Safety information
Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read
the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if
an incorrect installation and use causes injuries and damages.
Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future refer-
ence.
Children and vulnerable people safety
Warning! Risk of suffocation, injury or permanent disability.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they are supervised by an adult or a person who is responsi-
ble for their safety.
Do not let children play with the appliance.
Keep all packaging away from children.
Keep children and pets away from the appliance when it op-
erates or when it cools down. Accessible parts are hot.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by chil-
dren without supervision.
General Safety
The appliance and its accessible parts become hot during
use. Do not touch the heating elements.
Do not operate the appliance by means of an external timer
or separate remote-control system.

• Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be danger-
ous and may result in fire.
• Never try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the
appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or a fire blan-
ket.
• Do not store items on the cooking surfaces.
• Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the appliance.
• Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should
not be placed on the hob surface since they can get hot.
• If the glass ceramic surface is cracked, switch off the appli-
ance to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
Safety instructions
Installation
Warning! Only a qualified person must
install this appliance.
• Remove all the packaging.
• Do not install or use a damaged appli-
ance.
• Obey the installation instruction supplied
with the appliance.
•Always be careful when you move the
appliance because it is heavy. Always
wear safety gloves.
• Seal the cut surfaces with a sealant to
prevent moisture to cause swelling.
• Protect the bottom of the appliance from
steam and moisture.
• Do not install the appliance adjacent to a
door or under a window. This prevents
hot cookware to fall from the appliance
when the door or the window is opened.
• Keep the minimum distance from the oth-
er appliances and units. Refer to the as-
sembly instructions.
• If the appliance is installed above draw-
ers make sure that the space, between
the bottom of the appliance and the up-
per drawer, is sufficient for air circulation.
Refer to the assembly instructions.
• The bottom of the appliance can get hot.
We recommend to install a non-combus-
tile separation panel under the appliance
to prevent access to the bottom.
Electrical connection
Warning! Risk of fire and electrical
shock.
• All electrical connections must be made
by a qualified electrician.
• The appliance must be earthed.
• Before carrying out any operation make
sure that the appliance is disconnected
from the power supply.
• Use the correct electricity mains cable.
• Do not let the electricity mains cable tan-
gle.
• Make sure the mains cable or plug (if ap-
plicable) does not touch the hot appli-
ance or hot cookware, when you connect
the appliance to the near sockets
• Make sure the appliance is installed cor-
rectly. Loose and incorrect electricity
mains cable or plug (if applicable) can
make the terminal become too hot.
• Make sure that a shock protection is in-
stalled.
• Use the strain relief clamp on cable.

• Make sure not to cause damage to the
mains plug (if applicable) or to the mains
cable. Contact the Service or an electri-
cian to change a damaged mains cable.
• The electrical installation must have an
isolation device which lets you disconnect
the appliance from the mains at all poles.
The isolation device must have a contact
opening width of minimum 3 mm.
• Use only correct isolation devices: line
protecting cut-outs, fuses (screw type
fuses removed from the holder), earth
leakage trips and contactors.
Gas connection
• All gas connections should be made by a
qualified person.
• Make sure that there is air circulation
around the appliance.
• The information about the gas supply is
on the rating plate.
• This appliance is not connected to a de-
vice, which evacuates the products of
combustion. Make sure to connect the
appliance according to current installa-
tion regulations. Pay attention to require-
ments regarding adequate ventilation.
Use
Warning! Risk of injury, burns or
electric shock.
• Use this appliance in a household envi-
ronment.
• Do not change the specification of this
appliance.
• Do not let the appliance stay unattended
during operation.
• Do not operate the appliance with wet
hands or when it has contact with water.
• Do not put cutlery or saucepan lids on the
cooking zones. They become hot.
• Set the cooking zone to “off” after use.
• Do not use the appliance as a work sur-
face or as a storage surface.
• If the surface of the appliance is cracked,
disconnect immediately the appliance
from the power supply. This to prevent an
electrical shock.
Warning! Risk of fire or explosion.
• Fats and oil when heated can release
flammable vapours. Keep flames or heat-
ed objects away from fats and oils when
you cook with them.
• The vapours that very hot oil releases can
cause spontaneous combustion.
• Used oil, that can contain food remnants,
can cause fire at a lower temperature
than oil used for the first time.
• Do not put flammable products or items
that are wet with flammable products in,
near or on the appliance.
Warning! Risk of damage to the
appliance.
• Do not keep hot cookware on the control
panel.
• Do not let cookware to boil dry.
• Be careful not to let objects or cookware
fall on the appliance. The surface can be
damaged.
• Do not activate the cooking zones with
empty cookware or without cookware.
• Do not put aluminium foil on the appli-
ance.
• Cookware made of cast iron, aluminium
or with a damaged bottom can cause
scratches on the glass ceramic. Always lift
these objects up when you have to move
them on the cooking surface.
• Provide good ventilation in the room
where the appliance is installed.
• Make sure that the ventilation openings
are not blocked.
• Use only stable cookware with the correct
shape and diameter larger than the di-
mensions of the burners. There is a risk of
overheating and rupture of the glass
plate (if applicable).
• Make sure the flame does not go out
when you quickly turn the knob from the
maximum to the minimum position.
• Make sure pots are centrally positioned
on the rings and do not stick out over
edges of the cooking surface.
• Use only the accessories supplied with
the appliance.
• Do not install a flame diffuser on the
burner.

Care and Cleaning
Warning! Risk of damage to the
appliance.
• Clean regularly the appliance to prevent
the deterioration of the surface material.
• Do not use water spray and steam to
clean the appliance.
• Do not clean the burners in the dishwash-
er.
• Clean the appliance with a moist soft
cloth. Only use neutral detergents. Do not
use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning
pads, solvents or metal objects.
Disposal
Warning! Risk of injury or suffocation.
• Contact your municipal authority for in-
formation on how to discard the appli-
ance correctly.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply.
• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.
• Flat the external gas pipes.

