Safety Tips

• Position the appliance on a flat, stable surface.

• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out installation and any repairs if required. Do not

remove any components on this product.

• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the following:

• Building Regulations

• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.

• DO NOT touch the top and sides of the appliance when in use. Surfaces are hot!

• DO NOT obstruct or cover the appliance in any way when in use.

• DO NOT insert any metallic objects in to the appliance when connected to a power supply.

• DO NOT leave the appliance unattended during operation.

• Always switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and allow to cool before cleaning or

carrying out maintenance.

• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the appliance when not in use.

• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the packaging in accordance to the regulations of

local authorities.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a Caterlite agent or a recommended qualified

technician in order to avoid a hazard.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory

or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the apliance by a person reponsible for their safety.

Introduction

Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of

this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Caterlite product.

Operation

To a s t i n g

1. Connect the appliance to a mains power supply.

2. Set the Toasting level using the Level Selector dial.

1 - lightest to 7 - darkest.

3. Insert the bread into the top of the appliance.

4. Push the lever down.

5. The appliance will begin toasting. When complete the toast is ejected.

Reheating

Should there be a need to reheat bread that has already been toasted:

1. Connect the appliance to a mains power supply.

2. Press the ‘REHEAT’ button. The indicator light turns on.

3. Insert the toast into the top of the appliance.

4. Push the lever down.

The appliance will begin reheating. When complete the toast is ejected.

Defrosting

Frozen bread should be defrosted before toasting.

1. Connect the appliance to a mains power supply.

2. Press the ‘DEFROST’ button. The indicator light turns on.

3. Insert the bread into the top of the appliance.

4. Push the lever down.

5. The appliance will begin defrosting. When complete the bread is ejected.

Cancelling

Any of the functions can be cancelled at any time by pressing the CANCEL button.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance

• A Caterlite dealer or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.

• Always switch off the appliance, disconnect the power supply and allow to cool before cleaning or

performing maintenance.

• If necessary wipe the exterior with a soft cloth and warm soapy water.

•Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Crumb Tray

Periodically empty the crumb tray (located at the rear of the appliance).

Slide the tray out to empty.

Slot back in securely when replacing the tray.

Note: The’REHEAT’ function is for a preset time and power level and cannot be altered

by the Level Selector dial.

Note: The ’DEFROST’ function is for a preset time and power level and cannot be altered

by the Level Selector dial.

If your Caterlite appliance develops a fault, please check the following table before making a call to the

Helpline.

Electrical Wiring

This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.

The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.

This appliance is wired as follows:

• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L

• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N

• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E

This appliance must be earthed, using a dedicated earthing circuit.

If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency

disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.

Werking

Brood roosteren

1. Sluit het apparaat aan op de stroomvoorziening.

2. Kies het roosterniveau met behulp van de niveaukeuzeschakelaar.

1 - licht tot 7 - heel donker.

3. Plaats het brood in de sleuf aan de bovenkant van het apparaat.

4. Duw de hendel naar beneden.

5. Het apparaat begint met roosteren. Wanneer het brood geroosterd is, wordt het uitgeworpen.

Opnieuw verwarmen

Wanneer u reeds geroosterd brood opnieuw wilt opwarmen:

1. Sluit het apparaat aan op de stroomvoorziening.

2. Druk op de knop 'REHEAT'. Het indicatielampje licht op.

3. Plaats het geroosterd brood in de sleuf aan de bovenkant van het apparaat.

4. Duw de hendel naar beneden.

5. Het apparaat begint met het opnieuw roosteren. Wanneer het brood klaar is, wordt het uitgeworpen.

Opmerking: De 'REHEAT'-functie heeft een vast ingestelde duur en vermogenssterkte

en kan niet met de niveaukeuzeschakelaar worden veranderd.

Ontdooien

Bevroren brood moet vóór het roosteren eerst worden ontdooid.

1. Sluit het apparaat aan op de stroomvoorziening.

2. Druk op de knop 'DEFROST'. Het indicatielampje licht op.

3. Plaats het geroosterd brood in de sleuf aan de bovenkant van het apparaat.

4. Duw de hendel naar beneden.

5. Het apparaat start het ontdooiproces. Na het ontdooien wordt het brood uitgeschoven.

Annuleren

Alle eerdergenoemde functies kunnen door het indrukken van de CANCEL knop worden geannuleerd.

Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud

• Eventuele reparaties moeten door een Caterlite vertegenwoordiger of een vaktechnicus worden

uitgevoerd.

• Alvorens dit apparaat te reinigen of onderhoud uit te voeren, dient men altijd de stekker uit het

stopcontact te halen en het apparaat te laten afkoelen.

• Indien nodig, maak de buitenkant met een zachte doek en warm zeepwater schoon.

• Laat houten keukengerei niet in water staan.

• Na reiniging goed drogen.

Kruimellade

Reinig regelmatig de kruimellade (aan de achterzijde van het apparaat).

Schuif de lade uit om deze leeg te maken.

Schuif de lade opnieuw goed in de opening bij het terugplaatsen.

Opmerking: De 'DEFROST'-functie heeft een vast ingestelde roosterduur en

vermogenssterkte en kan niet met de niveaukeuzeschakelaar worden veranderd.

Oplossen van problemen

Indien er een storing van uw Caterlite product optreedt, dient u de onderstaande tabel te raadplegen

alvorens contact op te nemen met uw Caterlite dealer of de Hulplijn te bellen.

Men dient de steker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.

Operation

Griller le pain

1. Branchez l'appareil à une prise d'alimentation secteur.

2. Réglez le niveau de cuisson à l'aide de la molette de Sélection de niveau de cuisson.

Du moins cuit - 1 - au plus cuit - 7 -

3. Insérez le pain par le dessus de l'appareil.

4. Enfoncez le levier.

5. La cuisson du pain commence. Le pain grillé est éjecté à la fin de la cuisson.

Réchauffage

Si vous voulez faire réchauffer du pain déjà grillé :

1. Branchez l'appareil à une prise d'alimentation secteur.

2. Appuyez sur la touche " RÉCHAUFFAGE ". Le témoin s'allume.

3. Insérez le toast par le dessus de l'appareil.

4. Enfoncez le levier.

5. Le réchauffage commence. Le toast est éjecté à la fin de la cuisson.

Remarque : Les réglages de temps et de niveau de cuisson de la fonction de " RÉCHAUFFAGE "

Décongélation

Le pain surgelé doit être décongelé avant de passer au grille-pain.

1. Branchez l'appareil à une prise d'alimentation secteur.

2. Appuyez sur la touche " DÉCONGÉLATION ". Le témoin s'allume.

3. Insérez le pain par le dessus de l'appareil.

4. Enfoncez le levier.

5. La décongélation commence. Le pain est éjecté à la fin du temps de décongélation.

Annulation

Les fonctions du grille-pain peuvent être annulées à n'importe quel moment, en appuyant sur la touche

Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance

• Toute réparation doit être confiée à un agent ou technicien qualifié Caterlite.

• Avant tout nettoyage ou opération d'entretien, vous devez éteindre l'appareil, le débrancher de

l'alimentation électrique et le laisser refroidir.

• Pour nettoyer les surfaces extérieures, essuyez-les avec un tissu doux imbibé d'eau chaude savonneuse.

• Ne laissez pas tremper dans l'eau vos ustensiles en bois.

• Séchez-les avec soin après chaque nettoyage.

Tiroir ramasse-miettes

• Videz régulièrement le tiroir ramasse-miettes (situé à l'arrière de l'appareil).

• Ouvrez le tiroir pour le vider.

• Veillez à bien remettre le tiroir en place après l'avoir vidé.

En cas de panne de votre appareil Caterlite, vérifiez les données du tableau ci-dessous avant d'appeler notre

Auftauen

Tiefgefrorenes Brot sollte vor dem Toasten aufgetaut werden.

1. Das Gerät an den Netzstrom anschließen.

2. Die "AUFTAU"-Taste drücken. Die Anzeige leuchtet auf.

3. Brot oben in den Toaster stecken.

4. Den Hebel hinunterschieben.

5. Das Gerät beginnt den Auftauvorgang. Anschließend wird das Brot ausgeworfen.

Abbrechen

Alle Funktionen können jederzeit durch Drücken der ABBRECHEN-Taste storniert werden.

