Thank you for buying the VDSM04! This unit is designed and manufactured for mixing 3 microphones together and send their combined stereo signals through transformer-balanced XLR outputs. The individually switchable phantom power and low-cut make the VDSM04 a valuable tool for any sound reinforcement, musical and recording application. Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer. 2. Description • Rear panel MIC INPUT 1-3: XLR balanced inputs for connection to any standard dynamic or condenser microphone. RIGHT and LEFT OUTPUTS: transformer-balanced XLR outputs for connection to the next device in the signal chain such as a signal processor or amplifier. RIGHT and LEFT TRIM CONTROLS: screwdriver-adjustable controls to vary the level of each output. NOTE: these controls are set at MIC level from the factory. Turning them anticlockwise increases the output level. These controls do not affect the AUX/HEADPHONE output. • Front panel MIC LEVEL 1-3: these controls adjust the level of the corresponding MIC channel. The level varies from infinity (off) to +60dB of gain (typical). PAN 1-3: adjust the relative right/left of each channel. PHONE/AUX: ¼” TRS jack which may be connected to a pair of headphones for personal monitoring or to an unbalanced input of a signal processor or amplifier. CLIP LED: indicates that clipping is about to occur or occurring in the VDSM04 circuitry. This LED begins to light 3dB below actual clipping. POWER SWITCH: applies power to the VDSM04. Located on the left side of the unit is the 12VDC power jack for connecting to the (included) adapter. Located on the right side of the unit is the battery compartment which houses 2 x 9V batteries. Dit toestel werd ontworpen om 3 microfoons te mixen en om het samengevoegde stereosignaal via transformatorgebalanceerde XLR uitgangen door te zenden. De afzonderlijk schakelbare fantoomvoeding en de hoogdoorlaatfilter maken van de VDSM04 een handig apparaat voor geluidsversterking tijdens de opname. Omschrijving • Achterpaneel MIC INPUT 1-3: gebalanceerde XLR-ingangen voor aansluiting met een standaard dynamische of condensormicrofoon. RIGHT en LEFT: transformatorgebalanceerde XLR-uitgangen voor aansluiting met het volgende toestel in de reeks, zoals een versterker of signaalprocessor. RIGHT en LEFT TRIM: het niveau van elke uitgang kan, met behulp van een schroevendraaier, worden bijgeregeld. OPMERKING: deze regelknoppen worden afgesteld op MIC-niveau. Cette unité a été conçue pour mixer 3 microphones et pour envoyer le signal stéréo combiné via des sorties XLR symétrisées par transformateur. L'alimentation fantôme et le filtre passe-haut sont individuellement commutable, ce qui fait du VDSM04 un outil indispensable pour amplifier le son lors d'un enregistrement. Description • Panneau arrière MIC INPUT 1-3: entrées XLR symétriques pour la connexion d’un microphone dynamique ou à condensateur. RIGHT et LEFT: sorties XLR symétrisées par transformateur pour la connexion vers l’appareil suivant comme p.ex. un processeur de signaux ou un amplificateur. RIGHT et LEFT TRIM: réglez le niveau de chaque sortie à l’aide d’un tournevis. REMARQUE : Les boutons de réglage sont positionnés au niveau du MIC. Tournez-les dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre pour augmenter le niveau de sortie. Les réglages n’affecteront pas la sortie AUX/HEADPHONE. • Panneau frontal MIC LEVEL 1-3: réglage du niveau (infinité (position minimale) à +60dB (typique)). PAN 1-3: balance des canaux de droite et de gauche. PHONE/AUX: connexion jack ¼” TRS pour deux casques d’écoute ou la connexion d’un signal asymétrique d’un processeur de signaux ou d’un amplificateur. VDSM04 5 VELLEMAN CLIP LED: indique le début ou la saturation actuelle du circuit du VDSM04. La LED s’allume à partir de 3dB endessous du niveau de saturation. POWER SWITCH: alimentation du VDSM04. À gauche se situe la prise d’alimentation 12VCC (adaptateur secteur inclus). À droite se situent la trappe à batteries accueillant 2 piles de 9V ainsi que les commutateurs de l’alimentation fantôme et du filtre passe-haut. 3. Ha sido diseñada para mezclar 3 micrófonos y para enviar la señal estéreo combinada por las salidas XLR balanceadas por transformador. Es posible conmutar la alimentación ‘phantom’ y el filtro de paso bajo individualmente. Por tanto, la VDSM04 es un aparato imprescindible para amplificar el sonido durante una grabación. RIGHT y LEFT TRIM: ajuste el nivel de cada salida con un destornillador. NOTA: Los botones de ajuste están ajustados al nivel de MIC. Gírelos en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para aumentar el nivel de salida. Los ajustes no afectan la salida AUX/HEADPHONE. VDSM04 6 VELLEMAN • Panel frontal MIC LEVEL 1-3: estos ajustes ajustan el nivel del canal MIC correspondiente. El nivel varía de infinidad (off) a +60dB de ganancia (típico). PAN 1-3: balance de los canales de derecha e izquierda. PHONE/AUX: conexión jack de ¼” TRS para dos auriculares o la conexión de una señal no balanceada de un procesador de señales o un amplificador.