Ignition of the burner
Always ignite the burner before posi-
tioning pots or pans.
To ignite the burner:
1. Push the control knob completely in and
turn it counter-clockwise to the maxi-
mum position marked
.

2. Keep the knob pushed for about 5 sec;
this will allow thermocouple to heat up,
and the safety device to switch off, oth-
erwise the gas supply would be inter-
rupted.
3. After the flame is regular, adjust it as
preferred.
If after a few attempts the burner does
not ignite, check that the crown and its
cap are in correct positions.

Warning! Do not keep control knob
pressed for more than 15 seconds.
If the burner does not light after 15 seconds,
release the control knob, turn it into off posi-
tion and wait for at least 1 minute before
trying to light the burner again.
Important! In the absence of electricity You
can ignite the burner without electrical
device; in this case approach the burner
with a flame, push the relevant knob down
and turn it counter-clockwise to maximum
gas release position.
Warning! Maintain extreme caution
while operating with open fire in
kitchen environment. Manufacturer declines
any responsibility in case of misuse of flame.
If the burner accidentally goes out, turn
the control knob to the off position and
wait for at least 1 minute before trying to
light it again.
When switching on the mains, after in-
stallation or a power cut, it is quite nor-
mal for the spark generator to be activated
automatically.
Turning the burners off
To put the flame out, turn the relevant con-
trol knob to the symbol
.
Warning! Always turn the flame down
or switch it off before removing the
pans of the burner.
Helpful hints and tips
Energy savings
• If possible, always place lids on the pans.
• As soon as liquid starts boiling, turn down
the flame to barley keep the liquid sim-
mering.

thick and flat as possible.

Care and cleaning
Warning! Switch the appliance off and
let it cool down before you clean it.
Warning! For safety reasons, do not
clean the appliance with steam
blasters or high-pressure cleaners.
Warning! Do not use abrasive
cleaners, steel wool pads or acids, they
will damage the appliance.
To remove any food remains wash the
enamelled elements, "caps" and "crowns",
with warm soapy water.
Stainless steel elements wash with water,
and then dry with a soft cloth.
This model is equipped with electrical igni-
tion, it is obtained through ceramic "candle"
with electrode.
Keep them well clean to avoid difficult light-
ning.
Periodically ask your local Service Cen-
tre to check the conditions of the gas
supply pipe and the pressure adjuster, if it is
fitted (this service is not free of charge).
After cleaning, be sure to wipe dry with a
soft cloth.

Installation
Warning! This appliance must be
installed, connected or repaired only
by a registered competent person to the
relevant gas standard. Use only parts
provided with the product. Use only original
spare parts.

Caution! To proceed with the

Warning! Installation process must
follow the laws, ordinances, directives
and standards (electrical safety rules and
regulations, proper recycling in accordance
with the regulations, etc.) in force in the
country of use!
Ensure that the local distribution condi-
tions (nature of the gas and gas pres-
sure) and the adjustment of the appliance
are compatible before proceeding with the
installation.
The parameters of adjustment setting
for this appliance are stated on the
rating plate (refer to the Technical data
chapter).
Warning! The appliance must be
earthed!
Warning! Risk of injury from electrical
current.
• The electrical mains terminal is live.
• Make electrical mains terminal free of
voltage.
• Loose and inappropriate plug and socket
connections can make the terminal over-
heat.
• Have the clamping connections correctly
installed.
• Use strain relief clamp on cable.
Important! You must observe the minimum
distances to other appliances and furniture
cabinets or other units according to
Assembly Instruction.
The minimum distance to be maintained
from the cut out edge to lateral wall must
be 100 mm.
If there is no oven beneath the hob insert a
dividing panel at a minimum distance of 20
mm from the bottom of the hob.
Protect the cut surfaces of the worktop
against moisture using a suitable sealant in-
cluded in the product in fitting bag. The
sealant seals the appliance to the work top
with no gap. Do not use silicon sealant be-
tween the appliance and the worktop.
Avoid installing the appliance next to doors
and under windows as hot cookware may
be knocked off the pan support when doors
and windows are opened.
Gas Connection
Warning! Only a qualified person must
install this appliance.
Warning! This appliance is not
connected to a combustion products
evacuation device.
Installation must comply with current local
regulation.
The connection of the cooktop to the gas
pipe network or gas cylinder must be made
by means of a rigid copper or steel pipe
with fittings complying with local regula-
tions, or by means of a continuous surface
stainless steel hose complying with local
regulations.
If you see any abnormalities do not re-
pair the pipe, contact local After Sales
Service (refer to the Service chapter).
The connection must be installed correctly,
fixed into hob connection pipe. Otherwise it
will cause leakage of gas
Warning! Once the installation is
complete, check the perfect seal of
every pipe fixing. Use soapy water, never
flame.
Electrical connection
The electrical work necessary to install the
appliance must be done by a qualified
electrician or competent person, according
to the current regulations.

