Placing The Unit
Place the amplifier on a level, firm surface, avoiding direct sunlight and sources of heat or damp.
Do not place the SA550 on top of a power amplifier or other source of heat.
Do not place the amplifier in an enclosed space such as a bookcase or closed cabinet unless there
is good provision for ventilation. The SA550 is designed to run warm during normal operation.
Do not place any other component or item on top of the amplifier as this may obstruct airflow around
the heat-sink, causing the amplifier to run hot (the unit placed on top of the amplifier would become
hot too).
Make sure the remote-control receiver to the right of the front panel display is unobstructed,
otherwise this will impair the use of the remote-control.

If you are unsure as to how your system should be connected, please contact your JBL dealer who
will be happy to help you.
Bluetooth Operation
To pair your Bluetooth source device with the SA550, open the Bluetooth settings on your source device
and scan for discoverable products to pair with. Select JBL SA550 #### from the list.
By default, the amplifier can be discovered and paired to when switched on and not connected to another
Bluetooth device – it does not need to be on the BT input. This function can be overridden by changing
the BT Auto SW setting in the menu.
Note: With the BT Auto SW setting changed to Off, the amplifier must be on the
BT input to be discovered by a new device and paired for playing music.
The amplifier can recall 5 device pairings. If 5 pairings already exist and a new pairing is made, the oldest
pairing will be replaced.
Volume Control
When playing music from Bluetooth, the volume of the amplifier can be controlled from your device.
Because portable devices often have a volume slider, there is a maximum volume setting in the amplifier to
prevent excessive volume output being selected accidentally.
Note: To adjust the maximum volume from Bluetooth, adjust the BT Volume
setting in the menu. The default is 40.

Mise en place de l’appareil
Mettez l’amplificateur sur une surface ferme, de niveau, évitant la lumière directe du soleil et des
sources de chaleur et d’humidité.
Ne posez pas le SA550 au-dessus d’un amplificateur ou de toute autre source de chaleur.
Ne mettez pas l’amplificateur dans un espace fermé tel qu’une bibliothèque ou une armoire à moins
qu’elle ne soit pourvue d’une bonne ventilation. Le SA550 est conçu pour chauffer pendant son
fonctionnement normal.
Ne placez aucun autre composant ou objet sur l’amplificateur, car cela pourrait obstruer la
circulation de l’air autour du dissipateur thermique, ce qui provoquerait une surchauffe de
l’amplificateur (l’appareil placé sur l’amplificateur deviendrait chaud lui aussi).
Assurez-vous que le récepteur de la télécommande sur la droite de l’affichage de la façade n’est
pas obstrué, sinon cela peut générer l’utilisation de la télécommande.

Fonctionnement du Bluetooth
Pour jumeler votre appareil source Bluetooth avec le SA550, ouvrez les paramètres Bluetooth sur votre
appareil source et recherchez les produits détectables à jumeler. Sélectionnez JBL SA550 #### dans la
liste.
Par défaut, l’amplificateur peut être découvert et jumelé lorsqu’il est allumé sans être connecté à un autre
appareil Bluetooth – il n’est pas nécessaire qu’il soit sur l’entrée BT. Cette fonction peut être annulée en
modifiant le paramètre BT Auto SW dans le menu.
Remarque : Lorsque le paramètre BT Auto SW est réglé sur Off, l’amplificateur
doit être sur l’entrée BT pour être détecté par un nouvel appareil et jumelé pour
jouer de la musique.
L’amplificateur peut rappeler 5 jumelages d’appareils. Si 5 jumelages existent déjà et qu’un nouveau
jumelage est réalisé, le plus ancien sera remplacé.
Contrôle du volume
Lors de la lecture de musique par Bluetooth, le volume de l’amplificateur peut être contrôlé à partir de votre
appareil. Les appareils portables étant souvent dotés d’un curseur de volume, l’amplificateur dispose d’un
réglage de volume maximum afin d’éviter qu’un volume excessif ne soit sélectionné accidentellement.
Remarque : Pour régler le volume maximum à partir de Bluetooth, réglez le
paramètre Volume BT dans le menu. La valeur par défaut est 40.

Gerät aufstellen
Stellen Sie den Verstärker auf einer ebenen, festen Oberfläche auf. Achten Sie darauf, dass das
Gerät keinem direkten Sonnenlicht oder Wärme- bzw. Feuchtigkeitsquellen ausgesetzt ist.
Stellen Sie den SA550 nicht auf einen Leistungsverstärker oder eine andere Wärmequelle.
Stellen Sie den Verstärker nicht in ein geschlossenes Bücherregal oder einen Schrank, es sei denn,
es ist für ausreichende Belüftung gesorgt. Der SA550 wird bei Normalbetrieb warm.
Stellen Sie kein anderes Gerät oder einen Gegenstand auf den Verstärker, da dies die
Luftzirkulation um den Kühlkörper behindern kann, und der Verstärker dadurch überhitzt (das Gerät,
das auf dem Verstärker steht, würde ebenfalls heiß werden).
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass sich vor dem Fernbedienungsempfänger rechts auf der Frontblende
keine Gegenstände befinden, da dies die Funktion der Fernbedienung beeinträchtigen würde.

