinden binnen de actieradius van de sensor, dan wordt ook
de afstand tot het object weergegeven. Bij de kortste afstand kan een markering worden aangebracht op de muur.
Nu herhaalt men het proces in tegengestelde richting, en maakt men weer een markering bij de kleinste afstand.

De houtconstructies kunnen niet onder keramische oppervlakken (tegels), tapijtvloeren
(met gestoffeerde achterkant), tapijten met metaalvezels of metaalfolie, noch in vochtige
muren worden opgespoord.
Vinden van spanningvoerende leidingen
Na de activering weerklinkt een bevestigingssignaal en de groene LED brandt. Het instrument bevindt zich
standaard in de modus om metaal op te sporen, door activering van de toets voor metaal schakelt het instrument in
de modus om spanning op te sporen.
Er kunnen geen afgeschermde leidingen met wisselspanning 110 - 230 V AC 50 - 60 Hz
worden gelokaliseerd.

Statische oplading aan de muren of parallel aan spanningvoerende leidingen lopende
waterbuizen kunnen ertoe leiden, dat de leidingen u onnauwkeurig, over een groot vlak
worden weergegeven. Om de indicatie te verbeteren legt u uw vrije hand naast het
meetinstrument vlak op de muur, om de statische elektriciteit af te bouwen.
Nu plaatst u de TV 700 op een bereik waar zich geen spanningvoerende leidingen bevinden, en beweegt u hem
met horizontale of verticale bewegingen langzaam heen en weer.
Als de TV 700 een spanningvoerende leiding nadert onder een metaalvrij oppervlak, dan stijgt de hoogte van de
staafindicatie en tegelijkertijd wisselt de verkeerslichtindicatie bij toenemende nadering van groen naar oranje, dan
naar rood knipperend, en er weerklinkt een alternerend waarschuwingssignaal. Bij de kortste afstand kan een
markering worden aangebracht op de muur. Nu herhaalt men het proces in tegengestelde richting, en maakt men
weer een markering bij de kortste afstand. De breedte varieert al naargelang diepte en massa van het object.
Als het dradenkruis verschijnt, dan bevindt het object zich precies onder de sensor.