Before connecting, check that the nominal
voltage of the appliance stated on the rat-
ing plate, corresponds to the available sup-
ply voltage. Also, check the power rating of
the appliance and ensure that the wire is
suitably sized to suit the appliance power
rating (refer to the Technical data chapter).
The rating plate is located on the lower cas-
ing of the hob.
The appliance is supplied with a connection
cable. This has to be provided with a prop-
er plug, able to support the load marked on
the identification plate (refer to the Techni-
cal data chapter).
The plug has to be fitted in a proper socket.
If connecting the appliance directly to the
electric system, it is necessary that you in-
stall a double pole switch between the ap-
pliance and the electricity supply, with a
minimum gap of 3 mm between the switch
contacts. The double pole has to be of a
type suitable for the required load in com-
pliance with the current rules.
The connection cable has to be placed in
order that, in each part, it cannot reach a
90 °C temperature. The blue neutral cable
must be connected to the terminal block
marked with "N". The brown (or black)
phase cable (fitted in the terminal block
contact marked with "L") must always be
connected to the live phase.
Electrical Requirements
The manufacturer declines any liability if
these safety measures are not observed.
This hob is designed to be connected to a
230 V 50 Hz AC electrical supply.
Before switching on, make sure the electrici-
ty supply voltage is the same as that indica-
ted on the hob rating plate. The rating plate
is located on the bottom of the hob.
The hob is supplied with a 3 core flexible
supply cord.
Upon completion there must be no cut, or
stray strands of wire present and the cord
clamp must be secure over the outer sheath.
Replacement of the connection cable.
Warning! The replacement of electric
cable must be carried out exclusively
by the After Sales Service or by personnel
with similar competencies, in accordance
with the current regulations.
If the connection cable must be replaced,
only a type H05V2V2-F T90 cable must be
used. The cable section must be suitable to
the voltage and the working temperature.
The yellow/green earth wire must be ap-
proximately 2 cm longer than the brown (or
black) phase wire.
Gas setting conversion
This model is designed for use with
natural gas but can be converted for
use with butane or propane gas providing
the correct injectors. The injectors not sup-
plied with the appliance have to be or-
dered from After Sales Service (refer to the
Service chapter).
For data concerning injector replacement,
refer to the chapter Technical data
Warning! Conversion or replacement
can only be performed by a registered
installer.
To replace injectors:
1. Remove pan support.
2. Remove burner cap and crown.
3. With a socket spanner 7 unscrew and
remove the injectors, replace them with
the ones required for the type of gas in
use.
4. Reassemble the parts, following the
same procedure backwards.
Important! Replace the rating label (placed
near gas supply pipe) with relevant one for
the new type of gas supply before sealing
the appliance. If the appliance is already
sealed please stick it directly on the user
manual booklet after Technical data
chapter close to the rating plate drawing.

If the feeding gas pressure will be dif-
ferent or variable, comparing with the
required, you must install an appropriate
pressure adjuster, which is not supplied with
the product and if needed must be ordered
separately from the local After Sales Service
(refer to the Service chapter). The pressure
adjuster must be fitted on gas supply pipe,
in compliance with the rules of the force.
The rating plate is located on the lower cas-
ing of the hob.
Adjusting flame level
When hob has been fully installed, it is nec-
essary to check the minimum flame setting:
1. Turn the gas tap to the maximum posi-
tion and ignite.
2. Set the gas tap to the minimum flame
position then turn the control knob from
minimum to maximum several times. If
the flame is unstable or extinguished,
follow the procedure further.
3
. Re-ignite
the burner and set to mini-
mum.
4. Remove the control knob.
5. To adjust, use a thin bladed screwdriver
and turn the adjustment screw until the
flame is steady and does not extin-
guish, when the knob is turned from
minimum to maximum, and vice versa
(see following picture).
6. Repeat this procedure for all burners.
7. Reassemble the knobs.
Warning! If the appliance is connected
to liquid gas (G31 propane or G30
butane), the regulation screw must be
fastened as tightly as possible.

IKEA GUARANTEE
How long is the IKEA guarantee valid?
This guarantee is valid for five (5) years
from the original date of purchase of Your
appliance at IKEA, unless the appliance is
named LAGAN in which case two (2) years
of guarantee apply. The original sales re-
ceipt is required as proof of purchase. If
service work is carried out under guarantee,
this will not extend the guarantee period for
the appliance,

IKEA five (5) years guarantee?
The range of appliances named LAGAN
and all appliances purchased in IKEA be-
fore 1st of August 2007
Who will execute the service?
IKEA service provider will provide the serv-
ice through its own service operations or
authorized servi
ce pa
rtner network.
What does this guarantee cover?
The guarantee covers faults of the appli-
ance, which have been caused by faulty
construction or material faults from the date
of purchase from IKEA. This guarantee ap-
plies to domestic use only. The exceptions
are specified under the headline “What is
not covered under this guarantee?” Within
the guarantee period, the costs to remedy
the fault e.g. repairs, parts, labour and trav-
el will be covered, provided that the appli-
ance is accessible for repair without special
expenditure. On these conditions the EU
guidelines (Nr. 99/44/EG) and the respec-
tive local regulations are applicable. Re-
placed parts become the property of IKEA.
Energy saving
Before use, make sure that the burners and pan supports are assembled correctly.
Use cookware with diameters applicable to the size of burners.
Center the pot on the burner.
When you heat up water, use only the amount you need.
If it is possible, always put the lids on the cookware.
When the liquid starts to boil, turn down the flame to barely simmer the liquid.
If it is possible, use a pressure cooker. Refer to its user manual.
Environment concerns
Recycle the materials with the symbol .
Put the packaging in applicable containers
to recycle it.
Help protect the environment and human
health and to recycle waste of electrical
and electronic appliances. Do not dispose
appliances marked with the symbol
with
the household waste. Return the product to
your local recycling facility or contact your
municipal office.
Packaging materials
The materials with the symbol

What will IKEA do to correct the problem?
IKEA appointed service provider will exam-
ine the product and decide, at its sole dis-
cretion, if it is covered under this guarantee.
If considered covered, IKEA service provider
or its authorized service partner through its
own service operations, will then, at its sole
discretion, either repair the defective prod-
uct or replace it with the same or a compa-
rable product.
What is not covered under this
guarantee?
Normal wear and tear.
Deliberate or negligent damage, dam-
age caused by failure to observe operat-
ing instructions, incorrect installation or by
connection to the wrong voltage, dam-
age caused by chemical or electro-chem-
ic
al react
ion, rust, corrosion or water
damage including but not limited to dam-
age caused by excessive lime in the wa-
ter supply, damage caused by abnormal
environmental conditions.
Consumable parts including batteries
and lamps.
Non-functional and decorative parts
which do not affect normal use of the ap-
pliance, including any scratches and pos-
sible color differences.
Accidental damage caused by foreign
objects or substances and cleaning or un-
blocking of filters, drainage systems or
soap drawers.
Damage to the following parts: ceramic
glass, accessories, crockery and cutlery
baskets, feed and drainage pipes, seals,
lamps and lamp covers, screens, knobs,
casings and parts of casings. Unless such
damages can be proved to have been
caused by production faults.
Cases where no fault

