Stainless Steel Axleback System

1. After you have inventoried the parts begin by placing your Jeep on a lift or 4 jack stands so you can work

safely under your vehicle.

2. Using a 15mm socket, loosen the factory band clamp securing the mufﬂer assembly to the mid-pipe assembly.

Note: The factory clamp is tack welded to the assembly. Do not attempt to remove it completely.

3. Lubricate the factory hangers and remove the mufﬂer assembly from the vehicle.

Note: If having trouble removing the assembly from the factory mid-pipe, use a ﬂat head screwdriver or small

chisel to spread the slip joints on the factory pipe.

4. Install the new mu4. Install the new mufﬂer assembly to the factory mid-pipe and hang the brackets in the factory rubber hangers.

5. Align the system to ensure the tips are even and nothing is making contact with the frame or body of the Jeep.

Once everything is aligned properly, tighten the 2.5” band clamp at the factory mid-pipe to complete the installa-

tion.
