English Application for iPhone/iPod touch/iPad E3 Controller User’s Guide Disklavier E3 Disklavier Control Unit DKC-850  Introduction Thank you for downloading! This application is designed to enable remote control of a Disklavier E3 or DKC-850. Compatible devices iPad 2 / iPad / iPhone 4S / iPhone 4 / iPhone 3GS iPhone 3G / iPod touch (4th generation, 3rd generation, 2nd generation) * iOS 4.2 or later is required. Requirements • Disklavier E3 Version 3.20 or later, or DKC-850 Version 3.20 or later • Wireless router Wireless router Wireless LAN iPhone/iPod touch/iPad LAN cable Disklavier  Introduction Usage note • Connect Disklavier to the wireless router by LAN cable and choose that same network in the Wi-Fi setting of iPhone/ iPod touch/iPad. • If the wireless router has several local networks, confirm that the Disklavier and the iOS device are connected to the same LAN. For more detail, refer to the manual that came with your wireless router. See the following sections for information on these buttons.  Other Features Piano Search Language select button (English, Japanese) [PIANO SEARCH] button If you touch the [PIANO SEARCH] button in option view, or when it is not connected to a piano, this view will pop up. When the language select button is touched, the display alternates between English and Japanese.  Other Features Piano Search Piano list [DEMO MODE] button If you touch the [PIANO SEARCH] button, the piano search function will start and all found pianos will be listed. Tap on the piano to which you would like to connect. If you touch the [DEMO MODE] button, it will switch to the demo mode. While in demo mode, you can check the operations without being connected to a piano.  Other Features Passcode View When authentication is needed, this view will pop up. Enter the passcode you set on the Disklavier.  Other Features Help View [BACK] button [LANGUAGE] button If you touch the [HELP] button in option view, this view will pop up.  Other Features Help View [CANCEL] button [DONE] button If you touch the [LANGUAGE] button, this view will pop up. If you would like to change the language of the User’s Guide, choose the language, then touch the [DONE] button.  Troubleshooting Application cannot find the piano. • Make sure your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad is connected to the same network to which your Disklavier is connected by LAN cable. • Restart this application. • If you have never found the piano, confirm the version of firmware of your Disklavier. Version 3.20 or later is required. • If the wireless router has several local networks, confirm that the Disklavier and the iOS device are connected to the same LAN. For more detail, refer to the manual that came with your wireless router. You forgot the passcode. • Refer to the manual of your Disklavier and check the passcode.