Repairs not carried out by our appointed
service providers and/or an authorized
service contractual partner or where non-
original parts have been used.
Repairs caused by installation which is
faulty or not according to specification.
The use of the appliance in a non-domes-
tic environment i.e. professional use.
Transportation damages. If a customer
transports the product to their home or
other address, IKEA is not liable for any
damage that may occur during transport.
However, if IKEA delivers the product to
the customer's delivery address, then
damage to the product that occurs during
this delivery will be covered by this guar-
antee.
Cost for carrying out the initial installation
of the IKEA appliance. However, if an
IKEA service provider or its authorized
service partner repairs or replaces the
appliance
under
the terms of this guaran-
tee, the service provider or its authorized
service partner will re-install the repaired
appliance or install the replacement, if
necessary.
This restriction do not apply to fault-free
work carried out by a qualified specialist
using our original parts in order to adapt
the appliance to the technical safety specifi-
cations of another EU country.
How country law applies
The IKEA guarantee gives You specific legal
rights, which covers or exceed local de-
mands. However these conditions do not
limit in any way consumer rights described
in the local legislation
Area of validity
For appliances which are purchased in one
EU country and taken to another EU coun-
try, the services will be provided in the
framework of the guarantee
conditions
nor-
mal in the new country. An obligation to
carry out services in the framework of the
guarantee exists only if the appliance com-
plies and is installed in accordance with:
the technical specifications of the country
in which the guarantee claim is made;
the Assembly Instructions and User Man-
ual Safety Information;

IKEA appliances:
Please do not hesitate to contact IKEA After
Sales Service to:
1. make a service request under this guar-
antee;

2. ask for clarification on installation of the
IKEA appliance in the dedicated IKEA
kitchen furniture. The service won’t pro-
vide clarifications related to:
– the overall IKEA kitchen installation;
– connections to electricity (if machine
comes without plug and cable), to

• Bedien het apparaat niet met een externe timer of een apart
afstandbedieningssysteem.
• Zonder toezicht koken op een kookplaat met vet of olie kan
gevaarlijk zijn en brandgevaar opleveren.
• Probeer brand nooit met water te blussen, maar schakel in
plaats daarvan het apparaat uit en bedek de vlam, d.w.z.
met een deksel of blusdeken.
• Bewaar geen voorwerpen op de kookplaten.
• Gebruik geen stoomreiniger om het apparaat schoon te ma-
ken.
• Metalen voorwerpen, zoals messen, vorken, lepels en deksels
mogen niet op de kookplaat worden geplaatst, aangezien
ze heet kunnen worden.
• Als de glaskeramische oppervlakte gebarsten is, schakel het
apparaat dan uit om het risico op elektrische schokken te
voorkomen.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Montage
Waarschuwing! Alleen een erkende
installatietechnicus mag het apparaat
installeren.
• Verwijder alle verpakkingsmaterialen.
• Installeer en gebruik geen beschadigd
apparaat.
• Volg de installatie-instructies op die zijn
meegeleverd met het apparaat.
• Wees voorzichtig met het verplaatsen
van het apparaat, het is zwaar. Draag
altijd veiligheidshandschoenen.
• Dicht de oppervlakken af met kit om te
voorkomen dat ze gaan opzetten door
vocht.
• Bescherm de bodem van het apparaat
tegen stoom en vocht.
• Installeer het apparaat niet naast een
deur of onder een raam. Dit voorkomt
dat heet kookgerei van het apparaat valt
als de deur of het raam wordt geopend.
• Houd de minimumafstand naar andere
apparaten en units in acht. Raadpleeg
de instructies voor het monteren.
• Als het apparaat geïnstalleerd is boven
lades zorg er dan voor dat de ruimte tus-
sen de onderkant van het apparaat en
de bovenste lade voldoende is voor
luchtcirculatie. Raadpleeg de instructies
voor het monteren.
• De onderkant van het apparaat kan heet
worden. Wij raden aan om een onbrand-
baar scheidingspaneel te plaatsen onder
het apparaat om te voorkomen dat de
onderkant kan worden aangeraakt.
Aansluiting aan het elektriciteitsnet
Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor brand
en elektrische schokken.
• Alle elektrische aansluitingen moeten
door een gediplomeerd elektromonteur
worden gemaakt.
• Dit apparaat moet worden aangesloten
op een geaard stopcontact.