Falls Sie sich unsicher sind, wie Sie Ihr System verbinden sollen, wenden Sie sich an Ihren JBL-
Händler, der Ihnen gerne behilflich sein wird.
Bluetooth-Steuerung
Um Ihr Bluetooth-Quellgerät mit dem SA550 zu koppeln, öffnen Sie die Bluetooth-Einstellungen auf Ihrem
Quellgerät und suchen Sie nach erkennbaren Produkten, mit denen Sie das Koppeln durchführen können.
Wählen Sie JBL SA550 #### aus der Liste.
Standardmäßig kann der Verstärker erkannt und gekoppelt werden, wenn er eingeschaltet und nicht mit
einem anderen Bluetooth-Gerät verbunden ist – er muss nicht am BT-Eingang angeschlossen sein.
Diese Funktion kann durch Ändern der Einstellung BT Auto SW im Menü außer Kraft gesetzt werden.
Hinweis: Wenn die Einstellung BT Auto SW auf Off gesetzt ist, muss der
Verstärker am BT-Eingang angeschlossen sein, damit er von einem neuen Gerät
erkannt und zur Musikwiedergabe gekoppelt werden kann.
Der Verstärker kann 5 Gerätekopplungen abrufen. Wenn bereits 5 Kopplungen bestehen und eine neue
Kopplung vorgenommen wird, wird die älteste Kopplung ersetzt.
Lautstärkeregler
Beim Wiedergeben von Musik über Bluetooth kann die Lautstärke des Verstärkers über Ihr Gerät geregelt
werden. Da tragbare Geräte häufig über einen Lautstärkeregler verfügen, gibt es im Verstärker eine
maximale Lautstärkeeinstellung, um zu verhindern, dass versehentlich eine zu hohe Lautstärke gewählt
wird.
Hinweis: Um die maximale Lautstärke über Bluetooth einzustellen, passen Sie
die Einstellung BT Volume im Menü an. Die Standardeinstellung ist 40.

Het apparaat plaatsen
Plaats de versterker op een vlakke, stevige ondergrond, vermijd direct zonlicht en vocht- en
warmtebronnen.
Plaats de JBL SA550 niet bovenop een eindversterker of andere warmtebron.
Plaats de versterker niet in een gesloten ruimte zoals een boekenkast of een afgesloten kast, tenzij
er een goede ventilatie is. De SA550 is ontworpen om tijdens normaal gebruik warm te worden.
Plaats geen ander component of voorwerp bovenop de versterker, omdat dit de luchtstroom rond
het koellichaam kan belemmeren, waardoor de versterker te heet wordt (het apparaat dat bovenop
de versterker is geplaatst zou ook te heet worden).
Zorg ervoor dat de ontvanger van de afstandsbediening aan de rechterkant van de display op het
voorpaneel niet wordt belemmerd, anders zal dit het gebruik van de afstandsbediening aantasten.

Luidsprekers aansluiten
Als u twijfelt over hoe uw systeem dient te worden aangesloten, neem dan contact op met uw JBL
dealer, zij staan u graag te hulp.
Bluetooth-bediening
Open de Bluetooth-instellingen op uw bronapparaat en zoek naar toegankelijke producten om uw
Bluetooth-bronapparaat te koppelen met de SA550. Selecteer JBL SA550 #### in de lijst.
De versterker is standaard toegankelijk en worden gekoppeld wanneer ingeschakeld en niet verbonden
met andere Bluetooth-apparatuur – hij hoeft niet te worden ingesteld op de BT-ingang. Deze functie kan
worden overschreven door de BT Auto SW-instelling in het menu te veranderen.
Opmerking: Wanneer u de BT Auto SW-instelling veranderd in Off, moet de
versterker worden ingesteld op de BT-ingang om te kunnen worden herkend door
een nieuw apparaat en te worden gekoppeld voor muziekweergave.
De versterker kan 5 eerder gekoppelde apparaten herroepen. Als er al 5 koppelingen bestaan en u voert
een nieuwe koppeling uit, wordt de oudste koppeling overschreven.
Volumeregeling
Wanneer u muziek afspeelt via Bluetooth, kan het volume van de versterker worden geregeld op uw
bronapparaat. Omdat draagbare apparaten vaak een volumeregelaar hebben, is er een maximale volume-
instelling in de versterker om te voorkomen dat er per ongeluk een te hoog volume wordt geselecteerd.
Opmerking: Pas de BT Volume-instelling in het menu aan om het maximale
Bluetooth-volume te veranderen. De standaard instelling is 40.