Reinigung, Pflege und Wartung

• Erforderliche Reparaturen sollten von einem Caterlite-Händler oder einem qualifizierten Techniker

ausgeführt werden.

• Vor Reinigen des Geräts oder Wartungsarbeiten stets das Gerät ausschalten, den Netzstecker ziehen

und warten, bis sich das Gerät abgekühlt hat.

• Bei Bedarf das Gerät außen mit einem weichen Tuch und einer warmen Seifenlauge abwischen.

• Holzutensilien nicht längere Zeit in Wasser liegen lassen.

• Nach dem Reinigen gründlich trocknen.

Krümelschale

1. Die Krümelschale (hinten am Gerät) regelmäßig entleeren.

2. Zum Entleeren die Schale herausziehen.

3. Beim Wiedereinsetzen die Schale wieder fest hineinschieben.

Montaggio

Riscaldamento

Per riscaldare il pane che è già stato tostato:

1. Collegare l'apparecchio all'alimentazione di rete.

2. Premere il tasto "REHEAT" (riscaldamento). La spia si accende.

3. Inserire il toast dalla parte superiore dell'apparecchio.

4. Spingere la leva verso il basso.

5. L'apparecchio inizia a riscaldare. Al termine il toast viene espulso.

Il pane congelato deve essere scongelato prima della tostatura.

1. Collegare l'apparecchio all'alimentazione di rete.

Annullamento

Pulizia e manutenzione

• Le riparazioni devono venire eseguite da un tecnico qualificato o da un rivenditore Caterlite.

• Prima di pulire o procedere alla manutenzione, spegnere l'apparecchio, scollegarlo dall'alimentazione e

lasciarlo raffreddare.

• Se necessario pulire le superfici esterne utilizzando un panno morbido e acqua calda saponata.

• Non lasciare a mollo gli utensili di legno.

• Asciugare completamente dopo la pulizia.

Vassoio di raccolta briciole

Svuotare periodicamente il vassoio di raccolta briciole ubicato nella parte posteriore dell'apparecchio.

Estrarre il vassoio per svuotarlo.

Reinserire saldamente il vassoio.

Risoluzione dei problemi

Funcionamiento

Recalentado

Para recalentar pan previamente tostado:

1. Conectar el aparato a la alimentación de la red.

2. Pulsar el botón 'RECALENTAR'. La luz del indicador se enciende.

3. Insertar la tostada en la parte superior del aparato.

4. Presionar hacia abajo la palanca.

5. El aparato comenzará a recalentar. Al finalizar se expulsa la tostada.

Nota: La función 'RECALENTAR' es para un tiempo prefijado y el nivel de potencia no

Descongelación

El pan congelado debe descongelarse antes de tostarlo.

Limpieza, Cuidado y Mantenimiento

• Si son necesarias reparaciones, debe llevarlas a cabo un distribuidor o un técnico cualificado de

Caterlite.

• Apagar siempre el aparato, desconectar la alimentación y dejar que se enfríe antes de limpiarlo o de

realizar el mantenimiento.

• Limpiar la parte exterior con un trapo suave y agua jabonosa caliente si es necesario.

• No dejar en remojo los utensilios de madera.

Secar cuidadosamente después de la limpieza.

Bandeja recogemigas

Vaciar periódicamente la bandeja recogemigas (situada en la parte trasera del aparato).

Sacar la bandeja para vaciarla.

Al volver a colocar la bandeja, ajustarla en la ranura hacia atrás con seguridad

Resolución de problemas

Si su aparato Caterlite falla, compruebe la tabla siguiente antes de llamar a la línea de asistencia o a su

distribuidor Caterlite.

Nota: La función 'DESCONGELAR' es para un tiempo prefijado y el nivel de potencia no

El enchufe tiene que conectarse a una toma eléctrica adecuada.

Este aparato está conectado de la forma siguiente:

• Cable cargado (de color marrón) al terminal marcado como L

Funcionamento

Reaquecimento

Se houver necessidade de reaquecer pão que já tenha sido torrado:

4. Carregue na alavanca.