• Verzeker u ervan dat de stekker uit het
stopcontact is getrokken, voordat u welke
werkzaamheden dan ook uitvoert.
• Gebruik de juiste stroomkabel.
• Voorkom dat de stroomkabels verstrikt
raken.
• Zorg ervoor dat de stroomkabel of stek-
ker (indien van toepassing) het hete ap-
paraat of heet kookgerei niet aanraakt
als u het apparaat op de nabijgelegen
contactdozen aansluit
• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat correct is
geïnstalleerd. Losse en onjuiste stroomka-
bels of stekkers (indien van toepassing)
kunnen ervoor zorgen dat de contactklem
te heet wordt.
• Zorg ervoor dat er een schokbescher-
ming wordt geïnstalleerd.
• Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet wordt be-
last door trekken.
• Zorg dat u de hoofdstekker (indien van
toepassing) of kabel niet beschadigt.
Neem contact op met de service-afdeling
of een elektromonteur om een bescha-
digde hoofdkabel te vervangen.
• De elektrische installatie moet een isola-
tieapparaat bevatten waardoor het ap-
paraat volledig van het lichtnet afgeslo-
ten kan worden. Het isolatieapparaat
moet een contactopening hebben met
een minimale breedte van 3 mm.
• Gebruik alleen de juiste isolatie-appara-
ten: stroomonderbrekers, zekeringen
(schroefzekeringen moeten uit de houder
worden verwijderd), aardlekschakelaars
en contactgevers.
Gasaansluiting
• Alle gasaansluitingen moeten door een
gediplomeerd elektromonteur worden
gemaakt.
• Zorg ervoor dat er koude luchtcirculatie
in het apparaat aanwezig is.
• Op het typeplaatje staat informatie over
de gastoevoer.
• Dit apparaat mag niet aangesloten wor-
den op een inrichting dat producten af-
voert voor verbranding. Sluit het appa-
raat aan volgens de geldende installatie-
regels. Let op de vereisten voor voldoen-
de ventilatie.
Gebruik
Waarschuwing! Gevaar op letsel,
brandwonden of elektrische schokken
• Gebruik dit apparaat in een huishoudelij-
ke omgeving.
• De specificatie van het apparaat mag
niet worden veranderd.
• Laat het apparaat tijdens het gebruik
niet onbeheerd achter.
• Bedien het apparaat niet met natte han-
den of als het contact maakt met water.
• Leg geen bestek of deksels van steelpan-
nen op de kookzones. Ze zijn heet.
• Zet de kookzone op "uit" na elk gebruik.
• Het apparaat mag niet worden gebruikt
als werkblad of aanrecht.
• Sluit het apparaat direct af van de
stroomtoevoer als het oppervlak van het
apparaat gebroken is. Dit om elektrische
schokken te voorkomen.
Waarschuwing! Brand- of
explosiegevaar.
• Verhitte vetten en olie kunnen ontvlam-
bare damp afgeven. Houd vlammen of
verwarmde voorwerpen uit de buurt van
vet en olie als u er mee kookt.
• De dampen die hete olie afgeeft kunnen
spontane ontbranding veroorzaken.
• Gebruikte olie die voedselresten bevat
kan brand veroorzaken bij een lagere
temperatuur dan olie die voor de eerste
keer wordt gebruikt.
• Plaats geen ontvlambare producten of
items die vochtig zijn door ontvlambare
producten in, bij of op het apparaat.
Waarschuwing! Risico op schade aan
het apparaat.
• Zet geen hete pannen op het bedie-
ningspaneel.

• Laat kookgerei niet droogkoken.
• Laat geen voorwerpen of kookgerei op
het apparaat vallen. Het oppervlak kan
beschadigen.
• Activeer de kookzones niet met lege pan-
nen of zonder pannen erop.
• Geen aluminiumfolie op het apparaat
leggen.
• Pannen van gietijzer, aluminium of met
beschadigde bodems kunnen krassen
veroorzaken in het glaskeramiek. Til deze
voorwerpen altijd op als u ze moet ver-
plaatsen op het kookoppervlak.
• Zorg voor een goede ventilatie in de
ruimte waar het apparaat is geënstal-
leerd.
• Zorg ervoor dat de ventilatieopeningen
niet geblokkeerd zijn.
• Gebruik alleen stabiel kookgerei met de
juiste vorm en een diameter groter dan
de afmetingen van de branders. Er be-
staat een risico op oververhitting en bre-
ken van de glazen plaat (indien toepas-
selijk).
• Zorg dat de vlam niet uit gaat als u de
knop snel van de maximale stand naar
de minimale stand draait.
• Zorg ervoor dat de pannen in het midden
van de ringen worden gezet en niet uit-
steken over de randen van de kookplaat.
• Gebruik alleen de accessoires die zijn
meegeleverd met het apparaat.
• Plaats geen vlamverdeler op de brander.
Onderhoud en reiniging
Waarschuwing! Risico op schade aan
het apparaat.
• Reinig het apparaat regelmatig om te
voorkomen dat het materiaal van het op-
pervlak achteruitgaat.
• Gebruik geen waterstralen of stoom om
het apparaat te reinigen.
• De branders niet in de afwasautomaat
reinigen.
• Maak het apparaat schoon met een
vochtige, zachte doek. Gebruik alleen
neutrale schoonmaakmiddelen. Gebruik
geen schuurmiddelen, schuursponsjes,
oplosmiddelen of metalen voorwerpen.
Verwijdering
Waarschuwing! Gevaar voor letsel of
verstikking.
• Neem contact met uw plaatselijke over-
heid voor informatie m.b.t. correcte afval-
verwerking van het apparaat.
• Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Snijd het netsnoer van het apparaat af
en gooi dit weg.
• Maak de externe gasleidingen plat.

Ontsteking van de brander
Steek de brander altijd aan, voordat u
er potten of pannen op zet.
Om de brander aan te steken:
1. Druk de bedieningsknop helemaal in en
draai hem tegen de klok in naar de
maximale stand gemarkeerd met

2. Houd de knop ongeveer 5 seconden in-
gedrukt; hierdoor wordt het thermo-
koppel heet en wordt de veiligheids-

Als de brander na 15 seconden nog niet
brandt, de bedieningsknop loslaten en min-

Belangrijk! Als er geen elektriciteit is kunt u
de brander zonder de elektrische
voorziening aansteken; breng een vlam
dichtbij de brander, druk de bijbehorende
knop in en draai hem tegen de klok in op
de maximale stand.
Waarschuwing! Wees uiterst
voorzichtig bij het gebruik van open
vuur in een keuken. De fabrikant kan niet
aansprakelijk gesteld worden in geval van
onjuist gebruik van de vlam.
Als de brander onbedoeld uit gaat,
draai de bedieningsknop dan in de
uitstand en wacht minstens 1 minuut voor-
dat u hem opnieuw probeert aan te steken.
Bij het weer inschakelen van de net-
spanning, na installatie of stroomuitval
is het normaal dat de vonkontsteking auto-
matisch geactiveerd wordt.

Om de vlam te doven, de bijbehorende

Waarschuwing! Draai de vlam altijd
lager of schakel hem uit voordat u de
pan van de brander haalt.