Posizionamento dell'unità
Posizionare l'amplificatore su una superficie piana e stabile, evitando l'esposizione alla luce solare
diretta e a fonti di calore o umidità.
Non collocare l'unità SA550 al di sopra di un amplificatore di potenza o altre fonti di calore.
Non posizionare l'amplificatore in uno spazio chiuso, come una libreria o un armadietto chiuso a
meno che non ci sia abbastanza spazio per una buona ventilazione. È normale che l'unità SA550 si
scaldi durante il funzionamento.
Non collocare qualsiasi altro componente o elemento al di sopra dell'amplificatore in quanto
potrebbe ostruire il flusso d'aria attorno al dissipatore di calore, causando il riscaldamento
dell'amplificatore (l'unità collocata al di sopra dell'amplificatore potrebbe diventare bollente).
Assicurarsi che il ricevitore del telecomando sulla destra del display del pannello frontale non sia
ostruito, altrimenti potrebbe impedire il funzionamento del telecomando.

Funzionamento in Bluetooth
Per associare il dispositivo sorgente Bluetooth all'unità SA550, aprire le impostazioni Bluetooth sul proprio
dispositivo sorgente ed eseguire la ricerca dei prodotti rilevabili con cui eseguire l'associazione. Selezionare
JBL SA550 #### dall'elenco.
Per impostazione predefinita, l'amplificatore può essere rilevato e associato quando è acceso e non
connesso ad un altro dispositivo Bluetooth: non è necessario che sia sull'ingresso BT. Questa funzione
può essere ignorata modificando l'impostazione BT Auto SW nel menu.
Nota: Con l'impostazione BT Auto SW modificata su Off, l'amplificatore deve
trovarsi sull'ingresso BT per essere rilevato da un nuovo dispositivo ed essere
associato per la riproduzione della musica.
L'amplificatore può richiamare 5 associazioni di dispositivi. Se esistono già 5 associazioni e ne viene
effettuata una nuova, verrà sostituita l'associazione più vecchia.
Controllo del volume
Durante la riproduzione di musica da Bluetooth, il volume dell'amplificatore può essere controllato dal
proprio dispositivo. Poiché i dispositivi portatili hanno spesso un dispositivo di scorrimento del volume,
nell'amplificatore è presente un'impostazione del volume massimo per evitare che venga selezionato
accidentalmente un volume eccessivo.
Nota: Per regolare il volume massimo dal Bluetooth, regolare l'impostazione BT
Volume nel menu. Il valore predefinito è 40.

Colocación de la unidad
Coloque el amplificador sobre una superficie plana y firme, evite la luz directa del sol y las fuentes
de calor o humedad.
No coloque el SA550 sobre un amplificador de potencia u otra fuente de calor.
No coloque el amplificador en un espacio cerrado, como en un librero o en un gabinete cerrado, a
menos que tenga una buena ventilación. El SA550 está diseñado para calentarse durante la
operación normal.
No coloque ningún otro componente u objeto encima del amplificador, ya que podría obstruir el flujo
de aire alrededor del disipador de calor, haciendo que el amplificador se caliente (la unidad
colocada encima del amplificador también podría calentarse).
Asegúrese de que el receptor del control remoto situado a la derecha de la pantalla del panel frontal
no esté obstruido; de lo contrario, afectará el uso del control remoto.

Si no está seguro de cómo debe conectarse su sistema, póngase en contacto con su distribuidor
JBL quien estará complacido de poder ayudarlo.
Funcionamiento de Bluetooth
Para emparejar su dispositivo fuente Bluetooth con el SA550, abra la configuración Bluetooth en su
dispositivo fuente y busque los dispositivos detectables con los que desee emparejarse. Seleccione JBL
SA550 #### de la lista.
De forma predeterminada, el amplificador se puede detectar y emparejar cuando está encendido y no
conectado a otro dispositivo Bluetooth – no es necesario que esté en la entrada BT. Esta función se
puede anular cambiando la configuración de BT Auto SW en el menú.
Nota: Una vez que la configuración de BT Auto SW se haya cambiado a Off, el
amplificador debe estar en la entrada BT para ser detectado por un nuevo
dispositivo y emparejado para reproducir música.
El amplificador puede almacenar hasta 5 emparejamientos de dispositivos. Si ya existen 5
emparejamientos y se realiza uno nuevo, se sustituirá el emparejamiento más antiguo.
Control de volumen
Al reproducir música desde Bluetooth, el volumen del amplificador se puede controlar desde el dispositivo.
Debido a que los dispositivos portátiles a menudo tienen un control deslizante de volumen, hay un ajuste
de volumen máximo en el amplificador para evitar que se seleccione accidentalmente una salida de
volumen excesiva.
Nota: Para ajustar el volumen máximo de Bluetooth, ajuste la configuración de
BT Volume en el menú. El valor predeterminado es 40.