Energiebesparing
• Sluit pannen, indien mogelijk, altijd af met
een deksel.
• Zodra vloeistof begint te koken, de vlam
laag zetten en de vloeistof laten prutte-
len.

Onderhoud en reiniging
Waarschuwing! Schakel het apparaat
uit en laat het afkoelen voordat u het
schoonmaakt.
Waarschuwing! Het reinigen van het
apparaat met een stoom- of
hogedrukreiniger is om veiligheidsredenen
niet toegestaan.
Waarschuwing! Gebruik geen
schurende reinigingsmiddelen,
staalwol of zuren, deze zullen het apparaat

Om voedselresten te verwijderen de email-
le onderdelen, "deksels" en "kronen" af-
wassen met warm zeepsop.
Onderdelen van roestvrij staal afwassen
met water en vervolgens afdrogen met een
zachte doek.
Dit model is uitgerust met elektrische ontste-
king, die bestaat uit een keramische "bou-
gie" met elektrode.
Houd deze goed schoon om problemen bij
de ontsteking te voorkomen.

• De netaansluiting staat onder stroom.
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer naar de net-
aansluiting uit.
• Loszittende en onvakkundig aange-
brachte stekkerverbindingen kunnen
oververhitting van de aansluiting veroor-
zaken.
• Klemaansluitingen vakkundig uitvoeren.
• Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet wordt be-
last door trekken.
Belangrijk! U moet de minimale afstanden
ten opzichte van andere apparaten en
keukenkastjes of andere eenheden in acht
nemen in overeenstemming met de
Montage-instructies.
De minimale afstand van de rand tot de zij-
wand moet 100 mm bedragen.
Als er geen oven onder het kooktoestel is,
plaats dan een scheidingspaneel op een
minimale afstand van 20 mm van de onder-
kant van het kooktoestel.
Bescherm de uitgesneden oppervlakken
van het werkblad tegen vocht met een ge-
schikt afdichtmiddel, zoals het product in
het meegeleverde plastic zakje. De afdich-
ting dicht de opening tussen het apparaat
en het werkblad af Gebruik geen siliconen
afdichtmiddel tussen het apparaat en het
werkblad. Installeer het apparaat niet
naast deuren en onder ramen; warm kook-
gerei kan van de pannensteunen worden
gestoten als deuren en ramen worden geo-
pend.
Gasaansluiting
Waarschuwing! Alleen een erkende
installatietechnicus mag het apparaat
installeren.
Waarschuwing! Dit apparaat mag
niet aangesloten worden op een
afvoerinrichting voor
verbrandingsproducten.
De installatie moet voldoen aan de gelden-
de plaatselijke voorschriften.
De aansluiting van de kookplaat op de
gasleiding of gasfles moet uitgevoerd wor-
den met een onbuigzame koperen of stalen
pijpleiding met fittingen die voldoen aan de
plaatselijke voorschriften, of met een roest-
vrij stalen slang zonder onderbrekingen die
voldoet aan de plaatselijke voorschriften.
Als u afwijkingen aan de leiding con-
stateert, deze niet repareren maar
contact opnemen met uw plaatselijke Klan-
tenservice (zie hoofdstuk Service).
De aansluiting moet correct geïnstalleerd
worden, vastgezet aan de aansluitpijp van
de kookplaat. Anders kan er gas gaan lek-
ken

Waarschuwing! Controleer, na
voltooiing van de installatie, of alle
leidingfittingen perfect afgedicht zijn.
Gebruik hiervoor zeepsop en nooit een
vlam.
Aansluiting op het elektriciteitsnet
Eventuele voor de installatie van deze ma-
chine noodzakelijke elektrotechnische werk-
zaamheden moeten worden uitgevoerd
door een gekwalificeerde elektricien of be-
kwame persoon, volgens de huidige regel-
geving.
Controleer vóór de aansluiting of het nomi-
nale voltage op het typeplaatje van het ap-
paraat overeenkomt met het beschikbare
toevoervoltage. Controleer ook het vermo-
gen van het apparaat en zorg ervoor dat
de bedrading de juiste lengte heeft voor
het vermogen (zie hoofdstuk Technische ge-
gevens).
Het typeplaatje bevindt zich aan de onder-
ste behuizing van het kooktoestel.
Het apparaat is voorzien van een aansluit-
snoer. Dit moet voorzien zijn van een ge-
schikte stekker, die geschikt is voor de be-
lasting die vermeld is op het identificatie-
plaatje (zie hoofdstuk Technische gege-
vens).
De stekker moet in een geschikt stopcontact
worden gestoken. Als het apparaat recht-
streeks aangesloten wordt op het elektrici-
teitsnet, moet u een tweepolige schakelaar
monteren tussen het apparaat en de elek-
trische voeding, met een opening tussen de
contactpunten van de schakelaar van min-
stens 3 mm. De tweepolige schakelaar moet
geschikt zijn voor de vereiste belasting en
voldoen aan de geldende voorschriften.
Het aansluitsnoer moet zodanig geplaatst
worden dat het nergens een temperatuur
kan bereiken van 90 °C. De blauwe neu-
traaldraad moet aangesloten worden op
de eindklem gemarkeerd met "N". De brui-
ne (of zwarte) fasedraad (gemonteerd in
het contact van de eindklem gemarkeerd
met "L") moet altijd worden aangesloten op
de fase van het voedingsnet.
Elektrische vereisten
De fabrikant kan niet aansprakelijk wor-
den gesteld als de veiligheidsvoorschrif-
ten niet worden opgevolgd.
Deze kookplaat is ontworpen voor aanslui-
ting aan 230V 50Hz wisselspanning.
Controleer vóór het in gebruik nemen of de
op het typeplaatje aangegeven stroom-
soort en netspanning overeenkomen met
stroomsoort en netspanning in uw woning.
Het typeplaatje bevindt zich aan de onder-
kant van het apparaat.
De kookplaat heeft een flexibel snoer met 3
kernen.
Na voltooiing mag er geen snede, of los-
hangende draden aanwezig zijn en de ka-
belklem moet goed vastzitten over de bui-
tenste bescherming van de draad.
Vervanging van het aansluitsnoer.
Waarschuwing! Het aansluitsnoer
mag alleen door onze Klantenservice
of door een erkend installateur worden
vervangen, in overeenstemming met de
geldende voorschriften.
Als het aansluitsnoer vervangen moet wor-
den, mag alleen een snoer van het type
H05V2V2-F T90 worden gebruikt. De door-
snede van het snoer moet geschikt zijn voor
het voltage en de bedrijfstemperatuur. De
geel/groene aardedraad moet ongeveer 2
cm langer zijn dan de bruine (of zwarte) fa-
sedraad.
Omzetting gasinstelling
Dit model is ontworpen voor gebruik
met aardgas maar kan omgebouwd
worden voor gebruik met een butagas of
propaangas, door de juiste sproeiers te
monteren. Deze sproeiers worden niet bij
het apparaat geleverd, maar moeten be-
steld worden bij de Klantenservice (zie
hoofdstuk Service).

Waarschuwing! Ombouw of
vervanging mag alleen verricht
worden door een erkend installateur.
Sproeiers vervangen:
1. Verwijder de pannensteun.
2. Verwijder de branderdeksel en de
kroon.
3. Draai met behulp van een sleutel 7 de
sproeiers los en verwijder ze, vervang
ze door de sproeiers die vereist zijn
voor het soort gas dat u gebruikt.
4. Zet de onderdelen in omgekeerde
volgorde weer terug.
Belangrijk! Vervang het typeplaatje (dat
vlakbij de gastoevoerleiding zit) door het
plaatje voor de nieuwe gassoort voordat u
het apparaat afdicht. Als het apparaat al
afgedicht is, plak het plaatje dan op de
gebruiksaanwijzing, na het hoofdstuk
Technische gegevens, in de buurt van de
tekening van het typeplaatje.

dat bij het apparaat geleverd is
Als de druk van het
toevoergas
anders
of variabel is, in vergelijking met het-
geen vereist is, moet u een geschikte druk-
regelaar installeren, die niet bij het product
is geleverd en die apart besteld moet wor-
den bij de Klantenservice (zie hoofdstuk
Service). De drukregelaar moet op de gast-
oevoerleiding gemonteerd worden, in over-
eenstemming met de geldende voorschrif-
ten.
Het typeplaatje bevindt zich aan de onder-
kant van het apparaat
Vlamhoogte instellen
Nadat de kookplaat volledig geïnstalleerd
is, moet u de minimuminstelling van de vlam
controleren:
1. Draai de gaskraan op de maximale
stand en ontsteek de vlam.
2. Zet de gaskraan op de stand voor mi-
nimumvlam en draai de bedienings-
knop een paar keer van minimum op
maximum. Als de vlam onstabiel is of uit
gaat, gaat u als volgt te werk.
3. Steek de brander weer aan en zet hem
op de minimumstand.
4. Verwijder de bedieningsknop.
5. Gebruik een kleine platte schroeven-
draaier en draai de stelschroef tot de
vlam stabiel is en niet dooft als de knop
van minimum naar maximum wordt ge-
draaid, en omgekeerd (zie volgende
afbeelding).
6. Herhaal deze procedure voor alle
branders.
7. Monteer de knoppen weer.
Waarschuwing! Als het apparaat
aangesloten is op vloeibaar gas (G31
propaan of G30 butaan), moet de
stelschroef zo vast mogelijk gedraaid
worden.

Energie besparen
Zorg er voor gebruik voor dat de branders en pansteunen goed worden geplaatst.
Gebruiken alleen kookgerei met een bodemdiameter die geschikt is voor de afmeting
van de plaat.
Zet de pan in het midden van de brander.
Warm alleen de hoeveelheid water op die u nodig heeft.
Doe indien mogelijk altijd een deksel op de pan.
Wanneer de vloeistof begint te koken, draait u de vlam omlaag, totdat de vloeistof
zachtjes pruttelt.
Gebruik indien mogelijk een hogedrukpan. Zie de gebruikshandleiding van de
hogedrukpan.
Milieubescherming
Recycle de materialen met het symbool .
Gooi de verpakking in een geschikte
verzamelcontainer om het te recyclen.
Help om het milieu en de volksgezondheid
te beschermen en recycle het afval van
elektrische en elektronische apparaten.
Gooi apparaten gemarkeerd met het
symbool
niet weg met het huishoudelijk
afval. Breng het product naar het
milieustation bij u in de buurt of neem
contact op met de gemeente.
Verpakkingsmaterialen
De materialen met het symbool
zijn re-
cyclebaar. Gooi de verpakking in een ge-

IKEA GARANTIE
Hoe lang is de garantie van IKEA geldig?
Deze garantie is vijf (5) jaar geldig vanaf
de oorspronkelijke datum van aankoop van
uw apparaat bij IKEA, tenzij het apparaat
van het merk LAGAN is, dan geldt een ga-
rantieperiode van twee (2) jaar. De origine-
le kassabon is nodig als aankoopbewijs. Als
er tijdens de garantieperiode werkzaamhe-
den worden uitgevoerd, wordt de garantie-
periode van het apparaat niet verlengd,
dat geldt ook voor de nieuwe onderdelen.
Welke apparatuur valt niet onder de vijf
(5) jaar garantie van IKEA?
De apparaten van het merk LAGAN en alle
apparaten die gekocht zijn vóór 1 augustus
2007.
Wie zal de service uitvoeren?
De IKEA servicedienst zal de service uitvoe-
ren
via het
eigen bedrijf of het erkende ser-
vicepartnernetwerk.
Wat valt er onder de garantie?
De garantie dekt storingen van het appa-
raat, die veroorzaakt zijn door verkeerde
constructie of materiaalfouten vanaf de
aankoopdatum bij IKEA. Deze garantie is
uitsluitend van toepassing bij huishoudelijk
gebruik. De uitzonderingen worden onder
de hoofding “Wat valt er niet onder deze
garantie?” gespecificeerd. Binnen de ga-
rantieperiode worden er geen kosten om
de storing te verhelpen aangerekend,
d.w.z. reparaties, onderdelen, arbeidsloon
en transport, op voorwaarde dat het appa-
raat toegankelijk is voor reparatie zonder
speciale kosten en dat het defect betrek-
king heeft op verkeerde constructie of ma-
teriaalfouten die onder de garantie vallen.
Op deze voorwaarden zijn de EG-richtlij-
nen (Nr. 99/44/EG) en de respectievelijke
plaatselijke voorschriften van toepassing.

dom van IKEA.
Wat zal IKEA doen om het probleem op te
lossen?
De door IKEA aangestelde servicedienst zal
het product onderzoeken en bepalen, dit
uitsluitend ter eigen beoordeling, of het ge-
dekt wordt door deze garantie. Als het ge-
dekt blijkt te zijn, zal de IKEA servicedienst
of de erkende servicepartner dan via het
eigen bedrijf, uitsluitend ter eigen beoorde-
ling, ofwel het defecte product repareren of
het vervangen door hetzelfde of een verge-
lijkbaar product.
Wat valt er niet onder deze garantie?
Normale slijtage.
Opzettelijk aangebrachte schade of
schade door verwaarlozing, schade ver-
oorzaakt door het niet opvolgen van de
bedieningshandleiding, onjuiste installa-

of aansluiting op een verkeerd volta-
ge, schade veroorzaakt door chemische
of elektro-chemische reactie, roest, corro-
sie of waterschade, maar niet beperkt tot
schade veroorzaakt door overmatig kalk-
gehalte van de watertoevoer, schade
veroor zaakt door abnormale omge-
vingsomstandigheden.
Verbruiksonderdelen, met inbegrip van
batterijen en lampjes.
Niet-functionele en decoratieve onderde-
len die niet van invloed zijn op het nor-
male gebruik van het apparaat, inclusief
eventuele krassen en mogelijke kleurver-
schillen.
Onvoorziene schade veroorzaakt door
vreemde voor-werpen of stoffen en het
reinigen of deblokkeren van filters, af-
voersystemen of wasmiddellades.
Schade aan de volgende onderdelen:
glaskeramiek, accessoires, serviesgoed
en be
stekmandjes, toevoer- en afvoerpij-
pen, afdichtingen, lampen en lampen-
kapjes, schermen, knoppen, behuizingen
en gedeeltes van behuizingen, tenzij kan
worden aangetoond dat deze veroor-
zaakt zijn door fabricagefouten.

Gevallen waarbij geen storing geconsta-
teerd kon worden tijdens het bezoek van
een technicus.
Reparaties die niet zijn uitgevoerd door
onze aange-stelde servicediensten en/of
een erkende contractuele servicepartner
of wanneer er niet-originele onderdelen
gebruikt zijn.
Reparaties die veroorzaakt zijn door in-
stallatie die verkeerd of niet in overeen-
stemming met de specificatie is uitge-
voerd.
Gebruik van het apparaat in niet-huis-
houdelijke omgeving d.w.z. professioneel
gebruik.
Transportschade. Indien het apparaat
door een klant naar zijn huis of een an-
der adres vervoert, kan IKEA niet aan-
sprakelijk gesteld worden voor eventuele
transportschade. Indien IKEA het appa-
raat aflevert op het door de klant aange-
geven adres, dan is eventuele schade die
ontstaan is
tijdens de
aflevering gedekt
door de garantie.
Kosten voor de uitvoering van de instal-
latie van het IKEA-apparaat. Indien de
IKEA servicedienst of de erkende service-
partner het apparaat, binnen de voor-
waarden van deze garantie, repareert of
vervangt, zal de servicedienst of de er-
kende servicepartner, indien nodig, het
gerepareerde apparaat of het vervan-
gende apparaat installeren.
Deze beperking is niet van toepassing op
foutloze werkzaamheden uitgevoerd door
een gekwalificeerd specialist met gebruik
van onze originele onderdelen teneinde het
apparaat aan te passen aan de technische
veiligheidsspecificaties van een ander EU-
land.
Hoe zijn de landelijke wetten van
toepassing
De garantie van IKEA geeft u specifieke
wettelijke rechten, die op
zijn min
st voldoen
aan alle plaatselijke wettelijke eisen die per
land verschillend zijn.
Gebied van geldigheid
Voor apparaten die in een EU-land zijn
aangeschaft en meegenomen worden naar
een ander EU-land, zal de dienstverlening
uitgevoerd worden in het kader van de ga-
rantievoorwaarden die in het nieuwe land
gebruikelijk zijn. Een verplichting om dien-
sten te verlenen in het kader van de garan-
tie bestaat uitsluitend als:
het apparaat en de installatie ervan vol-
doen aan de technische specificaties van
het land waarin aanspraak gemaakt
wordt op de garantie;
het apparaat en de installatie ervan in
overeen-stemming zijn met de montage-
instructies en de veiligheidsinformatie die
in de gebruikershandleiding staan.
De speciale Klantenservice voor
apparaten
van
IKEA:
Aarzel alstublieft niet om contact op te ne-
men met de speciale IKEA Klantenservice
om:
1. een beroep te doen op deze garantie;
2. uitleg te vragen over de installatie van
het IKEA appa-raat in het daarvoor
bedoelde keukenmeubel van IKEA. De
service geeft u geen uitleg met betrek-
king tot:
– de volledige installatie van uw IKEA
keuken;
– aansluitingen op het elektriciteitsnet
(als het appa-raat geleverd wordt
zonder stekker en kabel), op de wa-
ter- en gasleiding, want dit moet ge-
daan worden door een erkend in-
stallateur.
3. uitleg te vragen over de gebruikers-
handleiding en de specificaties van het
IKEA apparaat.
